I grew up in Alva, but live in the Houston area now. My dog has very high anxiety which makes it impossible to get her treatment at the vet or groomed without sedation, which can become very costly. I was in Alva this week visiting my daughter and she said how much she liked Dr. Skoog and the staff at Alva vet. I took my fur baby out and they were able to sedate her there, do a full groom and exam, and she looks beautiful! And bonus the price was so very reasonable!! I will be back in town in August. Plan on taking my fur baby back! You all have a very knowledgeable vet that cares more about the animals and their owners than about the money. That is becoming rare nowadays.

I took my puppy Potato to her for a trim, bath, and nails done. She was amazing with him. Her attitude was absolutely amazing and she didn't treat me less than dirt. His haircut is absolutely beautiful and I'm so glad that we have an amazing person to take my baby too. I 💯 recommend going here.Also she was able to squeeze me in the same day I asked and she let me leave him there until after lunch.

I've never been so impressed with a vet and his employees if you love your animal this is the place to take it. The vet is very very knowledgeable, takes his time on explanations. He's more worried about your animal then your checking account . Quality place reasonable rates excellent excellent excellent

This place is AWESOME...couple years back, I boarded a homeless dog here for a few days til i could get her to her new home. Charge was nearly nothing compared to other clinics... now that I live here in Alva.... this place is my #1 go to for my scrappy lil Rosebud.... she was seen today, all better now, and Cost was under $20... Thanks Alva Vet Clinic... you guys are the best !!!

The doctor told us that much like covid, feline leukemia is nothing to worry about. Called for a vet in enid for a second opinion and was told that was not true.We will not be going back.

I delivered a kitten that was malfunctioning and they were able to shut it down very humanely and cared enough to overdose it so there was no chance of any pain he seemed to care enough to to make sure that kitten moved on peacefully and just that would be enough but the price tag on peace was very decent too
