Really a fantastic place, especially if you're more into paperbacks or DVDs. I love that there are whole rooms upstairs, and definitely whole huge shelves of romance, Nora Roberts, loads of stuff - it's a fun selection. I also like that there are chairs around to sit down and read if you want. I was looking for something specific and didn't find it, but it's a great store if you're browsing. Plus, there is a coffee & chocolates shop next door so you can take your new book and start reading over a hot beverage. The area around it is really pretty, I walked around the courthouse and the town square has lots of restaurants and other shops - well worth an afternoon to walk around!

Cool place, nice cozy book store. Very friendly cashier tons of comics, CDs, records, books and they even have mystery bags with books in them price ranging from 50¢-10$ I got the 50¢ one it had three books in it already started one. In conclusion I'd say this is one of the best book stores in town.

A ton of books! Nice collection of comic's and a few graphic novels. Very nice employee's and are super helpful and friendly! Would highly recommend stopping by and checking it out for yourself's!

Shop local and support this awesome place! Two stories of books and they also sell movies and music. Staff is awesome and can help you find anything! Prices are great too, picked up the Dune saga for $15 today.

Great store! They have all kinds of hardback and paperback books, comic books, LPs, and so much more. Large store so it’s like a treasure hunt as you walk around. So much to see. Great prices. Ask for Mike. He’s a nice and knowledgeable guy. He’ll take care of you.

Im from out of town, but I was passing through and decided to stop and check it out. My kind of place! There are 2 stories, the horror and sci-fi sections are up stairs. Wish I had a little more time to browse but I did walk away with a cheesey Sci-fi novel (transformation, Sequel to Communion) that was on my TBR and my son found a book also. Most of the titles seemed to be on the retro side (happy about that).The store is clean and well organized and the prices were fair!!!! Staff member was nice as well!

Large selection of books. Staff very helpful, friendly and knew the authors I was looking for and the specific areas books could be located in the large store (3 floors.)

This is such a great bookstore. Whole rooms dedicated to particular genres. I could easily spend the whole day in here. Very helpful and friendly folks who are also knowledgeable. I will be returning while we are visiting, just to explore the basement for vinyl.

Wow, so many books!! The place is well organized, neat and clean! I can't imagine them not having something great for you to read. I think for used books, they're kind of pricey, but most are in good condition, so... Definitely an impressive bookstore to visit.

this book / record/ cd store was such an experience. it seems as if a college professor would shop here, it"s very eclectic, great ambience .the place is just really really wonderful you have to experience it for yourself, if you really like books and you like music you like Cd's and records is the ultimate experience for a bookstore......

In the 20+ years I've been a patron, I have never once left that store less than satisfied. Everyone in the store is nice and helpful, and they have an expansive inventory of all different sorts of media. Books, comics, blu-ray discs, dvds, video games, they even have a few vhs tapes. I couldn't possibly recommend this store highly enough! Also, for ghost enthusiasts, the building is said to be haunted.

My wife and I do a bit of traveling, from Texas to Minnesota to New England to Florida and to everywhere in-between. The one constant is locating the local used bookstores. Around About Books is what you want to see in a local bookseller. Friendly service, very reasonable pricing, a good selection of a wide variety of topics and good hours of operation. Building on previous reviews, I would say this is one bookstore that we would make sure we stop by again when in the area.

Nice store with friendly staff. Struck up a nice conversation about comic books and the Netflix/marvel Daredevil show during my checkout. The basement has quite a few records in varying condition but very reasonably priced.

I always enjoy stopping into this great store. They have a pretty good selection of comics at great prices, so if you’re looking for back issues to complete a run you should definitely check this shop out. The staff is always super friendly so that’s a huge plus! Highly recommend.

What a great used bookstore! Wide selection of all genres and ages of books. As well as DVD's, Music, and Comics. Very friendly and knowledgable staff as well. I was looking for a collection of a certain author and they guided me right to it. Within a minute of walking in I had what I was looking for. However I still had to explore the rest of the store and I'm glad I did. Very enjoyable atmosphere and experience.

The nicest people work here. Two floors full of books and mystery bags of assorted romance or sci fi. Oh and the amazing smell from the coffee shoppe next door with a connected area for reading and coffee drinking, so nice

Love this book store! Has a great selection of books, both older and newer. Staff are very knowledgeable and will look up books and info, if you ask. My family always finds good books.

This is where I buy all my books. Fantastic place, everyone is really friendly, and the selection is big, and from all ages too. I'm a Michael Crichton fan, and I buy a new book every time I finish an old one. So far, I have 7 or 8 different books by Crichton, and there are still more there I haven't read.They also have a lot of comics for you awesome geeks out there.Plus, there's a huge selection of reference books from sewing to chess, so its not just a place to find a good read, you can find books to help you with your jobs and hobbies too.

Need a book. They have it. Went hunting here for a special book many times, and never left empty handed or disappointed.Clean, organized and easy to navigate.Also a nice little selection of records, comics, movies and some video games.The only thing better then the store is the kind welcoming staff who will do their best to help you. Definitely stop in this shop.

Crazy cool place, with books shoved into every square inch of its three stories! Has its own Sci-Fi/Fantasy room, Horror room, etc., and a rack of rare paperbacks with some awesome pulp titles. TONS of $1 and $0.50 comics and graphic novels.

A great find in an unassuming place, located on the downtown strip of the small town of Troy Ohio, this shop is 3 floors (two above ground and one basement) full of books of all genres, okd videotapes, DVD's, vinyl records, and more. It also has a decent comic book selection. The cashier is friendly and really well informed. It's a hidden treasure well worth driving to Troy Ohio for.

Prices are fair and selection is good. Better than most other used book stores in the area overall. However several times I have arrived here between 10 and 11 am the store is supposed to open at 10 but often it is much closer to 11 or sometimes even later before the incompetent owner actually arrives and opens the store would advise coming here later in the day don't come too late though no matter when they open they close on time

This is my absolute favorite bookstore! I have found all of my favorite books here and I didn't have to break the bank to get them. The staff is wonderful and I enjoy visiting them just as much as I do wondering the aisles looking for my next treasure.

Neat place to find records and books from any time period. The basement is a little freaky, not very organized. You have to REALLY search for things down there of you want to find anything good. It's hit or miss depending on what you're looking for. The staff is always friendly.
