It was quite bare, not a lot was stocked, shelves looked disheveled. I have seen more well kept stores. Found what I was looking for though. I didn't like the employee who constantly stared at my family and I. She was friendly but just could not take her eyes off us. She even went so far to follow us out the door. That made us uncomfortable. We did nothing to make ourselves suspicious. I understand being weary of people who are acting our of the norm but we were not. It is behavior like this that don't make you want to come back to a store or endorse it. I don't think we will be going back. On the details provided by Google it says masks are required, none of the employees wore masks.

Dollar General Store, 2724 N MainBuyers beware! This store doesnt know how to do business. I found out Sunday I had been overcharged. It is impossible to keep up with items as they are scanned, because a customer is too busy unloading the cart.I returned to my car and realized i had been overcharged for at least two items. When I came back in, the (manager?) named Rachel, sighed in an exasperated way, and literally started her sentence with, "Like I explained to the man in front of you..." Well, I tend not to eavesdrop on conversations of other shoppers.So. Rachel explained, "We have a new system we haven't figured out yet," saying the difference could not be refunded. I offered to go to my car, to return the item. She said that was not possible either.She never once said she was sorry. It would have gone a long way toward making me feel better.By the way, neither Rachel nor the clerk greeted me with a hello at the door or the register.I will never go to either Dollar General Store in Altus again.What I take from this is, if the price on the shelf is lower than that in the system, well, that is just too bad. You have to pay what they say you owe any way and don't have the option for a refund.Thankfully, my purchase was not a costly item. I feel bad for people who have very limited incomes, or are not as aware of their receipts.If I could, i would give this store zero stars or an F. I can only assume the store on S Main is the same.

This Dollar General is by far the cleanest one I have been in(this includes many in other states). The isles are not cluttered, the floor is clean, and the shelves are neat and orderly.The people who work they were nice as well.

I kept seeing something else every time I went through the t register line, went through 3 time and 2 times the nice lady says "yes we have that right over there, come and I will show you". Very courteous and knew her store.
