Frustrating experience to have a young man tell me I would have to pay more for an organic 3 bulk garlic pack that didn’t have a tag. When I commented that I didn’t want to pay more nor was it my fault that it didn’t have a tag. He repeated, it doesn’t have a tag. My comment, why would I need to pay more for an item that was not tagged, nor my fault it wasn’t tagged. He didn’t offer to get the item, call for help, nor tell me HE CAN search for the item in a system. At this point, to keep things moving, I opted to walk off to get a tagged bulk garlic (while my other companion stayed with the Caucasian male cashier working 8:45pm on Friday night- name starting w a B and ending with Y).By the time I returned I made the comment regarding the system’s ability to search for an item based on name. He says, ‘ let me say it again, I would have to ring it up as individual item and do you just want to pay more.’ Really?Within the same interaction, he tells me he already rang it up and repeats that I don’t understand. Same comment 2 additional times. So I ask management this question, he if we’re able to search for the item, WHY did he open the conversation with, ‘I’m going to have to ring up the item separately which cost more because there isn’t a tag?’ I call this a gas lighting behavior and as such he didn’t appreciate my inquiry on why I should pay more because of the item not having a tag. This person needs training in customer service and to understand that just because a customer ask a valid question, he shouldn’t feel attacked. This is a business transaction with customer interfacing responsibilities. Shame on him.I do have a positive note, the customer service manager on duty took my phone call and was a great listener and fully understood the issue. Now that is great customer service and definitely indicative of our Kroger name!!!

Walking into this Kroger, I was immediately struck by its pristine cleanliness, an inviting beacon for any shopper. The shelves were meticulously organized, each product shining under the soft glow of the well-placed lighting, creating a calming ambiance that made the shopping experience a pleasure rather than a chore. The employees were not just helpful; they were exceptionally kind and attentive, ready to assist with a smile that was both genuine and warming. Whether it was guiding me to a hard-to-find ingredient or suggesting alternatives when my usual choices were unavailable, their expertise and eagerness to help were evident. Moreover, Kroger's inventory was impressive. They had everything on my list, from the staples to specialty items. But it was the delightful array of unexpected treats that caught my eye—gourmet chocolates, exotic fruits, and artisanal cheeses, to name a few—tempting delights that I couldn't resist adding to my cart. Each aisle offered a new temptation, turning my routine grocery run into an exciting culinary adventure. In summary, this visit to Kroger was not just a mundane errand but a delightful experience, enhanced by superb customer service and a treasure trove of both essential and indulgent offerings. It's a reminder that sometimes, the things we didn't know we needed are the ones that bring us the most joy.

Locking people out at 5:35 Christmas Eve, when they close at 6pm. Almost two dozen people still trying to grab something last minute. We just needed gift cards but they said no. 4 employees just standing outside smoking and laughing. Odd scene.

May 7, 10:16 AM self check out 555Had the most unfriendly cashier, I question the price on the bacon because it was supposed to be on sale for 399. She came over and just looked at some numbers and call someone to get a price check. I was right so she changed the numbers and I tried to talk to her, but she just turned and walked away. Did not speak of word to me which she should’ve said sorry man for your waitAll I can say is if you have more cashiers like that, you will lose business. She needs classes on customer service.I usually don’t complain, but this really torked me off

The women’s bathroom was completely out of toilet paper and when I ask a Kroger employee for some toilet paper, she told me to use paper towels. Really? Then my Brownies should have been $0.99 but scanned at $1.99.

Service was great! Jon(?) in the meat department was super helpful and recommended & helped get meat and fish. He went above and beyond suggesting the “ready to cook” baggies and added fish, butter, spices etc. We really enjoy going to the Troy Kroger’s over Huber heights even though we live in Huber! Thank you all

This is normally the best Kroger to shop at until you're ready to check out - ONE REGISTER OPEN on a Sat morning!?!?!?🤬 I know every company is eventually going more and more to self-check and 1or 2 registers maybe open with a live person but some of us don't like that ! If I have to sacrifice quality to get out of a store quicker ie. Aldi or Save-a-Lot that's what I'm gonna have to do but I shouldn't be forced to make that choice !!

