Today I needed assistance regarding an item I purchased outside of my area (I’m in SC, item in OH). Julie was incredibly helpful and kind over the phone. She assisted me in getting a refund as a courtesy as well as helping with another item transfer issue that I had questions regarding. I’ve called needing assistance a few times over the past months and everyone is helpful. However I truly feel that Julie went above and beyond helping me today. Thank you so much Julie!!

My husband and I are frequent buyers from this location and we always have a positive experience while there. The staff is hard working, friendly and more than willing to help if you ask. The layout is very easy to navigate. Parking lot is large and easy for loading your product. Great place with great deals if you know when to stop bidding!

Everything has been very up front. I'm new and everyone is so nice, helpful and easy to communicate with. People at the distribution sites and online are responsive. Customers have to be careful to research and look carefully to make sure that we aren't caught off guard by conditions or contents. I've gotten great deals and I've spent a lot of money. Even after the bid, commission, lot fee and tax, I've still spent less than buying new items. So far all but 2 things have been as expected. I will take back an item tomorrow and see how that goes.I really appreciate the employees in person and online being more than just a processing hub that I can't contact.

This was my first time driving to the Boardman location, I usually go to the Akron location. Everyone was so nice and helpful, very big warehouse. It was a nice scenic drive with my girls.

First time can be slightly intimidating because there are so many people coming and going with their deals! The staff makes everything great and helps in every way. It’s not like walking into a big box store where you can search for an elusive employee to help direct to a particular product. Nope, employees are everywhere at MacBid.The process is simple and getting in and out is a flash 99.9% of the time. Still never stood in line for longer than a couple of minutes - the checkout peeps really have their s#it together.Lastly, pay attention to the product description and look at the pics carefully. If ever a doubt, inspect it prior or take out the insurance. Then you’ll have all the confidence you need.One other thing I found out was “Open Box” can mean used. Keep that in mind for items like trash cans and items people would try and send back for some reason. Again, inspect prior if in doubt.Happy dealing….

I would like to add to my 5 star review to say that when I went in I was given a friendly greeting, while searching was asked if I needed help, got friendly answers when I later asked for help and multiple employees stopped to help me load heavy items on my cart without me asking for help. Then in the parking lot an employee ran over to my van to assist me loading and took my cart back. Everyone was friendly and helpful and I truly appreciated it.

Used to be a pretty decent place to find some good deals, but between people bidding past retail and with the increase in business size of course the other customers suffer. Also, it never bothered me before, but 80 percent of items I have gotten from there are broken in some way or another, sometimes fixable. However, with the amount of fees charged most times it's not even worth it. Yes you can get "protection" but that money is non refundable even if the item is broken beyond repair and not listed as damaged. The fees don't sound like much until you see 36 dollars worth of winning items (without the extra 7 dollars in protection per item) still came to a grand total of 50 dollars! A $420 win totaled $520. Crazy!

The worst mac location I've been to. Very disorganized and understaffed. Today was the final straw. Got shooed away by multiple employees when I needed help and then got home to inspect my items only to find that one item had the complete wrong thing in the box. Felt scammed and like they false advertised with the pictures and description. The laziness of this business is showing! Why is Warren so much more professional and organized? Why is the membership 30 dollars for no advantages such as picking my items before arrival? Sloppy and I will be reporting the false advertisement situation to BBB to prevent this from being normalized.

I like to use the search and pick-up location features on M@C Discount to find products that I am in the market for. Then I use the Research Product Online link to direct me to detailed information about the item. But, I’ve also gone to the pick up location to inspect items before bidding. For pallets, I rely on the detailed description list. The Turbo Clock Auctions are an exciting way to bid on items. So far, I’ve benefited from savings on items that I’ve purchased for my kitchen, living room, toy room, bedroom, garage and garden.

Several times items are not as described and they sell mostly junk. Bought a rug. Pictured rug was not received. Bought a comforter and got a bed cover for those who wet to bed. Bought bath towels got a pack of literal bath mats. Said right on the bag tha they didn’t include in the pictures. A grill that was so badly burnt it’s better off in a junk yard. Don’t waist your time people. 5 out of 5 times I’ve had a bad experience so far.

