I will say though this place is a complete mess. You can’t even shop the isles, there is clutter everywhere. It’s awful. I understand short staffed and all that but at least move the big carts out of the isles this has been on the birthday isle for two weeks I know for sure.

Check your bags before you leave this store. It seems to be an trend of one item missing. It’ll be on the receipt and when you call shortly after about the missing item, it’s magically not there. It’s happened to myself and my mother too. Seems a bit fishy to me. I’m not playing this game anymore.This last incident was approximately at 11:30am on 01/12/24 in case management would like to look into it. Like either it’s being kept or returned for cash. I don’t know but it’s not okay and I won’t be back to this store.

This is OUR Monkey Island Dollar General and it's quite unfortunate. Two years living here and it never gets any better than this. Empty shelves...everywhere. Need bread and milk? Pray first. Need something from housewares? Beauty? Paper products? Good luck. Oh! They have them...but is the shelf empty? Probably. This store has seen a temporary shut down and multiple managerial changes. As far as I can tell, turnover on new employees is weekly. What's worse? ALL the other DG's know how bad this one is and feel bad for us. Can we get a Family Dollar instead?

Employees very rude. Store very cluttered but shelves are empty most of the time. Half the coolers don't work. Can't take dad in wheelchair in there bc can't get around. They have sale tags but won't honor even tho they either haven't took down or have on wrong items. I was charged wrong went back and was told I was being refunded when I returned item .never received money. Instead was charged again so I ended up paying $18 plus tax for one mop that was suppose to be $3. When u need refund bc they messed up there is no key holder there to help and cashier has no idea what to do.i heard employee cuss customer the other night and tell them to shop somewhere else. Customer was not in the wrong the cashier was.store needs new manager and employees that are trained.i have beenassistant manager at dollar general and this is not how a store should be run.store definitely needs some help. Problems keeping inventory. Staff is hard working and friendly. Shelves, freezer and refrigerator items sheldom fully or half stocked. Carts all over blocking isles and cleanliness dropping at this location. Appears to be a corporate isse on what they will spend to allow enough people and inventory to run effectively

This place is so trashy and merchandise is everywhere except the shelves. One would think a store closer to a larger community of visitors coming in to visit the lake would be nicer. The employees are overworked and very disgruntled which makes the shopping experience very unpleasant.

I was just at the dollar general in bernice oklahoma and used self checkout i scanned all my good items payed with food stamps and had a cash total of $6.02. It’s not much but I didn’t have anything cash the assistant manager paid for it she was unaware how to fix the issue at hand and it also happened to someone else before and the other employee paid for there I just wanna say they didn’t have to do that but they did and that means a lot bc I am really low on funds I didn’t even have it on me I truly appercite her kindness :) god bless these two gals

Lot of shelves were empty, merchandise was shuffled around and stacked on top of unlike items. Tall carts of boxes of merchandise were setting here and there in the aisles waiting to be stocked! Total disfunction! Obviously need more employees to keep up.

Honestly Crystal I think you should think about your words before you post a review or do your research. That employee is the most kind hearted woman and would give you the shirt off her back and was actually following standard protocol according to Dollar. Why would you expect a person trying to do her job and follow the rules to bend them so she could possibly be reprimanded and lose her job and her lively hood? I'm sure you understand considering your a working class citizen. Thank you

Cheapest place to stock up on the essentials (and non-essentials too). I think the name of the store and that reputation precedes this review, but my family has a lake house on the island and this is where we head when we realize we forgot to bring something.

I bought a $75 eBay card at Dollar General in Ketchum and before I got to my truck I lost it I think I dropped it in side I don't know but the girl working call the manager and even though it's a setting $5 gift card they gave me $25 torque credit towards another that way I can get merchandise I need it online and I'm still arguing with him about the other $50 but anyway they are awesome people they go out of their way to help their customers

I had my basket full of coupons to clip if I seen a good deal I would clip them. When checking out i had all my coupons ready and scanned everything was going fine until Carrie another cashier came up and was saying you can't use all thesa coupons I had to do separate transactions She called her manager continued to hassle me on are they copies where did I get them and why I had so many saying I'm being fraudulant. I had my red plums and pgs and my smartsource right there very evident they are real. She kept repeating fraud and copied it was very embarrassing. The line had grew but she was so intent to prove I was in the wrong I had 10 coupons on some and 5 on others I had 3 different items. Customers around. Me were telling her that I was in the right. I took my coupons and my business to another Dollar General and had no problems.

This dollar store lately has been irritating. walk in no baskets available. iventory racks sit in same place for days, blocking isles. they consistently run out of a particular item I shop for (order more duh). when asking about this particular item, and state that it's probably in the back, all I get is well if it is in back we haven't pulled it out yet, instead of I'll go look for you. I've even offered to buy it but the case if they would order it for me. been battling this for 6 months. where's the old fashioned customer service DOLLAR GENERAL ?

Guy at register was wearing a hoodie with his hood up and sun glasses on...I assume he was stoned. Employees stand outside of doors and smoke, store always looks like it's been looted
