Eat at Jack’s Place in Agra.Lisa, the friendly energetic hard-working owner, came out from the kitchen after our meals were served. She stopped by our table to visit and check on us. I was interested in the history of the building and big pictures of the couple that hung on the walls. Those are her parents and that is Jack, the name given to the restaurant in his honor. The building was constructed around 1906 and has a history of many uses. It is especially sentimental to Lisa, because of her father’s unique tie to the building and previous ownership by relatives. She has a great story about all of this. Lisa opened Jack’s Place a couple of years ago; her first (and very successful) venture into the restaurant business.Agra is a small town. How small? No Dollar Store small. Dogs probably sleep undisturbed in the middle of the streets at night.The excellent reviews drew us to Jack’s Place for breakfast. We dropped in between the breakfast and lunch time rush. We settled in at a tall table centered in the building. The welcoming young lady on duty brought menus and took our coffee orders. Big Jack's Breakfast for me: two over easy, hashbrowns, bacon and a biscuit with gravy. My wife said that is a lot of food. She ordered a smaller version of this meal, Small Jack's Breakfast. The eggs cooked just right, thick smokey bacon, crispy hash browns and a big biscuit split in half smothered with house made sausage gravy. Yeah, it was a lot of food. It was all good!Go for a delicious breakfast or lunch Tuesday through Saturday, and Dinner on Friday nights. You will enjoy the food, and say hi to Lisa!Not sure where Agra is? It is easy to find it with these simple directions. From downtown Tryon, hop on the 105 east bound and drive 4.8 miles. Where the 105 T’s with 18 go north 1.8 miles. Jack’s Place will be on your left. 10 am is the best time of day to travel, rush hour traffic is usually over by then. As you pull into town make sure your radar detector is on and watch your speed. The town’s largest industry is issuing traffic citations. You’re Welcome!Wait, you don’t even know where Tryon, OK is? You ain’t from around here, are ya?

Great food and even better people! If you haven't had breakfast, lunch and dinner here you're missing out!!They accidentally threw our food away when we went to the restroom. Before I could say anything she realized what happened and asked how to fix it. We had half or less so I just asked for a third of the serving. She made a full basket of chicken and fries!

Lisa and her girls did such an incredible job yesterday that we tipped both our cooks and our waitress (which was Lisa 😉).. and someone anonymously paid for our lunch ... he touched my heart and reenergized me and my girls we'll be back to doing our random acts of kindness 😁 and passing the good feelings on 💖Vegetarian options: I only know that the menu included gluten free and vegetarian choices.. I commented about it to my girls (Cece and Karen)Dietary restrictions: Lisa seems to go that extra "mile" to insure great customer service and her cooks are always happy to do whatever they need to... for their customers including fixing their food to fit any dietary restrictions...Parking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Great.. and the kids know right where to get the crayons from so they can color while waiting 😉Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access with wheelchair.. and Lisa will move or modify seating if needed for "anyone and everyone" (even if you don't have a wheelchair 😁).

I ordered the pulled pork breakfast burrito and it was very good! About the size of other big Cafe burritos, very filling for me a large guy. A large open main room with a very tall ceiling, chill place and people.

They have good specials, lunch baskets, love their seasoned tots. If you like dessert they have a good selection of pies.Parking: Parking along highway 18 on both sides, also parking on the south side, kid friendly, wheelchair accessible.

Best Reuben ever, delicious fried pickles and mushrooms, hubs had the melted Swiss mushroom burger and it was amazing, kids had chicken strips and they are fresh/real chicken that is deliciously fried. Try the chicken fried cheesecake or the chicken fried pecan pie…but the coconut cream pie and carrot cake are also the best around. So save room for dessert….or just eat it first :) this will be my go to diner! Very family friendly with a bright and cheerful atmosphere

I ordered the meatloaf dinner and it was so delicious and the green beans were sweet and it was such a treat, the mash potatoes and white gravy was so yummy! It was an amazing country style meal.The next day I went in again and ordered the avocado toast, it reminded me of home in San Diego! This will be my go-to place whenever I come into town!Mahalo ya’ll 🤙

Hubby & I stopped by Jack's place in Agra on our way north on Highway 18 and was delightfully surprised at the tastiness of the food! Frankly I expected another "burger place" and although they do serve hamburgers, Lesia has some seasoning tricks. The first surprise was the green beans that came with the hamburger plate. Green beans, yeah, most people add garlic and or bacon fat, but Miss Lesia has a family recipe that made those green beans really special. My husband kept trying to guess what was in them. Lesia would just hum and smile so I said, "she's not going to tell you!" That's OK, it's a special recipe. Then my nachos came. Again, a surprise! They were covered in WHITE cheese, with again, some special spices and ingredients. Delicious! We will be back!

This is the only restaurant in Agra. People have to drive 10+ miles otherwise just to get a bite to eat, and the fact that it’s closed half the time screws over it’s whole purpose for a LOT of people. It’s really sad that the majority of the time it’s closed because the owner simply doesn’t want to work.

The food was OK, but their hours of operation makes no since. They close a 2pm almost everyday. People that work night shift will never get a chance to even try this place because there closed so much. I don't know how a business can stay open while only being open 6 hours a day.

This place isn't clean. I had a metal shaving in my hamburger. Do not go here if you want to live.
