The rooms were reasonable and clean. It was a very quiet place, The water was nice and hot unlike most places. Rooms have a microwave, small refrigerators, coffee makers, a small hair dryer, tubs with shower fixtures overhead and comfortable beds. This place also has TRUCK PARKING(with nearby restaurants)and that is why I picked this location from the start.This was a 3 night stay for me at the end of Jan 2024Nearby activities: There is an Armstrong space amusement park just across the roadSafety: I felt safe here and did not have any problems . The downstairs rooms have doors on the outside and the upstairs doors are inside.Walkability: There's an Arby's and a Dunkin donuts probably 100 feet from the motel/hotelFood & drinks: There are plenty of restaurants close by examples... Bob Evans, waffle House which I ate at twice, Arby's, Dunkin Donuts, a Mexican restaurant and a Walmart Supercenter all within a half mile of this business.

So heres the thing. It is not a terrible place for a night or couple nights, but I do feel like they are a bit misleading or at least they are now.They have made attempts to make some updates so I'll give them that.The room I stayed in wasnt terrible. Nothing was broken. The walls are the very definition of thin though. I could here a guy coughing next door on my second night and it wasnt like he was hacking up a lung just a regular cough. The guy definitely heard me when I died playing a game 😬😆. Internet is okay for the most part. Went out randomly a couple times and you'll have to go through the reconnection process probably every 10-12 hrs it seemed.They don't do a breakfast though so keep that in mind. I figured based on looking around the lobby they probably didn't and based on reviews people said when they did do breakfast it wasn't great. I brought things for breakfast based on others reviews. On my last day I went to check out in the morning around 0630 and the door for the lobby was locked and definitely no signs of any breakfast or coffee. I went to the next door which is the night office and basically just left my key on the counter since no one was there and went to work.Overall it wasnt the worst place room wise. Has food places within walking distance and a bowling ally I think right next door ( didnt get a chance to check it out though). I would stay here again if I needed to, but it wouldn't necessarily be my first choice.Walkability: Seemed like a few food places and bowling were all basically within very close walking distance.

Hotel staff was helpful and wonderful. I forgot my pillow in my room, and when I called the hotel and spoke with them, they said they would mail it back. It came back in a few days, AND they also included the mirror I left behind and forgot I left. 5 star service.Also, very clean and quiet hotel. I was especially happy the halls and rooms did not stink of pot smoke. This is the only place I have stayed in in a very long time that has not reeked of Marijuana smoke. Will definitely recommend and stay again when in the area.Noteworthy details: Fantastic and courteous staff.

Got either bed bugs or a rash all over my exposed skin from this location, called manager/owner to inform him so they can do something about that room so no more customers can have the same issue I do that stay in that room. The owner denied everything, was very angry when I was just wanting pass the info to him. He yelled and talked over me anytime I tried to talk and ended with him hanging up. Would never want anybody to have to experience this.

had to make an emergency trip to MI we got very tired and decided to stop overnight. This Super 8 seemed reasonable enough for a quick overnight stay. The owner, I assume, was at the front desk to check us in. He was very friendly. We got a room with a king size bed and the room was on the backside which we did like. The room however was a different story! As soon as we opened the door it really smelled and not a good one! The bathroom was not clean!!!!!! once we got ready for bed I noticed the bedspread! it had white stains all over it!!!!! and it was n't paint either!!! so yes exactly what you are thinking is what it was!!!!!! The bed and pillows were sooooooo uncomfortable that our backs and necks hurt just as soon as we woke up from a very unsettled night!! There was not breakfast of anything!! including coffee!!! We felt very nasty after leaving!!!! I wanted to ask for a refund but my husband said let's just go. BUT you can bet your bottom dollar we will not be returning!!!!! I did not rate the room because I have nothing good to say about it. I gave the clerk/owner a 1 star because if he's the owner he should check on the rooms more!! The location is right off the interstate and thats the only good thing that I have to say!!!!!

