Kroger is fine, but prices are rising. The digital coupons always say they are expired. I don't know why their self checkout is so small and slow. Kroger needs to borrow Walmart's self checkout!

I just went into this Kroger at 8:00 pm. All checkout lanes are closed and there is one bagger not doing anything and a young girl also not doing anything at the self checkouts on 1-8-2024 at 8:20pm. An older man with a cart full of groceries had to ASK if someone could check him out. The girl was very rude to him and said she would have to call someone from the back if he really needed it and he was waiting and waiting until he said he would just do the self checkout himself and asked if he can do it with so many items , she was rude and called to the back to say āheās just doing it himself I guessā . It looked very difficult with all his items and it kept saying wait for assistance and again the young girl was very rude to him every time. Just ridiculous. At most they have 1 lane open, today it was zero!! And there were multiple workers in the store. Iām fine with using the self checkout but not when you have a full cart of groceries like he did and had to ask for a worker.

Lady at Kroger bakery in Wheelersburg is so so rude. I was just explaining that I needed a cake for my sons birthday party, and she just kept repeating in the rudest tone okay so how may I help you? Finally I was like Iām confused itās just a cake what am I not being clear on, then she came back with well I canāt do that. I was asking so the simple thing wouldāve been to say no and move on, but no she decided she wanted to be terrible today. Either way the Kroger in Portsmouth will do it for me no problem even though she said Kroger doesnāt allow them to do it.

The staff are friendly and helpful, I was asked a few times about the quality of my visit and what I could be helped with. There is a wide variety of options available for purchase at decent prices, along with great sale prices.

If I could give this store no stars, that's what I would give. My daughter ordered a cake from the bakery and the lady who called her back to get details about the cake that had already been given when my daughter ordered it to begin with, was extremely rude on the phone with her. Then, my daughter called on her way to pick it up and the man she spoke with was also rude and said her cake wasn't there and they closed at 5:15?? He told her it had to be at the Portsmouth store. My daughter KNEW it was ordered at Wheelersburg, but drove back to Portsmouth, where she was told they didn't have her order. She called back to Wheelersburg and asked for a manager and was FINALLY told that her cake was there. So not only did she waste the gas in her car going back and forth for no reason, the time she lost getting the cake there on time, and the rudeness of the employees is absolutely uncalled for. I, nor anyone in my family will ever order from Kroger's again. And the word will be spread too.

FLIES SWARMING OVER EXPIRED PRODUCE - Can this location have the employees or manager or some human that actually works here PLEASE bring some attention to the produce section. Every single item is overripe, unstocked, and has FLIES surrounding it.This is disgusting. Considering one of Kroger's advertisements is "fresh produce." What a joke. Also when the self check-out is backed up into the freezer section because only one aisle is being manned by a human... and I see 20 employees standing around literally scratching their butts while there are 15 unopened aisles and frustrated customers... either your employees need a serious management change or a fair wage for motivation to, you know, work. Either is unacceptable. Highly suggest driving an extra half hour to Wal Mart or support the local grocery in town, but not this disgusting bug infested store.

Usually my absolute favorite store to shop in but last night the lady running self check out was rude,accusatory, and coughed on me the entire time! I was ringing up my groceries and apparently my milk didn't scan but it beeped so I didn't recognize it didn't actually ring up, well she didn't even give me time to notice because she came screaming in front of loads of people "you hold on now!!!" I was like "what happened?" She said "you didn't scan your milk and just stuck it in the bag!" I was a bit miffed but okay. well after we corrected the issue she never left and admitted herself she heard it beep so it was obvious it was a accident. She then stood at the nape of my neck to the point I could feel her breathing coughing non stop while I rang up my food! I asked her to please scooch about 6 feet and she refused hacking the whole time right on me! The thing is I could understand if there were multiple items out of my 100 plus dollars of food but it happened 1 time and she was just nasty non stop and embarrassed the heck out me . She wasn't caring about social distancing and was not even attempting to cover her mouth during this resurgence of the pandemic and that's what upset me and made me nervous the most cause i have kids. She was 50ish, shoulder length brown hair, and glasses with a bad attitude and even worse manners.

