Their prices on grocery basics are more expensive than other stores and you always need to make sure things are rung up correctly and digital coupons are applied. If you shop their sales and use digital coupons, they usually are the cheapest. Again, watch the prices of items being scanned to ensure they are correctly priced because they will mix sale items with non sale items.

Good selection for dollar store and generally friendly staff. But they're really short on workers. If you want a job you can hired almost on the spot. If want fast service I would expect it right now.

I bought two cables to charge my tablet and neither of them charged so I took them back to the store. The guy behind the counter could not do a return so he called for the supervisor. I handed her the cables and the receipt (keep that in mind). She then wants my drivers license and phone number. I asked her what information she needed from my license and I didn't want to give her my phone number. She said she couldn't give me a return then. I asked her why their "return policy" is so different than any other. She said "I don't make the rules, I just follow them." Then she kept my receipt and when I asked for it back she said that she could make me a copy but she had to keep it for the return.Yes, my money was returned to me because you sold a crummy overpriced product. Others may not go through the hassle of returning the crummy product and be out of their hard earned money. You have lost a customer and gained a bad review for your "return policy" and horrible customer service.

Greeting cards are VERY inexpensive there. They aren't made of cheap looking/feeling paper. I have been to this location several times and the employees have always been friendly and helpful.

Corporate dollar general won’t allow the Whitehouse, Ohio location heat. The poor employees carry hand warmers and wear their coats and hats in the building because it is so cold. Absolutely appalling of ANY employer to withhold comfortable working conditions in order to save a few dollars. That is not where you cut costs! Especially when we are in a “worker” recession. No wonder no one wants to work there.

There's something about the lighting and shelf color and height of the ceiling that clashes in here. You know when you have the option for a dark mode on an app? This is the dark mode Dollar General, and that's kinda unnerving. Service is decent tho, and it's a Dollar General so I don't know what would make a Dollar General a five star place.

DG in Whitehouse is the friendliest I've ever been in. The ladies that work there are always pleasant. Can't say that about the DGs in Delta or Swanton. The store could use a little spiffing up. And more lighting at night in the parking lot!
