I love Dollar General, the franchise; I I was thrilled when this one became a market; now I avoid just this one at all costs. The staff is rude & unhelpful and so is the manager. They apparently think that since they no longer have to help with checkout , they no longer have to help anywhere else in store, either. ---- I will also note that despite their statement that all Dollar Generals are going to nothing but self-checkout, this is not true. --- I now regularly stop at the new DG in Hugo, one of the ones in Paris, one in Sherman, and the one in Lane. All have cashiers available, all have friendly staff, and all make you want to visit again.

Used to love shopping there, until they got a new manager. She is very rude , we were waiting to check out and she had a very snooty attitude. Until she learns how to talk to people, I think I'll take my money elsewhere.

The people who work here are generally great and so nice but their general manager, tall older man, is rude and presumptive. I made a mistake with the self checkout machine. I own that! But when the man realized what I did his attitude immediately went from nice to rude and he proceeded to scold me and insinuated that just because he worked there and other retail stores that he knew more than me. Maybe so but I too have worked in retail and knew for a fact what he was telling me was inaccurate. I told him to just cancel the transaction and that I'd rather not give my business where I have to do their job for them anyway! I was never rude or impolite! I never raised my voice but I made it a point to let the other lady know that because of his rudeness in this situation I would no longer be a customer. Antlers may not be big but at least we got a few options! I will say that when we left, my 12 year old said the way the man was being rude had actually made him feel scared like he had done something wrong! Not okay, guy!

No employees at check out stations will work! They watch you check yourself out? Why? Are they afraid I’m a thief? If I can’t be properly be taken care of then I’ll take my business elsewhere! I usually buy all my cleaning and pet supplies there for a local business after working all day. Along with many others who also work all day. For the prices I pay there I strongly feel like the dg employees should be checking me out instead of watching me do it!

Store Is usually pretty clean and well organized. Good place to find food, housewares and personal care items. The only things they dont have are fresh meant and Vegas and fruit, although they do have these things that are frozen. Staff are somewhat friendly and they will take returns without a receipt if they have not been opened or came broken.

Well during this time with the pandemic and not working there could of been more leisure and understanding on my return last week. I got only half of my money back on items I was returning because I didn't have my receipt. I didn't have my receipt because about a month I took a dress back that was to small and exchanged it for one of lesser price and the employee whom was a manager never gave me my receipt back. So when I went to take these items back last week they just happened to be on the receipt he kept. I am a regular customer in this store and to be treated like my word was nothing. And on top of that the manager that was called told me I should of made sure he gave it back. Like it was my fault. I've worked in stores and the customer is always right and you sure the hell don't blame them because one of the employees failed to do his job. Ask if I wanted my receipt back.

They need more ppl working the registers. Most times their is only one going and they need at least 2 going at all times. Around the first of the month they should have someone there to run the third. Why have 3 of them if your not going to work them. The employees are nice and usually pleasant.

In the interest of honesty I used to dread going into this store. It was always crowded and hard to get down the isles and never had the things I needed. I was a Family Dollar fan. But lately I find myself choosing Dollar General more and more. The new layout is so nice. Its more open and the staff is always so friendly and helpful.

Well stocked and found everything okay. Unfortunately the cashier to customers waiting in line ratio was an offset. However, the checker remained steady at his job until all customers were on their way.

This is a good spot for many of your houseware or kitchen needs in Antlers in a pinch. Cashiers are usually helpful when looking for specific items. I really appreciate them being open even during most holidays. Really helps with emergencies.

I have been there multiple times due to its convience on my commute and 9 times out of 10 there isn't anyone at the counter so that I can pay for anything. today I walked out for the last time and left everything on the counter. needless to say I don't be going there anymore. luckilyI wasnt in a rush.

I found the employees friendly and knowledgeable. The shelves were mostly stocked. Their goods are inexpensive and well organized. They had a good variety of goods with a good selection of choices.

A lot cleaner than used to be but still cluttered and messy quite often. Its either packed with a check out line a mile long and only one cashier or dead with no cashier/employee in sight so either way you are waiting to check out 😏

Didn't have any phone chargers. Which was the only reason I stopped. Was traveling and just glad I didn't break down out in the middle of nowhere with no cell phone.

Dollar General is great.. you can get earbuds, DVDs,small appliances, food items, drinks, clothes..it's like a mini Walmart lol I love having this store in our town