Second time in a row today, pick up order should have been ready at 6. Get the message that says it's ready for pickup, then as I'm walking out the door ... NOPE. Might be ready at 7. I absolutely get that you might be short on pickers, but I also do know that you have the capability of turning ordering off when it gets too backed up. People plan their entire evening around dinner time and it really has irritated me to the point where I am ready to go spend my thousands of dollars somewhere else.If you're using grocery pick up, allow an extra few hours for your order to be ready. I haven't had an order ready on time in months.

Tonight I needed to go to Kroger for a few things just real fast before they closed. Little did I know, that wouldn’t happen. Myself and a bunch of other customers were stopped at the door by an employee named Jasper who told us all the store was closed. It was only 10:40pm and the store closes at 11pm. The employee was standing in the door way, holding the door so no one could get in. There was a night shift employee who was trying to get in to clock in and he was trying to tell the employee who was standing in the door way to let him by and she wasn’t letting him at first and then there was a customer who was leaving the store and needed to get out so she opened the door just a tiny bit to let him by and he had to squeeze through the small space. All because they were closing the store early. Then another employee comes up to the door and yells out the door that they are closed. Everyone was so confused because we couldn’t believe someone would actually do something like this. They got what they wanted, though. We all left. I guess they just make up their own hours and close the store when they feel like they are done for the day. That’s okay. I’m absolutely never going there again. Meijer is better anyway.

Second most filthy restroom I have ever been in in my life. Smell of raw sewage hits you as you walk down the hall, and about knocks you over when you open the door. The floor was flooded with the filth oozing up from the base of the toilet, where someone had placed a roll to try and contain the mess. Pack of marlboros on the baby seat. Towel roll sitting in water on the counter, soap dispenser broken. I can't believe the health department allows this septic hell in a food establishment. I've seen gas stations with better sanitation.

This kroger is my neighborhood kroger.i used to love shopping here.F u leisa. I had interviewed for a PART. TIME. position here. just to dispense groceries and pick groceries. a job a blind deaf rat could do.i got turned down. why? because i have a child.i had the exact same availability as my cousin who applied here. the ONLY difference between the two of us? i have a son and she doesn’t. even though we both offered the EXACT same hours, she got a job offer and i didn’t. she has NO management or retail experience. i have ran an entire department for years.it seems as though i could get a lawyer and sue for discrimination based on how this Kroger runs their business.what’s entirely sad for this Kroger is how amazing of a worker i am and how they’re missing out to an extreme amount on my work ethic all because they REFUSE to follow the law and hire women with kids instead of waiting it out for a high schooler they can exploit for less taxes

Jeri (cashier) needs assistance with customer service. I would go into great detail of her poor customer service. But I'm sure it's all caught on video surveillance.2/11/24 11:34am

Don't waste your time placing a pick up from here. I live 40 minutes from the store and use them for pick up. They told me I was supposed to get a text that it would be an ADDITIONAL 1 hr 30 min wait but when I said I never got that, the worker said "A lot of people don't get them and I have no control over it."This is the second time this has happened. They do nothing to fix, just shrug at you.

7 pick up orders in a row that I have been notified 15 mins before that the pickup is delayed an hour. Either throttle your reserved times, hire more people or give up that segment of the buying public.

My first impression of this Kroger was nice! It was clean and very well stocked. I thought the gentleman at the self checkout was very friendly and had a bright smile. He greeted us immediately and told us if we needed any help then he would be glad to help us! His name was Nate. Then all of the sudden out of nowhere this older woman with blonde hair pulled him aside and in front of everyone , she began criticizing him of the way he stood! She went on and on! She also told him to keep his hands out of his pockets. I couldn’t believe she was saying this in front of customers! I thought he was amazing and made my experience a wonderful one until I witnessed such poor behavior from a manager.

