This place is fabulous for families! We checked in quickly with no wait or reservation and were taken immediately up river with equipment. Our 2.5 mile kayak trip was reasonably priced and took a little over an hour. Great water for beginners and a good place to have kids learn the feel of rowing. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

So fun and beautiful! The canoes and kayaks were in great shape. All the workers were kind, helpful and friendly!!! Out of all the activities we did in Broken Bow this was by far the most fun and as a bonus the most affordable!!! I would recommend it to anyone. They dropped us off at the head of the river so we could float down (that made the trip) and if you have your own life jackets I would recommend bringing them, if not they provide them they are just well loved!

We had a great time in our canoe ($23 for a 2-person canoe in Oct 2023), but I kind of wish they'd given us some pointers/instructions. We did NOT know what we were doing. We figured it out, but a few folks with us were a little anxious about it and I think a couple of pointers at the beginning of our trip might have put them at ease.You sign up and pay at this spot, then they drive you and your vehicle (kayak or canoe) up river and you get to enjoy a leisurely float down the river. Gorgeous views, pretty calm and clear waters. There were a few places where we got stuck on rocks, but I suppose that's part of the adventure, right? Like I said, we didn't know what we were doing... lol. I'd definitely do it again (I don't know about others in our group, though) - but I recommend that they have someone to help you out at the end of the trip. One of us slipped while getting out when the canoe decided to head back out on its own.

This was our family’s favorite part of the trip. Incredible views along the river, and it’s a steal for the service they provide of bussing you upriver and handling everything when you dock. It was only around $50 for two canoes seating 2 adults and 4 children. Staff is helpful and friendly. It’s a 2.5 mile float down the river and can go fast or slow, it’s up to you.

We had a float planned with another outfitter but thunderstorms prevented us from going. We stopped by here once the weather settled a bit and l got to enjoy a short one-hour float. Staff was super nice and recommended another outfitter (out original one really wasn’t helpful).

Super easy to rent a kayak single or two person or a canoe to row. They provide lifevests there to use and recommend you use them but they don't require it. You have to wait for a bus to pick you up and take you to the drop off point. The river was easy to navigate with pretty clear shallow water for most of the ride. The beginning of the river was a little bumpy with all the rocks and you can be tipped over so be careful and take it slow there. But the rest was smooth sailing!!An hour ride back but you can take as long as you want to get back, no rush. 👍 my first time kayaking with my boyfriend and it was very exciting, scary and fun. I recommend it. Good place. 23$ for the double kayak or the canoe. Remember to wear sunscreen, a cap and pants or leggings if you burn in the sun easily and don't wish to tan up. 😅Have fun and stay safe eveyone!!

Was simple and friendly. We got a canoe in good shape, clean, no issues. Felt bad because I didn't know the guys getting you set up got paid by tips so I figured I'd make a review with picture. Will be back on my next days off.

Showed up early for a beautiful, morning kayak and canoe ride down the river. The put-in area was a bit shallow and crowded with fishermen, so be patient and try to steer clear. Ended up flipping the kayak in a shallow area! Remaining couple miles was calm, scenic, peaceful, and a very memorable experience.

My family and I visited broken bow for Labor Day weekend in 2022. Kayaked for the first time, and it was an amazing experience. We enjoyed taking our time and enjoying the views! The guys who took us down to the water were awesome. Overall great experience and can't wait to be back!

We were excited and prepared for a float trip. Called the day before and was told 3:30 was the last trip. We drove 30 minutes and arrived at 3:07 and upon arrival they said they “decided to close at 3:00” and wouldn’t take us. Called Tippa Canoes and he offered to take us even though he normally didn’t go out at that time. Highly recommend Tippa Canoes!

This is the perfect float trip...not too long and the kayaks are good. My kids never been in a boat and was able to maneuver the river just fine, no tipping over! We went 2 days in a row, the prices are RIGHT! And the service is great, nice, helpful people!

Such a serene excursion, with a little excitement of slightly rougher waters at the beginning! Beautiful scenery, feels very natural and secluded. Towards the end, pull over to the shore and climb up the waterfall on the right hand side of the river bank!

For the price of 6 people was less than $50 for 2- canoes and the trip lasted 2 hours. These folks have only raised their prices twice in 2 years. Come show some love . The deserve it

This was totally amazing!! We went in a group of 8 and took 2 person kayaks down the river for 2 and 1/2 miles. It was really reasonably priced and an awesome experience. The water was calm so it wasn't too rough or difficult. You do have to row at least a little which can be tiring but not terrible. There were areas that were deep and areas that were shallow enough to get out and wade/swim in the water for a bit. Water was COLD but it felt good cause outside is hot. The scenery was beautiful and the staff was all really friendly and helpful!10/10 would recommend doing this while you're in the area!

One of the highlights of our trip! The crew was so helpful and friendly and got us onto the river quickly. Our kids loved it. There's a rope swing near the end by a campground area - look for it on the left, across the river from where you return your kayak. The kids had a blast getting out and playing on the rope swing.

Great small float outfit. Perfect for families with small children that dont want to go a long river ride.The bus ride is really short just up the road and the staff was really helpful.They give you 2 hours but honestly you have to really try hard to be gone that long. We took 1 canoe and really took our time and barely took an hour.With the water height controlled on the river its not terribly challenging to navigate even for novice paddlers.Id recommend bringing your own child life jackets if you have them.

Canoe and kayak rentals. River float takes about 1.5 hours. River is mostly calm and it's an easy float. A few small rapids at the beginning and then deeper until about 10' depth. We arrived around 11:00 and it was not busy at all. Around 12:30 when we ended the float, the parking lot was full.

Best value in Broken Bow! Beautiful scenery, cheap kayaks and canoes and great service!Get there early (before 10:30 AM) or plan to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour. Also, plan to get wet! The initial rapids are easy enough for kids but will splash in plenty of water your way.Must do in Broken Bow! Could have easily spent $40-50 per person on this outing, but was $12. What?!? Will do this again when I come back.

Easy to rent a single or double kayak or canoe for an hour or two. It's a 2 and 1/2 Mile horseshoe on the river and very safe. You are taken on a bus and dropped off with the kayak, then you are free to row at your own pace and finish at the rental spot. Very polite, courteous and helpful staff. Take change to tip them.

This place was great. I think it was $12 for a single kayak and $23 for a tandem. The trip down the river was awesome, even my 3 yo daughter loved the ride. Would definitely go again