I love this place, go to the Warren and Boardman locations. Remodeling got a marble top bathroom sink, vanity and much other furniture and stuff. Everything is priced very well and saved some money. Warren is my favorite, everyone is especially friendly and helpful. Highly recommend you check it out !

I have been a customer of Macbid since May of 2022. The warehouse allows for inspection of products before you bid. They are open box items so sometimes they are fine and others they are not. You also have the option of getting assurance on most items. You can research the products online from the link they provide you . Most of the time it’s the exact item. This way you have an idea of how high to bid in order for it to be a deal. I have saved money in the long run for myself and have given gifts to others as well. They are fair about returns if the item is incorrect in the description from the item you received they will refund you even if you didn’t buy the assurance. The staff in boardman are great!

i’ve gone to the boardman location several times and every time has been in and out easily finding everything. however i went last week to pick up a countertop and had asked an employee for help loading it and they told me to go somewhere else for help, and mind you the countertop was marble so it was quite heavy so i had to lift it myself because an employee wouldn’t take three seconds out of what they were doing to help me.

BUYER BEWARE!!! You may order a pallet worth $100 for 175 items and only receive 35 of those items listed. And if you try to get in touch with someone over phone OR in person, they will deny helping you or offer to make things right somehow. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN if they rip you off!!! Well... if you want to compare Boardman and Warren locations...Boardman's parking is Horrendous! Don't go pick up when it's busy with a trailer because you can't get in there. Also, I've noticed it's much harder to get help in Boardman, so as long as you know the layout, you will be getting your own stuff. I've noticed that sofas i have bought are listed incorrectly, listed as longer more expensive sofas but in reality they are actually the smaller loveseats, this has happened to me four times that i can think of. But otherwise, it is a good experience. As long as you realize what you are buying are returns and could be missing bolts, parts, or damaged, but just get the insurance, and you will be covered if there's a problem. Sometimes items are like new!! It's fun buying, and I do love M@C!

I was suspended due to me being confused as to why I was charged for a bid I assumed I lost. Something must’ve happened with the app because I watched the auctions close out and didn’t win anything. Long story short I apparently did win and was charged with a late fee as well. I contacted CS because how can you charge me for a bid I didn’t win and why was I never notified that I in fact did win. I was in the app several times after it closed watching other items. Not once did I see I actually won. So something seriously went on with the app. However because I said it seems like they committed fraud and I was gonna contact attorney general because you can’t scam customers I was suspended indefinitely. However I then get this which confirms in the first place something happened with the app because I wasn’t notified that I won

I have now visited 4 of Mac Discounts facilities. This one by far is the cleanest with the best organization. Check in and check out locations are well marked. Isles and slots are well marked. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Beware! These people are straight up crooks they sell you damaged and destroyed garbage and like to identify it as open box. If you like throwing away your money buying things that have to go straight into the trash then this is the place for you.Please don’t waste your time copy and pasting your disclaimer. Your management is rude and doesn’t care. If you leave ( because it’s dark outside and you want to be able to really see what you bought ) they definitly won’t take an item back because according to them EVERYONE is dishonest and either breaks it or switches it out. Take a look in the mirror!

Parking is a little confusing... It kinda looks like you are going into a door out front where you pull in, but the doors are around back... Nice people working there. Clean lot and basically clean and well labeled isles inside.

Love this place, just be aware some items are damaged and they do a good job stating that, you need to read everything on the description, and open box means just that: it is open box. Could be missing pieces, used or damaged. You are also able to take insurance out on such occurances. I have never done that and never had an issue, but I do know other who have. I do not buy many appliances/ electronics/ more expensive items; if I did, I would.Very clean and friendly helpful staff.

I love Warren, Beaver Falls and Akron locations. No hassle amd friendly staff. This location has a poorly staffed back area, where you have to wait several minutes in a limb line for someone to hunt down item. It’s worth it to pay the $5 to transfer to another location. This is my last trip to Boardman.
