Unfortunately three stars is the best I can give this place considering I lived in this neighborhood for a long time I'm really pleased to say they are a small Staple in the neighborhood community people do need this store there and they do need help finding something affordable just wish the store would provide better quality Goods however located directly in the middle of the hood they sure do have a decent liquor selection LOL

Grateful to have a neighborhood food store that I can always count on for Fresh meats, Fresh fruits & veggies, and clean isles, friendly staff. All around five stars for sure!!!!!

We have been here a couple of times and it's been fine. This time we went and there was a young man working in the front and when we asked him for baby formula he didn't even go check, he just said there wasn't any. We've been here several times for formula since our son is on a special kind and it is always in. It would have been nice if he would have looked but he really made it clear he didn't have the time for us.

This is definitely the best save a lot around here. Nice and clean,and an amazing staff. Great meats, veggies. Very affordable

By far the worst save a lot in the area. Disgusting, overpriced meat. This store is a disgrace, ripping off its customers every day. If you care about your community at all you would close your doors tomorrow.

Staff is great. Selection of brand name products is pretty limited.I watched the manager go out of his way to help an elderly woman with a request from the meat department. He bent over backwards and even stayed friendly when she mentioned that she didn't have a cart... LoL. "Here's 15 pounds of beef". He did everything except eat it for her.It's a great store in an area that really needs it.My only complaint would be the clientele... But they can't control that.South side of Youngstown, you pretty much know what to expect.

I absolutely love this store! Won't shop anywhere else. The produce is always full and fresh and if you ever need help ask for Jill she is always full of life and always has the nicest things to say. If your looking for fresh meat their meat counter is always full of great deals and good product the meat staff is always helpful. Stop by and say hi to Alisha she is adorable and always has a great personality. Don't forget to check out the remodel makes the store look higher class yet still such amazing prices.

They have decent prices for the most part. The only complaints is that some of the meats are bad so look carefully and they don't have enough brand name items.

The store was rearranged and very clean. The produce was stocked and fresh . The meat was also well stocked and fresh by dates on pkgs and the prices were great and for Save A Lot the selection was impressive. The employee s were very friendly today. Also kind and helpful when O asked where bread crumbs were he walked me to them. My only thing that concerns me is that particular store never hardly is busy but today freshness wasn't a concern. My chicken was bagged with my lettuce but my cashier was young and Rome wasn't built in a day. She'll learn. I'll remind her not to do it that way next time I see her there. I would call but she may get in trouble n not learn to keep them separate.

The store was neat inside. The shelves were stocked well. There were quite a few missing price labels. The sales associates were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my time there. My only complaint is the parking lot. It had trash and does not appear well keep or inviting.

Love this store! Wide variety of food and household products at reasonable prices. I had gone there that day to pick up some meat to restock my freezer. And I was not disappointed in their meat selection!

If you get a gift certificate and even though it says any Youngstown store the store on South ave wont honor it they waited to tell me no after my stuff was bagged. The young kid acted like he didn't want to do paperwork on it cuz he was quick to tell me no. He said it has to say South Ave on it and not any Youngstown store.

Not a horrible store. Not as good as some other save a lots but the people are friendly and they are getting a better selection every day.*Edit for the owner*Your supplied email does not work so I am replying here with some suggestions.***Hello, thanks for responding to my rating on Google maps.I think your save-alot store is great, I shop there exclusively and I probably spend about $2,000 a month in both cash and stamps in your store.First, I would just like to say that the store looks great after the renovations, and I've noticed that your selection has gotten better recently in carrying some name brand items items, i.e. Philadelphia cream cheese etc.The only real issues I have with the store is some basic things were lacking for example: the store didn't have basic baking stuff like unsweetened coco or yeast until very recently and I see you have got that covered.Secondly, the carts! I hate those shopping carts so much! I understand you save money by not having to pay someone to gather carts but it's incerdibly annoying to have to break a bill to get a cart or if I have no change on me.I've actually left the store and went to sparkle down the street because I didn't have a quarter to get a cart and it's impossible to handle $300 in groceries without a cart.The staff are usually pretty cool if I don't have change but sometimes, depending on who is there or if the store is busy there is no extra carts.At very least, I would suggest some carrying baskets or something.Other than the carts, improved selection would be appreciated.I also appreciate the security guard(s). It's nice to see them there.Thanks!

Does not carry no where near as much as they use too. They really do not have a lot of variety in the store at all. The only real nice one I have been to is the one in Boardman by the Post Office. That one is a real nice. Still not allot of variety though. It's a good place to get cereal, canned goods and frozen foods.

I go here bc it's convenient I would rather go to other locations only bc I feel like the other locations have more to choose from when it comes to items in stock or new items ide say this save a lot is the last to get and service could be more friendlier ✌️

Great store to find value branded foods. This has to be the cleanest Save A Lot I have ever been to.

Clean and friendly. Most products are resonably priced and easy to find. However, there is little variety if any when it comes to brands. Also, not many "specialty" items such as blue raspberry jello. Cultural foods other than Hispanic are scarce too. Don't buy bread here. You can get it cheaper at any other grocery store and they don't price match.

Majority of the staff are friendly and helpful. But at the registers it's only one, no more than cashiers that's opened. The fresh produce section pickings are slim. The prices are reasonable.

The Save A Lot in Youngstown is stocked to the hilt. They had all types of greens. Beef ribs, etc. I am done with Warren and Niles Save A Lots..

Omg! Long slow line, only one open, don't be in a hurry when u go there, finally another cashier opens, the store was well stocked though, the cashier was very friendly.

Stood at the bakery counter. Where two women were speak to each, walked past me without acknowledging me. While another young lady was on the phone, also ignored my presence. I went to the prepared food department. I rang the bell for service when I returned to the bakery, one of the young women in the back, walked by and looked at me and kept walking. young lady on phone still did not acknowledge me. She seemed to have an attitude because I rang the bell, and still took a minute to finally acknowledging me. When she finally did come to help me, she wasn't paying attention to what I was asking for. IGA is my go-to for birthday cakes. I don't usually have issues. I hope this just happened to be "one of those days"

My visit to Save Alot was a good one but it was a cold one but I made it there and back. Got what I needed but bouillon cubes cause they didn't have any but that's ok but all in all it was a safe trip up and back.

It was basic dont seem as well setup as t stocked like the other ones it was smaller than most next time I will just travel a little more to a bigger location
