If you're a sci-fi nerd, comic book lover, or simply a fan of used books, prepare to be in heaven. This place is so special to my husband and I. It was even a part of our engagement.

Honestly, I'm kind of glad I don't live nearby, or else I would absolutely be broke.I'll be back, and I will spend a ridiculous amount of money.They have an awesome collection of books, comics, Manga, and a ton of other stuff. I got a mug for instance. If you are a collector, or a nerd in general, you will love this place.

This is my favorite bookstore anywhere! They have new and used books, comics books, coloring books, games, buttons, stickers, puzzles, cards, and so much more! I love looking through all the treasures. The employees are super friendly and so is the store Kitty, Spooky! The bookstore is a fixture in Yellow Springs and a must-see.We shop there every time we visit Ohio from Florida. When we’re home, we shop their eBay and Facebook 😄

Enjoyed this place. Small, well curated selection of new books. And the used ones are classics with some vintage books thrown in. T shirts with kids' lit illustrations. Scooby Doo gumballs. Pokemon stickers. Fun vinyl stickers for adults ("Give Bees A Chance"), lots of stuff for kids. You could browse here for hours. I will be back.

Picked up a Phantom of the Opera print, and got some Spooky pets in. This place has so many things that I wanted to come back and get. We'll definitely be stopping back through when we have more time.

I am in love with this little book store and its cats!!! Dark Star Books has a long history in Yellow Springs and its owners and workers are fantastic people who really care about their community. In addition to rare older books, you can also find comics, the latest fandom merch, and a plethora of small gifts. I have been in this store a dozen times and have always found something to interest me. (Thank you for stocking rare Anne Mccaffrey books, DSB!)Support small businesses and check out this shop! I would never purchase a book here. When I visit my sister in the area my kids want to stop here every time. Although the selection is extensive, I find it hard to find particular authors or subjects. What mainly irks me is the books are priced exorbitantly high. Most used book stores that I'm accustomed to price a book based on a percentage of of its original retail price. Here the price is based on whether the book is a hardor soft cover cover, with exceptions based on if it is oversized or trade paperback. Both timesI have been here I found books I liked which were used, but priced over their original retail price. For that reason I will never shop here again.

A great place to find comics, books, games, and more for the discerning geek. Come and browse for hours. Also consider selling some of your own collection for store credit, if you have stuff you've grown tired of.

A great place to find a going variety of books from vintage to new and in-between. Now is it the most up to date building no but they make up for it by providing a very good variety at a good price.

I think this is strictly my perspective but for me it was too small for the amount of people there. It's great for their business but it was a small shop in a strip and I couldn't turn around without nearly running into others. It was very eclectic which was an appeal for me. I also like the cat and dog there.... it made it feel more like comfort shopping.

Listen, you can’t go to Yellow Springs and not stop in. I usually stop in for comics which they have a great selection of back issues. However, the rest of the store is great. Lots of neat finds. And the staff are very friendly…as is Spooky. I make the extra drive from Columbus just to go here.

There was something about coming back to this place after 20 years! The atmosphere remains awesome (still a treasure trove of good books to explore)! Traded all my comics here knowing they will eventually find a good home! In the meantime, the shop cat will be watching over them!

Love the folks who run this store. They're always happy and helpful. Plus their kitty is the perfect employee!! I always have so much fun at this store and make sure I visit every time I'm in Yellow Springs. You should definitely check it out! From board games to books they have an interesting selection.

Great book shop. The front is deceiving to how large this place is inside. Great selection of good comics, used and new books as well as board games and novelties that are more unique than other locations. The gentlemen working there were very attentive and helpful willing to help you find anything you are looking for. The prices are on point and competitive with internet pricing which is unusually for a brick and mortar location. I will be back anytime I'm in town.

This is an amazing bookstore! It is packed to the brim with used books, but it also has new ones and more. They have some games and some great t-shirts and bumper stickers and the like. Seriously, they have a ton of used books so it's a great place to get things you are interested in at a great place. And they have an awesome cat!

Awesome vintage book store with a great selection of very organized comics mostly older issues. Role Playing Games, nice authentic shop situated in a unique downtown of Yellow Springs. Picked up some good stuff, will be back for more thanks!