Absolutely terrible!I have several elderly clients I tend to, and taking care of their grocery shopping is one of the services I provide. After spending over an hour shopping through the store, I parked my carts out of the way to the side,( yes, 2 shopping carts full of groceries) and stepped Into another aisle to find a replacement item for one of the clients. When I returned to get my cards they were gone and all of the deli meat dairy and frozen items I had spent over an hour collecting had been placed back on the shelves by the store manager! Then the store would do nothing about it, not even apologize! Terrible ! The management team at this location is incompetent at best!

Wheelersburg krogers has a few rude people working there they act like it is a crime when you ask for help..you try to get help using the digital coupon app and they get rude with you...wished they would do away with the digital coupons and go back to the way things were..

Not much space between the end of the isles and registers. For social distancing. Had to go to the back of the store to get back an area I need to pick something else up. Blond female manager on duty was not very friendly. Ask a simple question, recived a sigh. After she answered see just walked away. No have a nice day or asked if there was anything else I needed. 3/11/21

I ask at the office if she could look up a PCU number for me of an item and she told me that she could not do that but yet online it told me that you had the item but it could not be located by me. I ask three different workers and they did not offer to help me find the item and so that is why I went to the office. Your workers today, four of them total act like they had an awful manager for a boss or like they were mad at their boss maybe unhappy with their job. I donāt have ESP I donāt know where your stock is, they get paid for this. If they arenāt happy with their job, turn your notice in. I have shopped here for years and years. I love Krogerās but with the treatment I received today I donāt trust them now. If you still have the same managers I love them, they treat me very well and friendly!

It's not like it was when the previous manager had it. They have good deals yes. But it's not near as well stocked like it used to be. It's nothing to do with Covid.. they just don't have a lot of merchandise readily available. When an item..such as a brand of dog food runs out. It may be 2 weeks before you can find it...if it's not sold out already

This Market is Great!.. Super Fresh Foods, everything is easy to find, the entire store is sanitize really clean. The young staff works effortlessly on amazing customer service!. Really kind and friendly Staff.

This Kroger is not a " super store" but it is big. The store is very clean with friendly helpful staff.Sidebar...It's my local Kroger and I know just where everything is. Sometimes that's better than a huge store to me.

I've been going to this store for over five years and have never been disappointed with any of the employees or the selection of items. It is not as large as the Portsmouth store, so of course some of your items may not be available, but it is always well stocked and it is easy to find someone to help.

Very friendly staff, very helpful. I got there ten minutes till close and was still welcomed and wasn't even rushed at all. They were out of Zippo fluid, which was my reason for the stop, but I found a couple Star Wars collectibles and got the grapefruit juice I needed. The lady that helped me even told me where to stop by for the Zippo fluid.

As a regular customer of 34 years, I have NEVER experienced rudeness to this level. I went in with 2 of my boys, one is 2yrs old and the other 4 months old, and my roommate, whom is a part of the LGBT community. We had 2 buggies full of food and 1 full of children. As we were checking out there were 5 employees bagging up our groceries... But then as I was paying, they all disappeared! She pushed the children out and I was pulling one buggy and pushing another from the furthest register from the exit to the exit doors. There Sat all of the employees on the electric shopping carts intended for handicapped shoppers. As they sat there staring at us, they never said a word, they just watched me struggle trying to get through the metal detectors and over that hump where the doors are. Finally, Seth, an employee that was furthest away from us, asked if we needed help and assisted us to my car with the buggies full of food. Even after I purposely said "thank you for offering to help us to my car" very loudly in front of all of the other employees, they still never said a word or apologized for not offering to help. They just turned up their noses at us and continued to sit on their lazy-rude-bottoms. My 2 yr old son even said good- bye to them all several times as we walked past and not one of them even acknowledged him. I have never went in this location with my roommate before and she always has said they treated her differently, but I thought maybe she just had one rude person that made her feel this way. This was absolutely unacceptable behavior. Customer service skills are definitely lacking at this location and I hope that someday the employers of this location begin realizing and informing their employees how important and appreciated a simple offer to help, the acknowledgement of a child politely saying good bye and the ACCEPTANCE of someone from the LGBT community truly is. I normally spend over $1000 a month feeding my family of 6 plus what she spends at this location. However, unless management acknowledges this incident immediately, I will not only take my business elsewhere, as many others in the area have already done, but we may be forced to seek legal action. Kroger has always been my #1 choice for groceries because of the top notch quality of their products, but this type of behavior is not only disgusting, but it is unacceptable and will force any regular customer to seek out other food retailers.
