Staff are all very nice, and the store is clean and well organized. I find the items to be fairly priced. The location is easy to get to and has good parking. They do a great job and I appreciate being able to directly support the mission this way.

I have had 2 bad experiences with the Humane Society Retail Store in the last 3 months. Three months ago I purchased a steam iron with the word "tested" on the tag. I assume that means it is a working steam iron. Uh, no! No steam, iron luke warm after being plugged in for 20 minutes. I took the iron back the very next day with the store tag and price still attached. The woman who waited on me the night before was checking people out. I told her the iron wasn't working and I would like my money returned. She asked if I had the receipt (the receipt is generic, does not say it is from the store). I did not have it. She refused to take the iron back because I didn't have the receipt. She just shrugged rudely when I said, "but you waited on me yesterday and you're not willing to give me my money back for an iron that doesn't work? Really"? She more or less said, yep, store policy. She finally agreed (as the people in line behind me were listening intently to our conversation) to give me store credit, but I had to use it immediately. Let's see, the iron was a donation. It was free to the store. They weren't losing any money by returning my money for an item donated to them that didn't work. Unbelievable.Yesterday I went in looking for some items to furnish an apartment for my mother going into assisted living. I purchased a headboard for $19.00, but realized later it was not the right size. I had not picked up the headboard yet. It was still in their possession. Nope, wouldn't give me store credit or my money back, again the next day, on an item I hadn't even picked up yet. Nope. Store policy. No returns.I have donated a lot of items to this store over the years, at their old location and this location. I have also purchased a lot of items from them. Not anymore EVER. I will look for my headboards at Habitat, which does have a 30 day return policy and the money also goes to a good cause. I will donate to Habitat or Nine Lives or Good Will before I will ever donate again to this store. Sad, but as the saying goes, "don't bite the hand that feeds you", and I have been feeding them for years.I recommend you think long and hard before buying an appliance or anything that might not work for you at this store.

Very clean store and organized very well. Just have to embrace the fact this is a donation for a good cause. Because the prices in my opinion reflect a additional donation included already in price.

Tons of treasures to find here at the Toledo Humane Society thrift store. They have furniture, decorative decor, clothes, kids toys, shoes, and so much more. Definitely recommend this thrift store for hidden treasures.

If you want to support the mission of the Humane Society, I would suggest just making a direct donation. The condition of the things here I would describe as "heavily used," unfortunately the price of many items is around the same as buying the item brand new.Also, why are rugs being sold for nearly the same price of a new carpet, but they're on the ground getting even more ruined?

I Loved this place, my family and I always did shopping here. The staff is normally friendly and they normally have good prices but to be honest ever since they moved to the new place it feels like they went from thrift store with good prices to a thrift store that sells goods that is donated at retail prices.I saw them selling torn leather boots for $9.99 and dollar tree items for $2. I also asked about sales and the lady said that they would not be doing sales. I also feel like the manager went from being super nice to super rude, maybe it's because things were hectic that day or something but I literally heard her talking about me all because I asked about a product that didn't have a price tag on it. I really hope that things change.

Nasty attitudes, not that friendly. Bought a suit case and once I got to the counter one worker walking by hollered out “ you gotta open the suitcase”! It was already opened dummy, mind your business! The lady behind the register was unecessarily rude. If I ever go back, (doubt it) I will get names! Oh, prices are Rediculous, this stuff is used right? 🤷🏽‍♀️

I feel like this store would make a lot more and not be so “over full” if their staff weren’t so unfriendly and downright rude. The brunette cashier and the longer haired brunette lady that seems to be in charge of putting things on the floor are the worst. Nasty rude every time. They are horrible! It was so bad today I left my cart that was full in the middle of the store and gave some guy in line by full and half full 10 dollar off stamped cards because I’ll never go back JUST because I cannot tolerate people treating customers so poorly. Go to nine lives retail instead the employees there are absolutely friendly and helpful.

One of the best places to shop and the truth that each dime I spend here is going for the betterment of the fur babies , makes the whole experience of going there just Amazing and fulfilling.The staffs and volunteers are very helpful and nice.Kudos to Toledo Humane society for opening the thrift store and for taking care of the fur babies in every possible way ♥️♥️♥️

My daughter and I shopped here last week on Saturday, and purchased almost 100.00 worth of merchandise. We are animal lovers and choose to support the Humane Society. When we found a headphone set, we were told we could bring this item back if it did not work. (Fran was the person we talked too). We had to do this within a three day period. Which was fine. The headphones did not work. This was a 70.00 purchase!!!! When my granddaughter took them back for me on Monday, the store was closed. So my granddaughter was kind enough to try it again today. From what I understood, Fran was rude and argued with her. Fran did not except the headphones back, I'm out 70.00 dollars. I was never told that once something was purchased, no return. Fran specifically told me they could be. I would have never took a chance for that much money if a representative of the thrift store hadn't reassured me I would get a store credit if I needed to bring them back. I understand, we all have bad days. (not sure if this was the problem) but I will not shop here until this is made right. I will be calling someone else to discuss this matter. The manager Kelly is extremely rude! I can’t believe she’s the manager! If I knew how to get a hold of corporate I would call them and tell them they how she treats paying customers! Won’t be back!!

I was very happy to see a store where the profits go to animals. Unfortunately I will not be returning. They would not sell items to me because they just came in. They should not be on the floor I'd they are not for sale.

Very nice shop. No “junk”. Very nicely organized. Have a lot of space. Public restrooms are nice with toddlers. Usually can find something good every time I come!

Some treasures, but we tried to return a pair of headphones and were previously told that they would take them back. They told us to bring them back on Monday. They’re closed on Monday. We then came back on Tuesday and my sister went in to return the headphones and was talked to by Fran.Fran insisted (intensely) that they wouldn’t give us a refund and that we needed to take them back with us and talk to our parents because she didn’t trust that we knew what we were doing… after we informed her that we were told we could get our money back and drove there twice while trying (note: my sister is 23)She cried on the way home. Personally I don’t like to see any of my family members cry and I would hope no one would want to have a similar experience.So not the greatest customer service from Fran unfortunately.

This was the best thrift store I visited while in Toledo. Very clean, organized, and a nice selection. Prices were fair in general. Left with a few treasures. I'm also glad the $ goes to animals because I love my pets. The gentleman who was the cashier and wore a University of Michigan lanyard was very nice and helpful. Go Blue!

This place was great! I got a hamster sand bath tub for 5 bucks and the retail price is 30-40 dollars I will definitely be going back and looking for more items lol

Who ever makes up the prices needs to reevaluate and pay attention. Merchandise is over priced. I understand it’s for a good cause, but you shouldn’t be paying more than what it was originally priced for at the retail store, especially when you receive these items as a FREE donation 2nd hand.

This place has a wide variety of things from clothing to pet supplies, to books and kitchenware. The prices are in line with other resale shops and the cause is worthy. What's not to love? I'll be back.

Great second hand store. Clean and organized and well done visually. Bella will meet you at the door (on her four little doggy legs) but won't bother you as you shop. Great prices, proceeds go to The Humane Society. Mary rocks!

Wow ! quality items at great prices! Not the biggest selection but what they do put out is unique and in great shape. Dishes that are in great shape, board games, furniture, lamps. Doesn’t have clothes.

Extremely nice thrift store. They have furniture, knickknacks, and other house hold goods. The profits benefit the human society which is amazing. Worth the visit, you may find a new friend to take home. They have cats for adoption in store from the human society.
