The only thing good is that the location is convenient. Their chip readers at self checkout almost always malfunction. On top of that, there is always a wait to check out because they close down almost all the self checkouts early and don't open them till late in the day, forcing everyone to funnel through just a few checkouts. A lot of times the app is not accurate with regards to it's coupons, or is laggy. Also, they shut down the gas station before the store for some reason. I stopped to get gas on my way home from work the other night (1 hour before store closes), and they literally shut down the pumps as I was getting out of my car to pump. As said, they are conveniently located just off the interstate, but have terrible service.

Always have what I'm looking for in stock.Your favorite Kroger brand may be gone if on sale bur they quickly restock. They will always open a lane if the lines to check out get more than 3 carts long. The self checkout is easy to use too and has an attendant near by. If I have a many item cart I will stand and wait in Christian's line though. He is the absolute best, makes the check out process a pleasure. Thanks always Christian!

Pharmacy is awesome!!! Very helpful. I drive extra to go to them. They have saved me money. At gas prices, that's saying something.

They have an outdoor table and chairs on their patio by the front doors that has been marked down. I waited in line at the customer service desk for at least 15 minutes. When I made it up to the counter to ask if that price was for just the display outside or if they had the same thing in unopened boxes (my preference). She said she didn't know. She also did not offer to find out for me or offer any guidance whatsoever. I asked if the price was for the display-then could someone help me load it in the truck if I pulled it around? "No. I don't think we have any baggers available right now." So I ask her flat out how I'm supposed to buy it? "I'm not sure what table and chairs you are talking about." This is the help I received from the customer service desk. I walked away and found a younger gentleman watching the self checkout area. I asked him if the price was for the display or new boxed items. He didn't know either and asked me if I could bring it in the store. I pointed out that he was asking me to bring a 6 piece patio furniture set into the store that I myself wanted help loading into my truck. I also pointed out that I just want to buy it and no one seems to know how I can accomplish that. He replied that he wasn't sure about it because "that's not what he usually does." So over 20 minutes later I walk out of the store empty handed. Who is the manager here? How do your own employees not know anything about an item like this that is for sale on your own patio? How could they not know who would know or offer any guidance on how I could figure this out? Especially from the customer service desk?

I like Kroger brand products. I like the Vandalia location. However, there are always people packing up groceries blocking shelves, crowding isles and slowing down those who are shopping. This often leaves empty shelves or products on high shelves out of reach for the average shopper. There is not enough restocking or moving products where they are reachable and no one to help. I have had to leave empty handed because there was No one available to help. Well, if I had time to go to customer service, wait in line and find someone tall enough... Or if you want 2 products and there's only 1 in the case, I have not had luck asking if there's more in the back. I feel customer provision is lacking. Customer service is fine, they are ill equipped.

Has some basics, but the Asian foods section here is awful compared to other Krogers. Not a single jar of Indian curry sauce, of any brand. No lentil or chickpea pouches, etc. There are just a couple items for Thai curries (curry paste and coconut milk)

The Store is a good store Great Carts clean store. But it's limited on products like Whole Catfish, Turkey Wings. Maybe they're not big sellers who know. Prices are high but competitive Some of the staff are nice and the other half isn't. The pharmacy is Good at the deli Chicken is gross 🤢 specialty the baked they just make to much at once and it dies under the hot lamps.

I have been told several times that they could not take the skin off of the salmon in the meat department. I have been told that they can by two managers now. It may be time consuming but the people in the meat department seems like I am making their day harder asking them to take the skin off. Then they try to charge me for the fish with the skin on. One manager had the cashier adjust the price because of the weight loss after taking the skin off. Today I had my first piece of fish weighed with the skin on again. After getting confirmation from another manager about having the fish skinned is not a problem. I went back and got another piece of fish. This time it was weighed with the skin on and with it in a styrofoam tray. So I paid for the weight of the tray as well. Prices have been going up on food the last few years and it seems like I am paying for more and getting less at the grocery store just like going to a restaurant. Just trying to find some relief staying at home cooking. But that is pricey as well.

This is for the delivery service.Thank you to your driver tonight for reaching out to me on a call to make sure he arrived at the right location! Thank you so much!To anyone using delivery service... If you live in an apartment put your apartment number in the COMMENT section. The GPS makes mistakes sometimes and that helps. I'd recommend.