We stayed at two different Super 8s on this trip, this one in Wapak and another in KY. The difference was astounding. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The heating and cooling worked like it should and the wifi was fast as well. Will definitely stay here again! Also, it was located right by a bunch of restaurants that all deliver and several gas stations, so perfect spot.Nearby activities: It is across the road from the Armstrong Air and Space Museum and about 5 mins from downtown antiques. There is also an escape room about 10 mins from it.Safety: We had no issues with feeling unsafe. It is tucked in it's own little bubble it feels like because of the field in front of it separating the hotel from the restaurants. The locks on the door also were in good condition.Food & drinks: There is an Arby's, Dunkin Donuts and Taco bell across a smallish field from the hotel. There is also a plethora of restaurants that deliver including Bob Evan's, Dairy Queen, Captain Ds, several pizza places as well as non-chain restaurants that don't deliver.

Customer service was horrible. The front desk attendant was very rude telling me I had no reservation when I was standing there with the reservation number on my phone... The room smelt clean but a closer look it wasn't so here I go having to play Alice and clean a room I paid for for the night which was supposed to be cleaned already... Tub was half clean as well as toilet, microwave was dirty. Oh the shower head, smhh... Hair was on the rag and towel, good thing I bring my own.. sink slow draining like it was clogged probably with hair. I would definitely not be returning here and they need to drop their nightly rates because they're over charging... Smhh

Super 8 Wapakoneta gives you a good-sized clean room and a view of a dark green soybean field (summer), an old red barn, and all the fast food restaurants on the main drag a little ways away. It is quiet and the owner is nice. It's a little slice of midwestern ambiance.I was in town for the harness racing at the fair. I would give it five stars, but there was no free coffee in the lobby anymore and no breakfast. I understand that might be expected, but I had thought those restrictions were lifted and would have appreciated a heads up.

Great place. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. The wifi is very fast even if there are a few people on it. They had a small selection for tv channels which was a downside but that's okay. I got a double bed room which was very spacious even with two beds. You cannot go wrong here. I suggest staying here, reasonably cheap and comfortable. Enjoy.

Front desk attendant was very rude and disrespectful upon entering. I had a reservation and he immediately tells me I didn't have a reservation because it wasn't showing. Instead of saying the their system was slow and the reservation just hadn't caught up with their system. Once it did he's rudely asking for my information. Then get to the room and it's HALF CLEANED! 🤬 Toilet seat, tub, sink, refrigerator microwave and floors. After spraying down with disinfectant. I had to go and literally bleach down and clean the bathroom and sink... Shower head looked like it hadn't been touched since they opened. Smhh... Again! WHY?! Do we have to clean a room we're paying for to rest in when traveling? What does housekeeping actually do when they clean now? Oh! Spot clean if it looked like it hadn't been touched then use it for the next guest... I think that's the common motto for alot of these hotels. Just know I will never be referring this hotel nor will I ever be returning to this location. The rudeness of the front desk attendant alone help that decision and if I could have gotten a refund for it and went else where I would have... I don't recommend it!

I requested a ground floor room 6 weeks in advance when I made my reservation. Upon arrival late at night there were no ground floor rooms available and pets were not allowed on the 2nd floor. I have always stayed at this hotel when in town for a dog show, as do all the other show people. Never again! When I called the customer service number, the lady called the hotel directly and was informed only service animals are allowed. A lie. Not the first time I have had a problem with a reservation at this hotel, and after making a reservation 6 weeks in advance, they did not have a room for me.

Love it here! Truck parking! Great room rates for a great room! Just 8 dollars more than the crappy looking hotel next to TA.Upstairs are inside,downstairs outside doors. Quiet near cornfields & Arby's right next door! Rooms are updated & clean. Coffee pot,fridge with freezer,microwave,great AC, super comfortable beds & pillows for a great night sleep! Stayed here July 16th,17th 2016. Straight Hotel/Motel no pool.

Easy access from I75. Check in was a bit incordial...I think the cleck said five words to me. For the mony, the room was OK. Old looking room but (relatively) clean. Splatter of something on the wall - hope it was hot sauce and not blood. Bed looked clean, slept comfortably. Quiet interior second floor room. If you're happy with a basic room and a good price, I'd stay here.

Very rude owner. Watched you eat at breakfast. Wanted us to move downstairs because of our dog said he didn’t allow dogs on second floor but they are pet friendly. We had 5 rooms and we left
