The woman who owns this shop is extremely rude and disrespectful, every time I'm in the shop I hear her yelling at people on the phone and I heard her tell a customer to "f-ck off" last week when I was in there. She also rushed me out when I was only in the shop for 10 minutes. I doubt I'll ever support this business or buy anything here seeing as they clearly don't respect their customers or anyone else. No sense is driving people away when you have such steep competition in the area.

Just came from 25 minutes away at 10:30 am and the doors are locked but says they open at 10. I have liked the store in the past but that was disappointing, I’ll have to go to another store today. But will come back sometime in the future.

I always check the website for hours before I visit. Closes at 6 pm. I arrive at 5:24. Closed. (The front door is so covered in rubbish I couldn’t make out any closing message.) You know a place is low rent when they insist on having a website they don’t know how to update.

I've read previous reviews but I live very close to this Import House and I love it! There was one chick who worked there that was kinda rude, but eh, didn't phase me. But the guys that worked there were great. Always answered my questions, even showed me how to use certain products, or recommended their own favorites. I come here every time I'm in town. And the pricing is fair compared to what I've seen. This place is awesome, always smelling good, and always friendly. :)

Best head shop around. A great selection featuring a great many pieces by independent artists. The staff is friendly and fairly knowledge. Parking isn't too bad given its location. Overall this is definitely someplace I stop every time I pass through Yellow Springs.

Came to Yellow Springs for my 50th birthday weekend. Went to Import House & it brought back lots of memories from a time when there was one here in Columbus. I loved everything & all the staff was warm & welcoming! I can't wait to go back!

It's not the same anymore, time caught up even in Yellow springs. I wish I could show my son what it was like back in the day at least Phil Man's is still holding on and they sell whipped cream chargers still too. I miss the huge display cases clear full of every gadget and do dab (get it) you can imagine and then a tiny room with a few old tee shirts and a bag sewn with old corduroy pants, now the good stuff is in the back and they have insane $400 glass art that I seriously doubt sells and the whole front of the store is incense and corduroy bags and other hipster garb. I got my first High Times Magazine there thirty some years ago.

Such great service and a very casual atmosphere. I got two beautiful glass pieces from this place and they're gorgeous! And also work well. It's a definite stop at Yellow Springs if you smoke. It also has a variety of incense to choose from.

Visiting the shop with friends we strolled to the elevated pipe section, super nice glass pieces, locally sourced it's been told... but the staff treated us like we were criminals that needed to be closely watched at the staff's own specific burden, or so it felt. Heavy sighs and perturbed faces, supplemented by cold stares, greeted our browsing experience. We asked nothing of them, and felt like we couldn't if we wanted to, and was made to feel like our patronage was not appreciated. I guess we should have bought some of their colorful scarves or hippie trinkets, but we were there for a spectacular selection of glass pieces, as told in fable and song about this establishment. But, It was a bad vibe, and weird treatment. They made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome... we literally drove and hour to go to this store, heard good things, but I can't see myself ever stepping foot in there again, nor will my friends.... conversely, the Smoking Octopus shop down the way was rad, helpful, the owners and employees of The Import House could take a lesson... So sorry we bothered you.

The Import House and its employees are awesome! They definitely have one of the best selections that I have seen anywhere around the Springfield area. I needed some specific advice and the lady working that day was so helpful ad friendly. I highly recommend this shop!

The workers were extremely rude to me. They didn’t help me with anything I asked about and the prices were ridiculous. You can get the same stuff from any other smoke shop around, but actually get your questions answered. Will never be returning to this store again.

The products, the prices, the atmosphere, the team...I fell deeper in love with this place the further I went in. Im hooked, I doubt I'll ever stop coming here. Just wonderful wonderful people and everything I need and a ton of real knowledge. They really know their stuff! I live over an hour away and I will come here time and time again, any chance I get.I read some other people's reviews and edited mine according to my experience...They were having issues with the credit equipment supply company and even though 1 lovely lady was occupied they BOTH took time to be cordial...I mean, have you ever been on the phone with a business, reapeating your issue for the 14th time while still attending questions from customers without getting short? Her reserve was admirable. And she still greeted me when I came in, apologized (unnecessarily) if she thought her voice crossed my experience, and genuinely wished me a happy day upon my exit. Meanwhile her tag team partner handled me with my thousand questions HAPPILY and helped several others that came in and out during my 40 something minute visit, browsing and poking at nearly every genre of merch. Not once did I feel unwelcome, in fact I would have bet money they'd welcome any shoppers not walking in like they are owed liberties. Good head shops MUST protect their ability to sell goods. This includes age appropriate browsing, ID for credit (technically everyone is supposed to ask) and practicing Covid safety by not letting you touch things that might end up in somebody else's mouth. Be realistic when you people post these ridiculous negative reviews about a business acting professional. It's a head shop, not your buddy's garage. I love their selection and knowledgeableness; altho i personally find some of the staff to be rude to other customers. I've witnessed them making funny faces & mocking them behind their backs but if they were rude to my face (or as soon as i turned around) I'd probably only give it four stars but since they were nice to me and i honestly thought it was hilarious i'm giving it five out of five and recommending that lady give standup comedy a shot Lol :D

Staff was rude, didn't say anything to us when we walked in, didn't even get a smile only thing that was said to us was to get our IDs out as soon as we entered the back of the store. I've been there a hand full of times & it's the same experience every time, I've heard the same from several other people that have been there too. The staff was also talking about cruel, disgusting things while ignoring us. I was so uncomfortable & will not return. In any job you should know what NOT to talk about when customers are in the store. VERY disappointed.

Ive always had a great experience at the import house. Ive been going there as long as I can remember. If you dont visit the import house while in the majestic village of yellow springs then you didn't get the full experience that is YS. Just sayin.

Great service. As soon as I was through the door the woman working very politely asked if there was anything she could help me with. Unfortunately, they didn't have exactly what I was looking for, but she kindly offered other locations in the area that might carry the item and gave me directions to the other locations. I am definitely willing to go there again.

Most of the people are nice there is one rude employee. They do carry some Fair trade Items. When you buy a $22 sun catcher (hand made) and find out your friends bought the same thing on wish for $3 made in China. Thats just not right. If I wanted made in China I would have Ordered it off the internet.

Just left there with my family. My 17 year old was not old enough to look at the "adult section," so he was asked to not poke his head into that area. He asked why and was given a speech about felony charges and was told he was lucky he wasn't asked to leave the store. I said okay, he went into the other portion of the store, and the gentleman followed him out and said that now he had to leave because he asked him "5 times," (he didn't.) After telling my family about how nice Yellow Springs is, I had to escort everyone out of this place because of one guy being a dick. 1. If you want to have an adult section, don't put bumper stickers, hacky sacks, and posters in it. 2. If you don't want minors looking into the adult section of a general store, out up a curtain like every other head shop. Or just make it a head shop and not a hippie friendly store. There's a difference in being a responsible store employee and a total dick.

Staff is always nice. 7 pm is to early to close. Lazy hippies need to stay till at least 9. That octopus head shop is open till 9 but they suck something fierce.. hours of operation are really my only issue. Especially in the spring and summer. Get with it import house..

Worst experience ive ever had. Spent over 100 dollars in the store and asked them to toss in a 1$ screen to go with my large purchase. Ive never been treated soo poorly in my life. Youd think that i asked them to buy me lunch or something by how negatively i was treated after that. 100% will never return.. Stay away and order online. At least this way, you wont be forced to feel like a bad guy by asking them to toss in a 1$ screen on a 100$+ purchase. I told them , at least i know where not to go next time.