The employees were very helpful. The baby aisle felt extremely small but...I don't have babies to worry about. 😉They are starting to put out the flower, trees, ferns, and veggie plants!

What an absolute train wreck! I asked for assistance because items were not scanning and after three times of telling the associate she still said I had to keep scanning and walked away.

I went to Kroger as I always do. the store is clean and the staff is always helpful and courteous .weekly shopping. Nothing extraordinary. Went through a cashier check out they had 3 open which is great. Today 4-27-24 there were four open lanes. This is excellent!!

I was very pleased with the cleanliness and set up of this store. I used self checkout since I only had 20 items. I did have a few hiccups with the POS but the cashier Sha'Naiya (hope I spelled it right) was very patient and efficient. She helped assist me with the Kroger app and my coupons. I always shop at this location for Kroger pickup so going in store is my last resort but I'll start coming inside to shop more often.

I used to love shopping at Kroger. Unfortunately, the past couple of years it feels like every time I'm looking for something, they no longer carry it or they're out of it. I constantly have to bag my own groceries. My app doesn't link correctly so every time I miss out on money and I have to go to customer service for a refund. Some of the people are okay in the store. Some are quite rude. There's a cashier who constantly wants to give my children candy without asking my permission. Children could be diabetic or have allergies. And I don't appreciate having to do the five for five. Everything is a treasure hunt. I honestly miss the paper coupons because things don't want to load and then my husband who is supposed to have a shared account, gets completely different offers than I do. It's very stressful. I also don't appreciate their record-breaking profits when they're just taking advantage of covid and post covid times. They realize people will pay more and so they charge more. And it's not just a little bit. Every time I go into the store things have raised 30 or 40 cents. It's ludicrous. I shop at other stores that don't do this, so I go to Kroger less and less.

This store has never been great in this town since they moved locations. However, it used to be clean. Now, I don't think the floor has been cleaned there in months; it's extremely dirty. The produce has been hit or miss for years but it's almost always rotting now. I'm not sure if they plan to remodel, and that's why it's in such disarray, but months of caked dirt on the floor/in coolers in a building full of food is not a good idea. This store is packed full of customers everyday and should be clean, can't be money issues. The one upside is the staff are nice. I only shop here in emergency otherwise I travel to the next town for groceries now.

I always have an average experience shopping here. Never amazing, never super disappointed- until today. The self checkout attendant on the side closer to the Starbucks (USHA I think was her name) was VERY disrespectful. When I pulled my cart up to the U scan + conveyor belt she literally walked up to me and just stared til asked her if she needed anything.During scanning, I apparently put two items on the belt that didn’t scan properly. She yelled “SIR! YOU NEED TO PUT THAT PHONE DOWN” and walked up, took items off the belt and took far too long to explain to me how to use the machine.I used to work here and I know what to do. I get that people make mistakes and some people need to be helped, but she was so arrogant and was speaking to me like I was a total idiot. And demanded I get off the phone, which got under my skin. Then left me with a sly remark saying “you got a lot of groceries for self check out”Not to mention the bagger there was sitting at the end of the conveyor belt doing literally nothing. I bagged like half my groceries while a bagger watched.I hope I’m just having a bad day, but I can tell you if I see that USHA woman at self check out, I will be walking to the other side of the store.USHA is rude and speaks to you like an idiot.

This Kroger has gone down hill. Frequently out of a lot of items. Need to check expiration dates and produce selection is unreliable. But the worst thing is the wait for the check out. Even on a weekday afternoon when it’s not expected to be busy it’s an outrageous wait time. Forget it around the holidays or in the evening after the workday

Went to the Northwoods store, the Friday before Thanksgiving.they had no pumpkin pies at all in their bakery area. They only had frozen or you bake pies. They had no Bob Evan's sausage at all. There were other items missing entirely in the canned goods aisle as well. My list is like this quite often the last few years, even before the pandemic. Is this store closing or what? It is very poorly stocked compared to other branches. Who is responsible for ordering stock?Kroger, we are not sure we can count on you anymore.

Produce turns out us too quickly. Just purchased expired canned goods….quality control is an issue. And service is almost always lacking.

Shelves not stocked, Kroger brand items are garbage, self checkout is slow and ridiculous, staff is incompetent, layout of store is stupid. I can't think of anything else to say about how bad this store is operated.
