I have to say that the woman who owns this business is extremely flexible. I have brought my pooch in quite a few times and she has always worked with him so well. She has had to move a few things around in order to fit him in on short notice and I appreciated it so much! Normally he is not a fan of getting his hair cut but I haven’t had any issues with that bringing him here. Gizmo approves!

Shalene and her staff have always taken wonderful care of my baby girl Luka. We have been going to Pups and Pals for years! I moved to Columbus 5 years ago and we still make the drive to Muskingum county to have Lukas grooming done here! They’ve always treated my baby like their own and she remembers my baby everytime we call to schedule an appointment! I can’t recommend Shalene and her care enough!

My mother took my puppy along with her two pups yesterday and to say the least I am so pleased! Usually I just bathe him and trim nails at home because we took him to a groomers once and when I picked him up he was terrified, shivering and wouldn't leave my side for hours. He came home yesterday happy, smelling and looking good and I am so thankful they did such a wonderful job with him and my moms two pups!

I should have known I was in trouble when the my husband called to set up the appointment. They asked him what he wanted done. He told them a full groom with a standard Shih Tzu cut. They then informed him that they don't do standard cuts. Only custom. I was pretty impressed to think they were going to give him a special cut to suite his face/body. Unfortunately, it actually meant they don't know how to give him a standard Shih Tzu cut and the custom cut they gave him was the worst I've ever seen!! They hacked his face and head up. Uneven hair, poking up everywhere. I won't go back.

I recommend this place to anyone who needs their pet done. She done my cat and she looks amazing and to even give her a bath without her ever having one must have taken everyone in the building to do!I’m calling to have my baby girl done in the am!

This is cocoa. She was caught as a kitten feral and she was a spitter. First time I brought her to the shop to be shaved she could not be caught because as nice as she is and seems when not feeling threatened she still seems on the feral side. The second time I took her here to pups and pals I had to stay with her to make her feel more comfortable that I was there and not giving her to some shelter which is probably what she thought the first time. Things went much better while I was there I held her as one of the workers Judy shaved she was still very squirming. The cut did not come out perfect which I as the owner was perfectly fine with and was more focused on the fact her coat would not be as dirty. She’s still very cute and the cut still looks very good. We had shaved of a lot of her fur. And I’m am highly satisfied with pups and pals business each time I got there because I also take my dogs there to get their nails trimmed. They are also very knowledgeable on tips for animals also.

This is a wonderful place with the most caring and experienced staff! Excellent services at amazing prices that just can't be beat! They truly go above and beyond every time with every client being treated as if they were their own fur babies ❣️When I adopted my two BIG boys from the animal shelter years ago, they had trust issues to say the least 😔 often myself being the only one who could touch or brush them. Being large breed dogs, they could be a stubborn handful at bathtimes. But this presented no issue for this super staff, and when I picked my big babies up their tails were wagging while looking just absolutely adorable in their little bandanas! 😍 which they handmade by the way! I highly recommend pups and pals to all loving pet parents, there's just nowhere like it!

So I have 3 dogs 2 of which are pits, well 2 of them hate to have their nails cut and they do an amazing job and her complete concern was for the dogs comfort, I even offered to muzzle the 2 because they are not really people friendly and her response was..... Let's see how it goes first ❤️. She did amazing and my boys did not need muzzled, I would definitely recommend going here

I have two very anxious boys who don’t do well away from our family and one of the first times we went to Pups and Pals she called me and said she couldn’t groom one of them that day because he was too anxious and it wasn’t safe for him! She wouldn’t accept any money. I have so much respect for her for thinking of my boys safety before her business. Recently my wife is experiencing a multitude of health problems and I contacted pups and pals to on very short notice to see if I could board my boys while I went out of town with my wife. Of course she said yes and even went above and beyond to tell me that if I should find myself in an emergent situation she will do what she can to help with my fur babies. You cannot ask for anything better! She goes above and beyond for her customers. Her grooming is top notch my babies always look great!

We brought our pomsky here to be groomed, and we asked for her to get a sanitary trim and a blowout. The woman who groomed her is hard of hearing and thought we wanted her to be shaved, so I was heartbroken when my baby came out nearly bald. Pomskies have a double coat and should never be shaved, so I feel she should have asked for clarification. But when my husband called and spoke with another woman there, she was extremely gracious and apologetic, she understood completely why we were upset and seemed very knowledgeable about double coats and kindly offered advice and issued a full refund. The only reason I'm leaving a review is for other pet owners to advise them to make it very clear to your groomer exactly what you want done. I harbor no ill will. 💙

I adore this business!! She is the absolute best With my Baby Maddie !! I don’t even live in the same town but I’m happy to make the drive to have Baby Maddie’s hair and nails done. Super affordable and very knowledgeable. Kind and compassionate. Remember donate bedding and things of that nature for the rescues that she has.

Linda was our groomer. Very pleasant person. We didnt go in due to the pandemic. Transactions were made through the door which was fine considering. Building is dated but we go there for the service. I've been to nicer buildings but had bad grooming services with higher fees. We prefer great service before great buildings anytime. Prices for services are more than reasonable. For my furbaby, cost me only $15, includes flea bath, nails trimmed and full grooming! Incredible, so I tipped $5 of course! Be kind and thoughtful...tip your groomer always!!! Open for services 7 days a week! Call ahead for appointments of course. Most definitely bringing our other fur babies here! Highly recommend you to bring your lovely fur babies here as well. We've been taking our dogs here for years. We can always get an appointment in a timely manner and the dogs come out looking gorgeous. They make sure to take extra care with our blind dog and they can even corral our hyper puppy. Highly recommend these ladies for your dogs grooming.

My Pups loved this place, and they always came home all worn out and super happy.This is the best place, bar none, in Zanesville area.The lady who runs this place is an animal lover and has been watching my dogs for almost 10 years.I have not had a single bad experience, Shealeen(spelling?) is always delivering outstanding customer service, friendly care for the pets, and a smile when you walk in the door.I will be using this service as long as I have pups and live in the area.

Hello!There have been some questions recently about my facility so I thought I’d post below:•I’m tentatively open daily from 9-5. I do however close down for lunch breaks (and also to work with my rescues!) it’s best to call first. If you need an earlier or later time? Reach out and we can probably make something work. This is a tiny family owned business, so there may be times I’m closed during business hours if life happens!•I’m gearing my boarding space more towards animal rescue efforts. Because of this, we are no longer accepting •new• clients for daycare or boarding. If you need a recommendation, I have two in the area who I highly recommend, just call or text me. 😄•The absolute most that I charge for any grooming service that I offer is $45. So if you have a giant Clifford sized dog you’re wanting shaved? That’s your worst case scenario.
