Placed a bakery order well in advance of Easter. Two packages of slider, buns, one large round pumpernickel loaf, and one large pack of pull apart dinner rolls . The night before Easter they called to say that they were not gonna have the pumpernickel bread because they didn’t have the ingredients for it. Don’t you think You would’ve known that before you took the orders. Ridiculous. Found pumpernickel bread from somewhere else. Went to giant eagle to pick up slider buns and rolls. Didn’t have any rolls gave us some free stale, dry rolls. And one of the slider packages was missing one bun. Absolutely piss poor customer service. Do they have a bunch of idiots working in the bakery. Embarrassing.

Overall this is a great store with reasonable prices. The produce section is very large with a wide selection of fresh products. The deli and premade section is by far the best in the area. The only downside is at the checkout which is mostly self-checkout. Even the attendant lanes appear to be able to be setup so they can be self-checkout, which they were with only one exception that had a cashier. In my opinion this is unacceptable for checkouts at any store but even moreso where assistance is often needed to complete the transaction.

The selection and cleanliness of this store is great but they rely heavily on self checkout. Its worse than Wal-Mart when it comes to finding a full service lane without a long wait.

This place has gone way down hill. $12 for a piece of grilled chicken and some rice. Their meat department is okay although they don't have the selection of dry aged steaks they used to. It's getting old and starting to look old and run down. The grocery store down the street has much better prices and the same selection... Plus boars head lunch meats. Market districts lunch meat are not edible.

Went shopping for Thanksgiving groceries. They had everything we needed and even a few new grocery items to try (for dinner that evening). Even though it was busy, still well stocked in store.

Needed assistance 8 times at a self checkout because the item UPC didn't register OR the price was incorrectly marked. Definitely would have wasted less time at ACME, looks like I'll be shopping there instead.

First time as a local here. The meat department was super helpful, very nice and approachable guy. He deserves 10 stars. He went out of his way to cut me beef tips when he didnt have to . His name is MIKE. Honestly. Give that man a raise. Thank you Mike!!!

I have to say that when I first started shopping at the Uniontown store it was much nicer, it was properly stocked, people were much more friendly and food was fresher. Recently they have had very poor customer service, the check out lines are almost all self check out with little assistance. Do you have any ideal how upset the people waiting in line behind you at a self check out can become? Its ridiculous. If there are any check outs open with someone behind the register the line is super long, because normally its only one or two, people pay for a service that they dont get, and the prices still keep going up. So higher prices and poorer customer service. Pitiful. I've had bad experience with the bakery department such as dried out cakes, hair baked into their apple pie, and an I don't care attitude. When calling the store to get someone to answer the phone is almost impossible. They need to tidy up their ship before it sinks.

We've shopped here for years. Every year, our experience seems to worsen. After today, I seriously must consider if I ever return. Sick of all of the marketing scheme's. Their always trying to make you slip up. Previous example: Tostitoes 2 for $7. Not all, just selected one's. Ok, no prob. I wanted the multi grain scoops. No price on the product or the shelf. Other varieties all had prices clearly marked on the shelf. Not the one's I wanted. I go to check out, they ring up for around $5.50. So, I hit the button for the attendant. I explained my displeasure and of course, she could care less. Same thing happened with Boneless, skinless chicken. I picked up the wrong package because there was no sale price at the meat counter. I told the cashier, she was clueless, called the meat department. A meat department employee brought me the sale chicken to the register. Then, they both acted like condescending punks. The sale chicken was found in another cooler 50 feet from the meat counter with all of the various types of meat. Tired of the TRICKERY!!!!

This Giant Eagle has friendly staff and is always clean. The to go meals can be hit or miss, but they have a fully stocked deli, plenty of wine, liquor, and plenty of different beers. Plus all the ingredients to make a great poutine (it can be difficult to find cheese curds around here). Luckily this store has almost anything you might be looking for!

Everyone loves Giant Eagle, I don't normally shop here, I ordered 100 pieces of chicken for our annual family Christmas Party, it was supposed to be ready at 3:30 pm. When I arrived at 3:30 I was told it would be 10 minutes until my order was ready. No problem. I ended up waiting about 40 minutes.. problem...

It was clean and the employees were courteous but it was hard to navigate because they had alcohol displays everywhere and where you would think you would find an item, using common sense and past experiences, the item would not be there 😔

The rudest customers shop here. No courtesy at all. The cashier packed fresh raw fish with fresh vegetables. Additionally the rotisserie chicken was not labeled correctly and I ended up with a seasoned product I did not want. I will never come back to this GE.
