This place is so great! His selection was very impressive & he was very knowledgeable about the records he had in the store. I could have spent my entire bank account in there!!! He also has a cute little kitten in there right now!!!

Toxic Beauty is a hidden gem and always a must when we are in Yellow Springs. It’s well-curated and we always find something great. My son is autistic and sometimes wants something rare or off-the-wall. Josh, the owner, always tracks it down and orders it in for him. He also goes out of his way to chat with my son and make him feel cool. I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful spot nearby for records. I recommend it to friends all the time.

Great find. I was looking for some records that came out on record day. Stumbled across Toxic Beauty and they had what I was looking for. Quick and professional had my records shipped out the next day. Showed up boxed up tight with bubble wrap protecting the goods. Thanks guys appreciate the tunes!!

Small, well organized store, priced fairly. Interesting and varied selection. Good job of keeping customer capacity level safe. I bought a cool stack from the "12" Singles" Section. Weird thing happened though, when I brought my stack up to the register. There were two singles missing price stickers that I wanted to buy and the guy running the shop didn't just get online and quote me a price. He simply said he wouldn't sell them to me because he hadn't priced them yet.

the owner was extremely rude and needlessly aggressive towards my friend who had a very simple question for him. after searching the collection for a while and being unable to find the specific record they were looking for, my friend went to ask him if he knew where they might be able to find it. the owner responded to this by becoming extremely bitter and telling my friend that they had been rude to him for implying that they would be willing to take their business/money to another record shop. as someone who works in sales myself this was, quite frankly, an insane move. I have no idea what good he thought could come of this interaction, but we certainly won’t be giving him our money now, or returning to this shop ever. the dude also didn’t greet us or ask us if we needed help at any point when we were looking around before my friend approached him.

Initially lost on where the actual store was, there's not much signage. It is upstairs above a jewelry store. The store was clean and organized, but it is incredibly tight inside. The records I picked up were priced higher than I could have gotten from the distributor directly, but that's business. Otherwise, I would come here regularly.

We visit this shop whenever we are in the area! It's a small upstairs space with wooden stair walk up that is nostalgic of 90s childhood homes.Things are compact, organized, and succinct but chill.I can't remember the owner's/worker's name, but they are really cool and seem to always be playing good music.

Small but great record shop! After not finding what I was hoping to find, I asked the owner if he had any albums from two specific artists, he went into another room and came back with one of each! Affordable prices, great ownership, and very covid friendly :)

Josh (I'm pretty sure he is actually the owner) was a huge help the other day. He was happy to order the things I was looking for that weren't in stock. Also, he is extremely fair and honest. For a few of the items I wanted, he indicated I should buy them used. The quality wouldn't be any better on new. Others he suggested I purchase new and helped me understand how to know and recognize that it came from a reputable source that insures the quality. It's refreshing to have someone who is honest and helpful, wanting the customer to be as happy as his wallet, not one more than the other. That is rare these days!

Josh is mindful, knowledgeable, and has built up a great shop that is my go-to stop in Yellow Springs whenever I'm around. I'm only back in town once or twice a year and he always remembers me. Great place to find new and old records, puts on events for Record Store Day and occasional giveaways for Dayton/Columbus area concerts. A true hometown record store experience.

Hands down the best vinyl record store in Ohio. I drive an hour to shop here, and the service is always top notch. If they don't have it, just ask, they can order it! Their sister company vinylgram.com has a great online store if you need anything shipped across the country too. A must to stop in when in Yellow Springs!

Ordered a record for RSD, and got confirmation shortly. They did a great job with the timely release, and a lot of checkout options, even paypal.Very easy to work with, and didn't even realize they are in Ohio! Can't wait to stop by the shop sometime. 5 stars!

Beware… Must Mask up and glove up and get hands sprayed by owner before Entry!Tiny Room on second floor about the size of a Bathroom. No room to search through 45’s that are located in small boxes lower shelf. Did not find this Record Store appealing in anyway.Would not recommend or go back. Did not have any Friendly Experience. No real Inventory.

The owner Josh is a really great guy and will go out of his way to help you find the music or equipment your looming for. Amazing record shop and if you like and miss the feel and the conversations and the sharing of the love for music you can't beat this place. I can't say enough good things about this Record store. If he doesn't have it he will order it for you and personally call you when it arrives for you to pick up. You should definitly check Toxic Beauty out and all that yellow springs has to offer great town and really beautiful people!!

Stopped in while bike touring, great little shop, very friendly, solid selection. Picked up some Canned Heat, and he shipped it out that afternoon! Cheap too! Couple days after I got home it arrived, never had to worry about biking with it! Packed very well between a couple old Herb Alpert and a Seals and Crofts covers haha next time I roll through, it's a definite destination.

A smaller shop above a jewelry store, Toxic Beauty has a great selection, the most helpful and knowledgeable staff, and a great atmosphere. New and used vinyl is always coming in and if you are looking for something in particular, Josh will find it for you. Prices are great - most of the time they are cheaper than Amazon and keep in line with used marketplaces like Discogs.

Very informative on vinyl records. I took some old records there and i really had no idea how much they were worth. Gave me a great deal of information and good amount of cash for some of them. If your into vinyl records go to this place.

me and a friend were just in looking at albums while we had one in our hand getting ready to buy, at the last second we decided not to buy it and before walking out of the door, we set it down. the owner accused us of stealing, and called us jackasses!! totally taken back as it was our first time in the town, and we had planned to stay the whole day. We left right after that. do not recommend visiting this town or this store. awful people, and customer service.

Toxic Beauty has a great selection of used and very fresh vinyl amongst posters and such. The owner is super friendly and helpful. If you're near Yellow Springs I highly recommend a stop here.

This is in response to toxic beauty If not only are you a poor businessman you are a pathological liar the only people in your shop today was a gentleman You saw 3 cute girls trying to come in to your record store and and at that point that's all you seem to care about was the 3 young cute girls we all know what was on your mind today If the way you look at those girls you should be locked up and thrown in jail If there was no pregnant woman within sight of us in your store We will not be using any of your services ever And I will tell everyone I know that goes to that town not to shop at your store especially if they have younger girls

I travel to Urbana at least three to four times a month and on my way from Cincinnati I always stop by Toxic Beauty .It is a small and intimate shop that surprisingly has a great used record selection .I always find something ...you just have to look in the right places !The staff are always really chill and down to earth .If you are swing through yellow springs you should stop by , or don’t and leave those gems for me !
