Found Barely Used Pets through a lost pet group on Facebook. I searched their Pets and found my baby boy. This facility is extremely clean, the Pets are really cared for and the entire staff is out of this world. I drove from Dayton to Urbana and it was worth the trip. I was provided with a collar and leash. We changed his name and he's growing like a weed. He's fit right into the family.Thank you Barely Used Pets

I just adopted this past Saturday . The staff was wonderful . They took time to talk to me about each pet so that I could make a decision that was best for me. The facility was spotless and smelled very clean . The pets were well taken care of . I would highly recommend this adoption center .

This rescue is so awesome. All the staff is super knowledgeable and willing to adapt to changing needs. You can tell from the way they interact with the animals that their hearts are in their work. Thank you so much to Carly, Amber, and Michella for helping in my adoption process for my new boxer mix. Please come here before going to a Pet land, etc. Also, spay and neuter is a must! Thank you!

Barely Used Pets offered free Spay or neuter. Our drop off was Sunday between 4-5 pm then they would transport to OSU vet clinic on Monday. ( with a $25 donation for gas) After dropping off my 13 week old puppy, he was attacked by another dog. Pick up for our puppy was Wednesday. I had to work so my husband picked up Charger. Upon arrival he had a shaved area 8x8 and a laceration of almost 5 inches. We were NOT notified that he had an accident. I specifically asked if he was going to be alone and not around others because he was so young. The office did NOT report this to me or my husband that he was attacked. So when receiving him back i got the pics of what he looked like. Called BUP numberous times before called back. I STILL know nothing about the dog that attacked him. I have contacted many places. Ohio SPCA, attourney Generals office, Champaign Animal welfare, and Im not done! This is totally unacceptable. Also upon posting on social media, i was contacted by many about how the pets there are treated. I have several pics of other dogs that have been attacked. When one of the voiced her opinion of what was going on she was let go. Unacceptable unacceptable! Be ware of taking your babies here.Also was notified of a lady who adopted a dog from there that had been returned twice before she adopted this dog. This dog attacked her and cause serious injury. Also not acceptable!

Beautiful clean facility and the animals look so well cared for. We got a 6 month old kitten from there who is defective. He thinks he is one of the dogs. Even eats their food over his and likes car rides

Adopted Erie, now known as Maple. After our vet check, she also came with ear infection, UTI, and several gut infections. She's a very sweet dog, it's sad she was suffering with all this when apopted.

Im very pleased with this rescue with the spca and shelters for the city not 1 cared enough to help me with some dying kittens. 3 were able to get rescued until a person yelled at us for being on her property when we were in a driveway n sidewalk.Many have continued to come to my home for food im unable to feed them since i have pets of my own. Cats are not wild life

I would place it at zero if possible, they started out very promising and we adopted a puppy from them. A while later the dog was still skinny as if no matter how much he ate it wasn't helping as if he came here sick and we had no clue (he tried to break the leash at one point to get food after eating a lot, I didn't think about it until now that it clicked that he probably has something wrong and had I known I would have taken him to the vet), he bit my fiancee a couple times while we were trying to potty train him, not enough to draw blood but it wasn't playfully (we weren't being mean just putting his nose in it). He grabbed onto my hand multiple times as playing but kept escalating and came close to hurting me. We were going to rehome him but due to the contract we had to take him back to the pound, which we hated doing. Once there a few of the staff gave us nasty looks and one of them passive aggressively asked why we were returning him then talked loudly about us griping about us bringing him back. We didn't even want him back there but we couldn't re-home him thanks to them, we were already feeling guilty about trying to find him a new home and they rubbed salt in the wound. They also misidentified his breed we believe and lied about his temperament. I'm still so sad that we couldn't keep him and I'm torn up that he wasn't a good match for us, even sadder that he's stuck there now.

This place is AMAZING!! Friendly staff, clean facility and you can tell they care for their animals. We had a fantastic experience adopting our boy- super great and efficient.. will definitely go back when we are ready for another furmember.

I adopted my best friend a little over a week ago! I’m so thankful for all you do! Leroy was there for a little while, when I adopted him I could tell they were very caring and would do anything to make their animals “feel” welcomed, before they are adopted into their forever homes! I really like that they post their animals on social media, because that’s how I found Leroy and made a 2 hour drive to go adopt him! I would definitely recommend following their Facebook page! ☺️

Place was clean and staff were friendly. Love that orange cat they have in the office from time to time. The adoption process was nice aswell, we had to wait a couple of days for him, but were able to adopt Frisk (at the time named Jack). He was such a cute and small kitten. How the time by!

I adopted this little boy almost 2years ago and he is the silliest boy ever. He fell in love with my boy Paikea and the two of them were the best of friends. When he lost his brother he was quite sad.

This is the cleanest, most well organized, most genuine rescue I have worked with to date! The staff is sweet and well versed in knowledge of each individual dog, they treat the animals as their own and it shows! The adoption process was stress free and easy to traverse. I highly recommend stopping by and seeing what they have to offer and who knows you just might find your forever furry companion!

We got our Husky mix, 5 yrs ago from Barely Used Pets. They had rescued her with eleven other dogs from a kill shelter. I am very thankful for how much they care about saving animals. She had mange when they got her and had her treated. She most certainly would have been put down if they had not intervened. We were given money in honor of a family member we recently lost and told to donate to a well-deserved place of our choosing. We will be donating tomorrow to Barely Used Pets. Thank you for everything you do.

Recently adopted from here. We went to look at one dog in particular. When we decided she wouldn't work for us,we looked at two others. We also decided against them. Last minute decided to look at one more. He was a fit. Everyone there was very patient with us through out the process. We were very pleased with our experience there.
