This shop is amazing, and the owner goes above and beyond. All the fish I have bought there have been healthy and the plants have thrived. One of the Rosy Barbs he picked out for me is one of the most beautiful fish I've seen (and she has a wild "personality"). If you want an aquatic shop with a great selection and an owner that cares about his fish and his customers - look no further. Fish Guys is stellar. ✨️

I had to completely restart a 10 year old 100 gallon setup that had been monopolized by a grumpy Oscar. I wish I would've gotten the guys name who helped me out but he was very knowledgeable and helpful and got us setup with everything we needed. I'll be back for the fish after the tank stabilizes! The kids loved feeding the koi and turtles while we talked shop. Great experience. Thank you fish guys.

The Fish Guys carry a wide assortment of fresh water fish. The tanks are well maintained. Matt and his staff know their stuff and will give you valuable insight and advice. The fish i bought over a period of time are prospering and doing quite well. I highly recommend the Fish Guys. Two thumbs up.

I recently set up my old aquarium and I went to the Fish Guy to get fish. They have a huge selection of tropical fish, aquarium decor and any supplies you may need. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I went home with 4 angel fish and they are healthy and beautiful. I highly recommend this place. It was very out of my way but I will go back anytime I need anything. Reasonable prices.

I purchase an electric blue crayfish and did my research about their upkeep before making the purchase. Because of this simple process I didn’t need anyone’s 24 hour return policy. The fish guys continues to be the best fish store on the market!!!

Best of the 419 !!Just go in and walk around,bring a couple quarters ,feed the koi and turtles,if your not into fish they may change your mind.The crew at the fish guys are amazing !! They have everything you would need for your aquarium critters.Plants are top notch,fish are healthy and thriving , I started my tank back up , cycled for a month or so with some Photos plants in baskets on back of the tank,all the floating and planted plants and fish are from The Fish Guys. 2 weeks in and I've got baby's and more eggs from my Danios and Tetras ,even the red shrimps are carrying eggs !!!!Update 5/12/23Back in April Stopped into the shop to say hello and feed the Koi , top off my shrimp population to 12 with a couple of blue skrimp and a couple Reds and a Beautiful Pleco....Spent a while checking all the new fish !!! 2 days after we got the new take mates in found 2 new BABY skrimp !!!only got a Picture of the 1.The mama just hatched out another batch this week,Could not have done this without The Fish Guys...Thanks so much again ,,,see you soon.

I went to every store in the area looking for a brine shrimp, the only store that had it was the fish guys, the facility is very clean, the crew is very professional, so many fish and fish tanks everywhere, I definitely love the pond in front of the store with the turtles, no check out their website and they also have Instagram page. Definitely going back and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Came here after seeing all the positive reviews but honestly, couldn’t be further from my experience.Started a tank, tested the water, cycled the water, retested the water, etc and got great readings. Bought a blue electric crayfish from here, which we didn’t know at the time was pregnant. Fast forward a week and the babies all dropped off the tail and the crayfish died almost immediately after.The circle of life happens, I get that but the reason for the review is the customer support that was received when called and asked about the purchase. Never demanded a refund but instead asked if there was anything that can be done outside of the standard 24 hr policy (due to the odd circumstances) but was met with blame and arrogance.At the end of the day I’m not a professional and I prefer to support local businesses rather than big box stores, but this one will be a no go due to the lack of respect for the customers hard earned money and/or opinions.

Awesome spot! Attentive and gracious staff that greet you as you enter or leave, answered questions, and were all around kind and polite. Great store for freshwater tank fans, very refreshing to have and see such a large selection of everything for freshwater tanks, as the saltwater world is an expensive and time consuming one that most aren't willing to undertake or never will again. Very cool layout, with a huge variety of fish and plants and equipment to choose from. The Koi Pond was fantastic and is easily enough of a reason to stop in, as the koi are massive, healthy, beautiful and there's plenty of them! The Turtles that live with the koi are equally as friendly and hilarious to watch as they crawl over and onto the greedy koi for food. There is also a beautiful cockatoo named Charlie that lives in the store. He was sleeping in his cage when we got there but woke up as we were leaving and turned out to be an absolute sweetheart. The folks at the counter said he was in his mid-40s!! Very cool place, we stopped in while we passed through the area, and almost didn't stop as the neighborhood felt a bit uneasy, but we sure are glad we did stop. If we were local we would likely make this our go-to aquarium store as we need a good shop like this near us for our tank needs!

The true local business.Fish Guys are great. My lady and I went in looking to start a new small live plant fresh water aquarium and they had everything we needed.They have a great selection of fish as well as plants and all kinds of decorative items for your tanks.The best part of the shop is their subject matter expertise. Mathew took all the time I needed to answer all kinds of questions and had great recommendations when asked. He really helped us get everything we needed and armed us with all the knowledge we needed to go home and start our new tank.I had fish when I was younger but have not had a tank in 20 years and I left with knowledge about what to do to be successful.We were going to go to a chain store to get cheaper priced equipment. I am happy I went to Fish Guys first. All of the products they carry seed to be high quality. But what really made the difference was the help and knowledge that Mathew had.Leaving there we knew that we would not be as prepared nor as successful if we would have gone elsewhere.Fish Guys is my go to for Fish Friends. This small business is king of the local fish tank scene.Stop in and see what they have and see their koi pond and hanging garden. Really nice. Bring a quarter and feed the koi too. This in itself is worth stopping in for a look.

Five stars all day! Wa greeted at the door by a very pleasant and eager to help gentleman. I had questions on some species and he was thrilled to tell me about them and how I could integrate them into my tank. They look to have very fair prices and any other supplies that you would need. I originally purchased my original fish over six years ago for their site that move from central to sylvania Ave and still have most of that is a testament to the health of the fish they sell. Highly recommend for freshwater tanks. My little one loved the coi pond that this was a great experience for the whole family. She kept google eyeing the wide variety of fish they stock. Thank you again for making the hobby fun.

Best fish store in the area. We won't buy betas anywhere else. They are so colorful and clean and happy. Knowledgeable staff. Fully stocked. Good prices. Best selection of plants and cichlids that we've ever seen. We travel for over an hour to get our supplies here.

I don't know alot about fish but I do enjoy turtles. And boy was I surprised when I walked in. They have a huge koi and turtle display in the front, large very healthy yellow belly sliders, Mississippi maps and a red eared slider. All looked great. Huge selection of fish, we walked around for 30min and im pretty sure we didn't see everything due to fish at every turn. Definitely a cool place, bring quarters though so you can fees the koi / turtles!

Wonderful Fish, Wonderful People! You can truly tell they care about their store, their fish, their Parrot, and of course their customers! Always happy to help answer questions and point you in the right direction. I prefer going here to any big box store, prices are very competitive. If you are looking for shrimp...they have a great selection compared to most places( when they haven't been snached up already! Anyways here is a picture of one of my tanks with plants from here. We go there for everything fresh water related. Unsure if they have salt water very knowledgeable staff have yet to find a question they can't answer. Brought my fancy tail gold fish(jeff) in because he had red spots and the guy took one Glace and new what was wrong with him. Gave me the right meds and no joke got better with in three days. Great selection of fish to. Every thing from African chiclids to guppy to discus. Highly recommend. Bring quarters to feed the koi as well. They'll love it

The workers here are very knowledgeable and kind to people new to the fish keeping hobby. Their supply is extensive, and everyone looks very healthy. And, unlike the big box pet stores, the betta fish actually have room to swim around!