Generally they do a good job. They need to be more customer ready for their early morning customers with having the items available... Just not for their afternoon and evening customers. Their Little Clinic is very nice.Update 1/28/24: They still have problems being customer ready for the early morning customers: 1) items not available, 2) their "Quick Pick" people are rude and get in the way, and 3) They do not have a checkout lane open that is being operated by one of their own employees, forcing all customers to use self checkout. For smaller shopping trips that's fine, but when I have an entire cart full? It's UNACCEPTABLE!!!Also, they need to update the software on their self checkout lanes to be able to scan items quicker!! It takes forever to scan, waiting for the scanner to be "ready" for the next item. The really sad part is that I have communicated this directly to mgmt, and guess what, it seems as though they don't care. I've been told many things, but few if anything has changed. ☹️

Don't believe for one second that when doing pickup, they give you fresh anything. We have been using pickup weekly for just shy of 3 years. During that time, we have consistently been given products that expire the next day or stuff that is literally rotten. Wait times are always outrageous. They have forgotten to load all of our stuff on several occasions, forcing me to have to turn around or make the 30-minute round-trip again. The system is always messed up or slow. No longer get an email or text letting me know what was out of stock or a list of substitutions to approve. Now, they ask us if we are aware and then tell us what was out of stock and what they substituted. They still allow you to deny substitutions; it just takes extra time now. The fact that we almost always get stuff that's about to expire really makes me think they are having these people pick old stuff on purpose to minimize losses of "stale" products. We have had stuff that had a clearance sticker due to the fact it was about to expire the next day, and to top it off, we were still charged full price. It's crazy to think that would be acceptable in anyone's mind. Below is a picture of the apples we received today. Most of them are rotten and brown. Also received two other products that expire tomorrow and the day after. With the price of everything increasing, it's sad that the quality of service is decreasing at an alarming rate. We have already started ordering everything we can from Wal-Mart as they have always been good about giving us products that are fresh. We used to shop at Kroger for higher quality produce and fresh foods. It seems Kroger has abandoned the level of standards that made them what they are today. Very disappointing that I once again will have to take time out of my day to call and get a refund for bad products.update 8/7/22Nothing has changed. We still continue to be given rotten products along with products about to expire. Today we not only were given product covered in "Reduced Price" stickers (because it expires tomorrow) but we were still charged full price and not the reduced price. It's extremely frustrating that prices are increasing what seems like weekly and now we are losing 10$ plus a week to rotten or expired products. I just spent over 30 minutes on hold to be refunded 5$. They no longer will credit you for items on a previous order. I used to just call once a month with a list and they normally gave us credit for everything. The lady today just ignored the previous orders and just handled the order from today. We have already stopped buying as much as possible from Krogers to avoid issues but some items we have no choice. There is no zero effort made to resolve the issues on a store level. Kroger is a joke now days, I still remember 5 years ago when we went out of our way to go to Kroger over Wal-Mart because they had better quality products. Now it's the opposite. Go to Wal-Mart for as much as you can. I will update this review everytime we receive rotten or expired products until a change is made.

Review is for the Floral DepartmentThey do the BEST job with flowers and balloons! We have used them for several parties, and their balloon bouquets cannot be beat. They have a great selection of colors & styles of balloon, do a nice job arranging them, give you gigantic bags to carry them out so the wind doesn't tie the lines in knots, and the prices are very reasonable. The store always has a very nice selection of fresh cut flowers, vases, etc, as well as pre-made arrangements. They are very well stocked with flowers during all holidays, even Valentine's & Mother's Day, so you can walk in last-minute & still get a nice arrangement.

I as a customer am tired of online orders taking up all the staffing! I want to be able to shop, place my items on the counter, and have YOUR EMPLOYEES ring me out! It wasn't even 7pm and they had 1 register open that claimed they were closing at 6:45pm. It's getting ridiculous. This happens all times of the day and it needs managed better.
