United has always been my grocery store of choice in town. It's clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I can find everything everytime as they don't change it up every other week like some places do. Comparable prices and they have produce from local growers when in season.

Nice place. Needs a renovation. Small but convenient. Has most items I like. I like their marinated meats. It's the only place I can get my favorite brand of pickles! I shop here maybe once a month. Employees can be nicer. Updated: Brand names are really expensive and overpriced.

I Love the service, it's close to my house & the everyone knows everyone environment But the grocery prices are usually really high on most of the things they sell.

Good weekly sales. Parking is always open upfront and usually in and out. Lanes are always stocked fully and usually no problem finding a worker if needed. Reminds me very much of Homeland, just not as busy. Cashiers are always nice and quick so even if there is alittle line, it doesn’t take long to get thru.

I've let it slip many times but enough is enough. I've lost count how many times we buy items where we find out they are past their expiration date. I was shopping there today and found a yogurt that was expired so I hand it in to let them know. It happens. But then I get home, and my apple juice is expired. How does this happen in one trip? Milk has been expired twice already as well. Cereal too.They must know about this and if not they desperately need a new system before they start selling pet or baby food that has expired and makes them very sick. Avoid shopping here unless you're willing to check the expiration date of every item you buy.Update July 19th, 2019: I'm not making this up - got a pack of cookies, thought they tasted dry and checked the date... yup. Expired.

Helpful and mostly friendly employees. Not very clean for a food store. Fair prices with specials. Convenient location. Easy in and out. Food is fresh. Would be better if they took your groceries to your car. Especially when you are using a cane to walk and 3 or 4 are just standing around chatting. In that, they are thoughtless. But we go there 2-3 times a week and enjoy it.

This place always seems to have odd things you can't find anywhere else. They always seem to be fairly quick. Occasionally there will be a line but they are fast to open a new Lane. A lot of the register help seems to be the younger crowd so they are usually in High Spirits or at least friendly. They have good bargains and if you catch them on the right day they have great bargains.

I put one star only because I can’t put 0. I’ve been trying to call them for over 2 hours and they refuse to answer and if they do answer then they instantly hang up on me. I never get greeted anytime I walk in and I usually have to wait on the teenagers to get don’t talking before they can ring me up. And they are always talking about their personal stuff while ringing people up which is very un professional in my opinion. I’m glad I wasn’t trying to call to place an order because then you guys would be missing out on money. I live out of town and now I have to drive all the way up there to ask a simple question. Very frustrated. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. And I will share my experience to anyone who ask or will listen. Very sad.

Yet another Homeland grocery store. They just haven't changed the name. Very little variety. No bulk/family size packages of anything, so most stuff tends to be on the expensive side. Also the checkout lanes are EXTREMELY narrow and slow to get through.

The employees last night were super awesome. I didn't realize it was after closing time.one I did realize it I HURRIED to get out. That being said the employees were still super friendly and helpful. I didn't catch any off their names but the closing shift on January 15th should be commended for a JOB WELL DONE! And for the record, I never post on these things.

Love this little home town grocery store, my parents shopped there in the 80’s and my family shops there now! The staff is great and the shelves are stocked.I assume the GM who always has a smile works non stop every time I’m there she’s always busy stocking or helping other’s! Great place!

Great small scale grocery store. Great staff: hardworking, helpful, honest. Friendly butcher. The store is clean and never too busy. The only downside is they seem to have electric problems several times a year. This led to store closure during normal hours as well as frozen items being off limits. They do a great job keeping customers safe due to this.

I love getting pork and beef from them! Always great cuts of meat, so much better than the pork soaked in super salty brine at the Wal-Marts. I will ONLY buy pork chops, pork steaks, pork roasts from them exclusively, They are the B.E.S.T!!

Hidden gem. Great little grocery store on the edge of town. First time shopping there met the person responsible for making the fruit and vegetables platters and had a very pleasant conversation about the store. Will definitely be visiting this store again.

Your employees or I'd say 98% of them always are very kind, and do their best to work with you if any problem arises wheather it's personal due to my grocery list and $ balance. If a card does not cooperate they figure it out for me. They are patient and friendly. The store is always clean, and tidy. And easy to find things. U would rather come here since I live in oak Park than drive across town to Walmart most times.Thank you for your service.

I'd like to small stories because they're easy to manage and get around in and find things unlike the big box chain stores which don't need your money but they are convenient on some items other than that you'll find me yet United Homeland or one of the locally owned stores or Mom and Pop stores and that's why I will do my business. America was built on the small businessman.
