We went to go check out and one of the employees there named connie allen accused my mother of stealing a watermelon while she was at the self checkout about to pay for all of the things she had. Connie then kicked my mother out of the store. My mom was 2 seconds from paying for 43 dollars woth of things. If the mannager janet panner would deal with this employee, it would be greatly appreciated.

Went to pick up my Fed Ex package and the store was closed at 8:25pm. Their website says they are open until 9pm. I understand short staffing makes the store very cluttered and the shelves pretty bare, but closing?? They just opened this new store... Very disappointed 😞

I purchased a gift card at Dollar General and had a problem with it. The store associate Connie Allen was very helpful and called the gift card company and resolved within a few minutes. I am thankful for the special care they give customers. I will definitely come back to shop here again.

I bought a black pepper and didn't realize that it was open when I bought it. So, I took it back. I would liked to have exchanged it for a new sealed package but they were out. I did have a few other items to buy, so they just credited the purchase amount to my new amount due. Everyone was nice and helpful and made the return easy and uncomplicated.

most times the van wert store is a wonderful store to shop but for about a month now it is not a safe place to shop the aisles are stacked with the unpacked boxes I would not take a child in there also adults are not safe. the help they have are trying but it is impossible to be a clerk and a stocker at this time it is a shame. it was a nice store.

Overall nice respectable staff, except one female manager. 2 wks ago I went in looking for leggings and a couple of other items, potential gifts next month, caught my eye. So I took a few pictures. Granted a couple items. Had too many things in my arms odd shaped, ove thing started to fall and I ended up dropping everything. Sp I got a cart to put it all in. As I put all of the items and my purse in the cart this manager apparently called the police accusing me of putting something 'in my bag'. After a few moments 2 officers walked in and some top said manager. One went back outside, little did I know they had parked beside me, and the other made his way to me. None the wiser, cordial manners kicked in on auto and small talk ensued as he asked me for my ID, then kept it face down while he walked and talked with me for 30 minutes or so. I finally asked if I did something wrong. His non-chalant and neutral response was 'Possibly '. After a few more minutes and a call over his radio, he noticed my own collection in my purse and asked me about it. I showed him some and he asked me if I had put anything in my bag. I responded no and proceeded to empty my entire bag in front of him, knowing full well it had sat in the cart open, ...in front of him the whole time. It wasn't until the 2nd officer returned and he told him i'd emptied my purse in front of him that he gave me my license back and they went to the ' manager ' to explain I didn't have anything. Consumers beware! Heaven forbid you pick things up got drop in this store! If you do you just may get accused of shoplifting and be followed around by a cop IN the store during your visit.

I'd give it zero stars if I could. The whole store is a mess and quite frankly a safety issue. The manger doesn't care obviously. The store should be shut down. I've heard rumors of another one out by can Wert Wal-Mart. Yea don't be building another pos store when the fire one is already trash.

This particular Dollar General has some very rude employees. You can also expect to stand in line for 15 minutes while the cashier talks about her children and grandparents. That's happened to me on 3 seperate occasions visiting this store.

There are always boxes in the aisle for stocking. I've been in there multiple times of day. Stocking is good but when I can't get down the aisle I can't see what's being stocked.

Great little store. This one's a little dated though. They have a great selection and the prices are reasonable. And it's not as hectic as Wal Mart. Nice niche chain store.

The store is always dirty and over crowded with unorganized clutter. Tonight I went in with my 3 year old grandson and he needed to go to the bathroom and they informed me that they did not have a public bathroom for their customers which is probably for the best because it would have probably been dirty like the rest of the store. Very disappointed.

looked all over for this particular medicine and couldn't find it. one of the employees knew exactly where it was went to exactly where it was, talk abou a life save. even the cashier was extremely nice,!!!!

Best place to go if you want to wait in line for ever!!!! There is only one cashier at all times and you'll be lucky if you can even walk down the over crowded isles!

Standard dollar general store, we went around 9pm on a Friday night and they had aisles cluttered with freight and carts for restocking. Staff was friendly.

Two of the employees were not wearing masks and while I was waiting to check out I saw three people walk in without masks and none of them were told to put one on.

I go to the Dollar General all the time. They always have a nice selection of things to buy. The cashiers are nice

Shelves are never stocked. Boxes and hand carts are always blocking aisles. Check out is always a minimum 20 minute wait.
