I hate to give bad reviews, but extremely frustrated. Three of the four times we have tried to shop at this store, it was closed during regular hours! Last night, my husband tried to shop there after work at 6:30p (open til 8) when there was a sign on the door saying closed early. This is an ongoing issue. Why did you even build the place?! The one time we DID shop there, the experience was just fine. Keep the store open... staffing issues?!Update 7/17/2022.... changed my review from 1 to 4 stars. Store has improved greatly. Not closed constantly like they used to be... place seems organized... and is very convenient for us... thanks.

I came here for the first time last week. It seemed bigger than most Dollar Generals. They had a great selection of refrigerated goods. I bought two Red Baron pizzas, tortilla chips, and salsa con queso. The cashier, a young man, was friendly. I have no complaints and would come back.

It’s so hard to shop here. The shelves are always half empty with wheelers full of unpacked boxes of product in the aisles taking up space, the door alarm is obnoxiously loud and the chime constantly goes off with people going through or not, and most of the time the employees are in the office area behind the cash register chatting away while the store is in absolute disarray. It didn’t take long for this pretty new store to turn into any other dollar general in Springfield. I wish I could upload a video of how many times that door alarm goes off when you’re shopping… 18 times in 5 minutes I counted- and I’m not exaggerating.

Posted hours says 8a to 10p. Hand written sign on the door says closing at 8. For a store that nobody in this town wanted, the least you could do is honor the hours you say. Got there at 7:45 and there were already two cars in the parking lot leaving because the doors were locked and nobody in sight in the store.

Great place to stock up on deal's but that's if they are open due to not having employees to show up for work but there is two younger girls that work here and they are very helpful and sweet..

Recently opened so store is clean. Still receiving some stock. Assorted selection of grocery items and typical Dollar General offerings. Convenient for when you don't want to go into Springfield or London.

Horrible every time I've gone there. They have closed twice before posted hours. I'm sure staffing issues. The place is never stocked. And half of the coolers were not working the last time i went into this location. It's a new store!

Dollar general in South vienna was clean and friendly. The only worker there, stopped what she was doing and directed us to isle we needed.. thanks

The woman in her late 50’s - early 60’s has no regard for the customers. She is rude and disrespectful. If you want polite & good service, I suggest you go elsewhere.

These stores are a joke anymore... The manager in south Vienna will cuss at you for ringing a bell they provide for assistance... The stores are never stocked on the shelves, but the back rooms are stocked to the ceiling... I'm guessing they want to keep their product!!

I would love to rate this store higher but they close at random times. It's only 8pm and they are closed but sign says open until 10pm. This is the second time in the past month. Very frustrating!

I went in on Friday 9/24/21 at 7:55 and there was a sign on the door closing at 8. The lady came to the door and said we are closed. I looked at the time and I said in 5 mins you are. She wouldn’t let me in. This woman needs to be fired
