Kroger on Schrock is close by but has serious stock issues especially with sale items. They need to restrict sale items. Daycare Centers buy multiple carts of items at a time or customers buy up all the sale items leaving no stock behind. The produce is not fresh at all most of the time. Self checkout attendents, especially in the morning are rude or busy talking to other workers or friends. Another issue is a lot of the sale items do not ring up at the correct price, even if you have the sale items selected in the app. If you tell them it's wrong, they are pretty rude about it. This store needs better management.

Old lady in the morning said I was trespassing because I came in right as the store opened if you hate your job that much then quit and you need to learn what trespassing is. If your store opens at 6 and it’s 6 and the doors are unlocked how could you get mad at a customer for coming in and shopping

Sold us rancid meat, but wouldn’t sell wine to my boyfriend with a valid photo ID, solely because I didn’t have my wallet on me. I am of age, and last I checked, these aren’t the rules. Does this mean that you wouldn’t sell a mother a bottle of wine because she has an underage child with her? Employees were screaming at each other across the produce aisles, and cashiers were rude. Glad this isn’t the Kroger closest to my house, and won’t be shopping here again. Hopefully they take the rest of the rancid meat off their shelves so that no one gets sick.

We normally get our cupcakes from Sam’s club because they’re so inexpensive but when we went there this time they were out of cupcakes and weren’t getting any in. Panicked, I called Kroger on Shrock Rd and spoke to a young lady in their bakery. She was awesome. We picked up our cupcakes and they were perfect for our theme! Yummy, inexpensive and adorable! We wanted simple gold and black glitter on them as we added the cupcake toppers. Thank you Kroger Bakery for the awesome job!

I was finally able to use a real register with a real cashier for the first time in months. That was a very nice change. Those self-checkouts make me a nervous wreck!

If Kroger is so concerned about people mis-ringing or stealing things at their self checkout stations, which slows down the process for those ringing items as well causing extra wait time for those in line while the person running self checkout has to come over and review security footage, perhaps they could have a trained employee ring in the items and not subsidize labor to the customer.

I’ve been a loyal Kroger for most of life, and recently started shopping this location because of its proximity to a friend. I appreciate that they have a decent number of checkout lanes (both self-service and associate-assisted) open so that lines move quickly. Staff are always friendly and helpful. (I wish the same could be said for ALL central Ohio Kroger stores. Ahem, Polaris Parkway, I’m looking at you. Fix your store.)

I gave one star by force. Apparently, the window only reopens if they’re not busy inside. I’m not wearing a mask and neither are the other customers waiting still at 1:52pm, no one should be obligated to go stand in the inside line when they’ve already been at the walk up waiting since 1:25pm for them to return from lunch. It’s always something here. Either they take days to fill scripts or no one informs you that the particular med isn’t available. I literally hate this pharmacy after being a customer 11 years, so much has changed.

I never had problems with this store so I used the bakery for the first time. When I walked up, I was never greeted. I was on a call and looked around for a sec. Once I was ready, I waited about 5 minutes because it looked like she was busy. I finally asked was there anyone to help. She stated she didn't know I was ready because I was on the phone. If she greeted me, she would have known. I asked for 24 cupcakes chocolate and white with Whip cream icing for 6/17/2023. I did not checked until it was time to eat. It was not Whip cream icing and I was highly upset.

Clean store, great service at the deli counter and the little Starbucks inside. The store manager, Ken is always friendly when asked for help, and Mitchell (asm I believe) is always dialed in. Even after some very challenging years, these 2 guys hold Maxtown together. You can tell they care about people and take a personal stake in their store's success. Great cashiers and baggers (when you can get one), only complaint is that they are and have been understaffed for quite some time. At some point you have to bite the bullet and pay a bit more in order to fill out the roster.Edit 4/7/24: It seems they have finally solved the staffing issues, and the remodel is going well. I'll update when they finish construction.

It's a solid grocery store. The prices are better than giant eagle and they stock a few unique items like gochujang sauce which is pretty cool. The checkout lines can suck sometimes when they only open 3 or 4 but as long as you go before 4pm you should be fine.

It’s definitely a mix on poor customer service and great customer service. One day I searched for serval minutes for someone to help me at the hot bar. One employee finally came over but was unsure of what I was asking and sent me away. Even a smile or an acknowledgment would really go a long way at this particular Kroger, where the customer service is sub par compared to ANY other Kroger.

