The building needs replaced, the bathrooms are atrocious gas station bathrooms circa 1981. The employees are lovely but the store is stuck in perpetual covid… aka tons of empty shelves, often looks like a war zone. Kroger is not putting any effort into this location whatsoever. Maybe it’s on the list to close?

I decided to check the sushi kiosk inside. There were no rolls that just had Salmon so I asked the attendant if one could be made. He made the roll, handed it to me and I checked out. I should've looked at the sushi rather than offer blind trust. The salmon used is clearly not good, instead of the usual vivid pink of good salmon, this is a dark muted pink with brown throughout. It's amazing to me that any food service location would either be unaware of what they were serving or uncaring enough, who knows which in this case. 🤮🤮

This Kroger rarely has checkouts that aren’t self, and when you speak with the self checkout attendants they are rude. I had one push my cart back towards me today. I will go back to shopping at Walmart. They almost always have a real checkout and when they don’t their self check out attendants are friendly and professional. Do better Kroger!

Good place to shop, good deals. They are remodeling the store, can't wait to see how it looks. People are very friendly and helpful. Free samples in bakery daily. I loose myself with my toilet paper fortress. If you find my fort the password is snails otherwise access denied. Join us on the war against pasta

Can have terrific deals and carries items other places may not have. Kroger brands are decent substitutes for major brand names

I post this being a life long Kroger, loyal shopper. They’re price gouging at the Urbana location. I just saved 70 dollars by going to the hellscape known as Walmart.The Urbana Kroger is old and run down as well. Most stores that size and age have been torn down and rebuilt… and honestly I’d be willing to be price gouged more in a nicer store. But what I see here is zero investment since 1990 and the same prices as the glamorous marketplace stores holding triple the selection of just darn near everything.Sorry to quit you Kroger. Maybe one day we can afford to come back.

I always go there for the great deals, plus I hate getting sucked into Walmart's vortex. Especially if I only need a few groceries.Their produce is beautiful!! It looks like it's artificial or something. I mean, look... just look at these onions!!It's crazy, they've got a light shining on them and everything!!Ok.. that being said, I have been there THREE times recently, and they have been OUT OF SUGAR. Again.... OUT of sugar. 😑What corporate grocery store runs out of household staples? And more than once!?Then if you mention it to the employees upon checkout, they just look at you with a blank stare on their faces. They don't even acknowledge you or try to help. We had three employees at once just looking at us like they could not comprehend our request.I'm starting to see now why they are CONSTANTLY hiring. My idea is that they should hire someone whose sole job is to maintain the sugar. So, so ridiculous!!

I love this store for it's size prices, and the customer service. They always have good deals in the meat department and the people at the liquor store are usually upbeat and nice to chat with. I live in Springfield but when I worked in Urbana I would stop there for my groceries rather than the one less than a mile from my home. Keep up good work y'all!!

It’s worth my time to drive to Urbana and shop at this Kroger’s location. Every time I shop at this location, the employees are genuinely courteous. All cashiers are cheerful and briefly converse with their customers. Shoppers truly feel appreciated and look forward to returning.

They are a good store they can save you money with there coupons on their app but their produce is not alaways fresh so they need to do better with that. Plus their employees that do the online order pick up for people need to nicer to the customer sometime they don't watch out for us and they will run us over

Horrific experience. Your cashier "Dottie" is abrasive, foul mouthed and should NEVER be in front of customers. The customer before me and myself had to deal with her saying "I get nothing for being nice". I'll never shop there again as long as she's still there. Awful person that shouldn't represent any brand.

I grocery shop here quite often for myself and others for all of my needs but usually end up with items I want as well, as we all tend to do while shopping!Every department is usually filled with fresh goods to choose from, the shelves also usually remain stocked throughout the week, and its rare I leave the store still needing any items I originally intended to buy.

Wide variety of items. Big selection of organic products and larger variety of many different things. Kroger offers many items that can't be found at Wal-Mart or Steve's Market. Only downside are the self checkout lanes. They are very slow and glitchy.

I had a problem with a $50 coupon I received recently. When I called the customer service # they weren't very helpful. I went into the Urbana store and explained the issue to the CS manager. After a few minutes on the phone he fixed the problem and I was able to buy the last of my Thanksgiving food. Great customer service!

I went with my mother and will be honest who was helping me and my family with groceries. We had a cart full and everything was going fine. We got to the register with an older female cashier (will not provide name) who staright out the gate was being rude. After she had scanned everything I asked if I could clear my card which at the time only had $20. She knew my mother was helping me. She said "What do you want to put towards it?" I said $20 please. I kid you not this employee screamed were people in line could hear her "ONLY $20 DONT YOU THINK YOU SHOULD PUT MORE!!!" I was very imbaressed and angry and wanted to start calling this employee every name in the Book. I just walked out. This employee had given us issues before and I will say the employee's at this Krogers need to Learn more on Customer Care. They do not care how they bag your food or if they crush your bread or break your eggs. That one employee tho If I was in charge would of walked out without a Job that Day. Krogers If you want I'd be happy to come In and train your employees how to treat customers.

Good selection of goods. Nice bakery and deli and fair selection of produce. Store layout is slightly off. The more popular aisles, such as soda and chips are narrower than other aisles in the store and makes it difficult to get through them at busy times of the day. Have you Kroger plus card to save money and not pay their high prices on most items.

7:30 on Sunday night had to check out our entire cart at selfcheckout. Everything wouldn't fit in bag area. Not 1 single lane open with a cashier! We pay a lot of our groceries and I have a job where I work over 40 hours a week. Kroger does not pay me to work there nor do they give a discount because they can't keep employees. I was told all but 1 person was at lunch. Maybe they should have staggered their lunch so customers are taken care of. With the prices they are charging this is ridiculous!

I’ve been there multiple times, and every single time I’m there someone on the speakers always alerts the workers. Today it was “code 13, position 65” coincidentally I was in aisle 13. I was the only person in that aisle, and every single time I’m there the code is always the aisle I’m in (last time I was there it was an announcement about stealing). Besides the fact that I feel targeted by this place, it is unorganized. The layout of the store is clumsy and not very well lit. Don’t call people out in the store, make your lights brighter so you can actually see what is happening instead of randomly accusing people!

Used to like shopping at Kroger until the remodel. I even gave it a few months to settle in but still don’t care for it. The organic section was all together and in one place, very convenient. Now it is spread throughout the store and have not been able to find/ or they stopped carrying some of the products I used to buy. I even asked at the customer service desk about The products. No worries amazon has them and they deliver. But there produce is the best in urbana.
