The guy behind the counter was extremely rude I'm assuming that he's the owner, my grandma is deaf in one ear and he had to rudely repeat himself bc she could not hear him, all we wanted were 2 sucker fish that got 5 inches and 4 sucker fish that grew there while life, and he got disrespectful when she was explaining it to him which ones she wanted and she had repeatedly say what she wanted and STILL got it wrong, i never wanna go there again unless theres someone else working terrible service.

Cute little local business, they had a small selection of critters. But, what they did have looked to be in good condition, I was especially loving the rats and Betta fish unfortunately the rats were not pet quality so I didn't bring one home but I thank the man in the front who told me that I should look at the hamster and such instead. I loved the Betta fish and almost brought one of the mustard Betta fish which was absolutely gorgeous. Overall good store but a few of the Budgies looked rough (long nails and one had a scratch on its eye)

I was waiting for cameras to come out and someone be like, “HaHa! Got ya!” The guy at the counter was extremely rude. Until today I didn’t know it was possible to be so rude while asking, “Can I help you?” I responded that I wasn’t looking for anything specific, then asked if they had fish. Without even raising his head he cut his eyes up at me and pointed toward the back. I eventually realized it wasn’t the back he was pointing at it was the few aquariums next to the desk. Saw a little aquarium decoration that a couple weeks ago I purchased two of at a different place and have been thinking about going back to get another one (not purchased at a discount price, purchased full price at a chain store and paid $20 each for), it had a sticker on it that said 6260 on the front. I didn’t think much of it, sticker for inventory purposes or something who knows? I asked how much it was and was immediately snapped at rudely, “It has a price on it! I don’t remember!” I said, “$62.20?” He snapped again, “Well if that’s what it says!” I will pay a few dollars extra to do business with a small locally owned business but that was insane especially with him acting like you weren’t even wanted in the store to begin with! I did find two antique aquarium bubbler accessories in original packaging with what appeared to be original price tag stickers on them which is what he charged for them. So it wasn’t a completely wasted trip but definitely wouldn’t go back. Looked at a couple dog leashes that were actually rotted. I’m not sure how he’s even open! Was an interesting experience for sure. It’s a shame because I normally love the little family owned shops like that and it could have so much potential!

I have an extreme knowledge about pets. I've been breeding reptiles and fish for a long time. This place is clean. UV is provided to those that need it, and the right humidity levels are being maintained for the species seen today. On this good friday holiday, The Man behind the front desk was extremely disinterested in us. He didn't really look like he wanted to be there and he was not very interested in our questions. It was really off putting and doesn't make me want to go back despite how good the animals are being kept.

Very disappointed with the cleanliness of this place, fish have rotting fins, bacterial infections, and ich. Kittens kept in a small hamster cage with no litter box, they looked far to young to be selling. Reptiles in disgusting, uncleaned cages, like months of fecal matter buildup. Birds where in far to small of cages and didn't look well cared for. Looked in the bins where geckos are usually held, hadn't been cleaned in months, probably had dead animals in it, but I was so utterly disgusted I didn't check. Definitely should be shut down for animal abuse. Prices on these sick animals are also outrageous. Around $160 for a bearded dragon that isn't a normal morph. I got my big boy for only $50 healthy as a whistle from a wonderful store out of town. Please don't support this abuse, owner should be held responsible for this place and the pets held here in unhealthy and abusive conditions.

I went in there today while visiting Ada and was appalled by how horrible the animals in this store were cared for. The owner doesn’t even bother to separate the animals so there’s over a dozen mice and their tiny babies crammed in 10gal tanks. I bought two gerbils from there a couple years ago and they must have been male and female because they had babies too. There was a baby bearded dragon that was missing its front left foot and had warts or something all over his poor little body. There were two chameleons and one chameleon that didn’t have any lighting or misting system (which they need!!!) At least the other one had lights. There was a hermit crab laying in its tank which barely had any sand and was either dead or it outgrew the shells and an adequate one was not provided. The birds and guinea pigs didn’t look terrible so lucky them, for now. Fish seemed decent as well. I just can’t understand how this place is still open.

RUDE! not only was the selection less than impressive, but the owner was rude and hate to me and my daughter! Walked out because I can not allow a grown man speak to my child the way he did. Will NEVER go back!

For an animal house. It's always SO CLEAN! we absolutely love having the ability to acquire a "not so normal" pet when we want. Honestly I think my most favorite part is the snakes and stuff you can't buy, having the culture here on main is something we as Adans are lacking and need to get back to before we lose out beloved mainstreet

Went here to purchase fish for my brand new aquarium for my 5 year old.Let's just start with the grouchy man had poor customer service to say the least and to top it off the fish I got from here are showing signs of ich. Thanks for giving me a parasite in a tank I just set up and for wasting my money. Never will I ever purchase fish or any other animal from this store.

Great care for Dutchess . my sweet cat was bleeding from mouth. Didn't have a appointment and they got us right in. Very good care. Very affordable. Great vet care and great people at checkout..very clean.

Nice place with a decent selection. Daughter got handy with the bearded dragons and guy didn't make too much of a scene. Feeder rats are decent priced.

Bought a rabbit from there took it home found black little bugs all over her took her to get spayed come to find out that it was a boy when I was told that it was a female. Ended up spending $50 at the vet just to find out what gender my rabbit was :-(

The guy who sold me my pet was very unhelpful. Literally ignored me several times when asking what kind of food hes currently feeding the bird etc. Just not very friendly or pleasant and very disinterested in the new hime of the pets