This place employs people from the Linden northern lights Kroger that shut down . Was threatened and harassed by their stock boy one morning then threatened to be trespassed by the cashier manager Linda and the manager on duty . Why was I swore at and threatened? Because at 6am they are supposed to open and at 6:02am, standing In Front of their doors that wouldn’t open , thought they didn’t work and opened them to go in as it’s posted open time , as other customers followed me because it was 6:02 , so did a STOCK boy who proceeded to curse and threaten me!!!! Didn’t like me defending myself verbally so he continued to threaten me ! So as I wanted to call the police on him if he was an employee because personally threatening customers is a no no , the cashier manager threatened to have me trespassed with her managers blessing. Been going there for 20 years and never have I been treated so bad by staff at a business . I manage a store myself and I don’t threaten employees with bodily harm or with the police especially if they are the ones being harassed , I protect my customers !! Arrogant and the store always opens up late . Very hateful in the mornings there . They all stood around protecting their little gangsta boy . STAY AWAY FROM THIS KROGER! It’s Ghetto now . Never did receive a call from the manager either after reporting it to corporate. Gee I wonder why. Male employees threatening woman and petite if that .. the store has gone down hill , go to maxtown rd or sunbury rd Kroger , they are great with customers. Avoid the Schrock rd Kroger

While most Kroger stores suck, this one is especially bad. Good luck finding anything or an employee to help you if you need it. Also, never make the mistake of purchasing an item with a sale tag.I grabbed some soap that had a closeout sale tag on the shelf and of course when I went to ring it up at the self-checkout it came up full price. No biggie, just ask for assistance right? Well I pressed the request assistance button and waited for over ten minutes for someone to show up. No one did so I took matters into my own hands and made my own makeshift PA call for assistance in the self-service checkout. After the second time doing that magically someone appeared to provide assistance. I then had to convince that individual that I did not misread a sale tag and had them actually go check and confirm the item was on sale.Was the hassle worth the $5 I saved? Probably not. I swear, I contemplated just leaving the groceries there and going to Walmart. I definitely don't plan on returning to this Kroger ever again.

You’ll find what you need. But customer service is lacking. It might actually hurt some individuals here to be polite.Also. We have ordered groceries maybe two or three times from this location, delivered to the wrong house. In my neighborhood this happens a lot. Like I said we have order maybe twice but have received countless orders. The story is the same for all our neighbors.

Update written 10/2023: I changed my rating to 1 since I no longer will go to this location. I’d give absolutely no stars if I could. I’ve had so many issues with this store not fulfilling orders, having only one lane open which forces large orders to use the self checkout, for not having things stocked for days on end and for the pharmacy employees having poor communication. I fully understand that this store struggles HARD in all areas but I no longer will no longer being giving my business to this location even though it’s the most convenient store for me to go to. The only reason I’d come back is to go to their liquor store if I can’t find what I needed elsewhere. I tried shopping at 2 other locations that are kind of close to us and they were stocked much better than this one, employees actually engaged with me when I needed to find something instead of ignoring my existence. There’s were multiple lines open at those stores which I was shocked and pleased to see. If you have issues at this store then I highly recommend going to Meijer and Market District at Maxtown Road, Fresh Thyme on Polaris Parkway and Aldi on State Street.Originally written in 2022 when I gave 2 stars: I shopped around to find other stores that have some sort of fuel rewards and I’ve found a few way better choices in grocery stores.I only like this store because it’s convenient to where my house is located but if you’re doing pick up orders or delivery orders, do not expect to get exactly what you ordered. If you’re getting ingredients for specific recipes then expect to have to go back or somewhere else to get the other ingredients. I place orders over 12 hours in advance and I still don’t get everything I need. I’m not sure that I’ve ever gotten a full order from this location. I work outside of the central Columbus area and choose to go to that Kroger more often because they actually complete the orders I place or contact me about substitutions with enough time to actually get what I need. They also would go out of their way to make sure they’re subbing things I’d actually use. Maybe this stores inventory is harder to keep up on which is what leads to not getting the product I originally put in my order. I’ll try to be more mindful about what I need while I’m on my way home from work so I can go to the other Kroger.When I go here to the pharmacy I seem to more often that not get the same guy who checks me out. He does not greet anyone, not even a hi. It’s him always asking for what I’m there to pick up. He does not ask for a loyalty rewards card and gives no friendly farewell greeting either. Customer service just isn’t for everyone.

This location has STEADILY gone down hill for the last several months! Unfriendly associates, very few checkout lanes open...and horrible customer service counter! (If their is even an employee at the desk!) 9 people in line the other day with ONE person working the counter, and other employees that have definitely worked behind the customer service counter just walking around talking to other employees.

Many thanks to Dazahn & Matt in the Deli department!!!!! The world needs more kindness and could take a class from these two gentlemen. They took excellent care of my order for my family which was a true blessing as we are grieving a loss in our family thus cooking was the last thing we wanted to do. The food was fresh and the Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes was like I made it at home. Full of flavor!!! Thank you Kroger Deli for a wonderful experience at an unfortunate emotional time for my family!!

I've seen Kroger's commercials bragging about how fresh their produce is. I bought some organic gala apples. The apples were mushy and tasteless. I was expecting the apples to be sweet, crisp and juicy. So, needless to say I was tremendously disappointed. I think I'll stick with shopping at one of their competitors.

I had an excellent experience at this store and I would say that 99.9% of the reason I had such a wonderful experience was that Jody did such a wonderful job and customer service. She's the customer service representative who assisted me on self-checkout and she went above and beyond what a normal person would do to make the customer happy. Jodi is awesome at her job and she is a very hard worker!
