The cashier was amazing.She told us about points you can receive for shopping.Asked a coworker to bring a package of Salisbury steaks that are the best we have ever ate.We felt welcome and the prices on your grade a meat's are wonderful.Thank you to all the employees that made our visit.

Lots of variety. Pretty good selection of sales items. Most prices are ok however some of them seem a little high to me. Their deli though would get a solid 5 stars from me. They have a killer meal deal every day 2 pieces of chicken (or 1 breast), 1 side (the selection varies, usually Mac and cheese, different types of potatoes from day to day like au Groton, or scalloped or mashed, always have French fries and their good, other sides are available from time to time I think that they add 1.50 to the price after the 1 free one. Also you get a can of Faygo pop with the meal, all this for only 3.50! One of the best deals in Toledo. Now to finish up on the store… security is a little over zealous. I was accused of trying to steal something one night! I haven’t tried to steel anything since I was 16 years old. The checkout cashiers are usually friendly and other workers seem pretty knowledgeable and helpful if your looking for something.

Loved the items sold here and it was the only place in Toledo I found sour pickles. This market feels very old fashioned like grocery stores used to be. Only problem is that its in a bad area and seems to have some theft.

And we go to this place because I didn't feel like going to another store it's local it's close. Meats have a great deal everything else is overpriced by at least 100% staff is very friendly and the people around are very friendly. A major downside is if you go to buy a lot of groceries and I mean you're going to need a ton of money if you're going to buy a lot but you have to pull your car up to the door because they have these obnoxiously tall steel posts so you cannot take the shopping carts past the front door. Other than that place is clean prices are too high staff is friendly.

They used to have delicious fried chicken, but it was terrible yesterday 2/12/24! Potato salad from the deli was okay, Mac and cheese wasn't nothing special, but the. Chicken was nasty! Stale, overly salty & all around disgusting.

I like this grocer. They have plenty of stock and cashiers waiting on customers. Decent prices and it's in close proximity to the downtown area.

Shop here for oxtails they're always fresh chicken, sometimes looks questionable beef too. Always make sure I check the date on the produce

The biggest reason for the score jwas their horrible fried chicken from the deli. The best thing about it was it was hot from the fryer. The chicken itself was very dry, and no seasoning. No taste. Even the crispy part was bad. Didn't know that was possible. Also, prices were outrageous. One sale was for 2 for 5 gatorade. Get real

OMG! It was amazing and the lady that helped my mom and myself find baby back ribs did an amazing job. She was kind, compassionate and caring. Very big local store. It’s okay if you need to grab something quick like seasonings. Produce is not very good there will be gnats sometimes and soft products. Also this store is not very vegan friendly so it doesn’t align very well regarding that. Staff is very courteous though.

I go there to get the chicken drum stick and thighs box and will continue to go there. That being said, I will never go there by myself. I went in with my 82 year old mother and there was a guy sitting where the amigos are..I assumed he was security anyway he had dropped some change on the ground and I helped him pick it up. After this, he came up to me and asked me if I was married.. I said happily for 25 years. He replied that I don't know what it is, but I'm interested. I Did Not Entertain Him, and he proceeded to stalk me throughout the store. When I was packing my groceries in my car, he said I hope I didn't upset you...I said that stalking me through the store was a bit much got in my car, and left this was a few years ago, mom has passed and I still take someone with me when I go. I have not seen him since that day.

I really like this store! Always fully stocked. Amazing fried chicken in the deli! Friendly and helpful staff. The only small drawback is that you can't take your shopping cart to your car and have to pull up to the entrance to load.

Worst store in Toledo! Prices aren't cheap either and to have to wait for the perpetual motion employees to help or check you out, you're much better going to Meijer or Kroger or Walmart!

Their produce was very good and meats were better than other grocery stores in the area. However, their prices are higher than the stores that I normally shop at. They have a great selection of smoked meats and, although I haven't tried them yet, I was told that they have fresh fried chicken at lunchtime. The employees were very friendly and helpful. They offer delivery through Instacart.

I found the store to be very clean and very organized. The meats were unbelievable the pricing along with the quality you just can't do any better in toledo. The deli the food was very good but the weight was unbelievably long! The attitude for some of the service in the deli I could not understand why they were so mean or mean acting or bitter. This would have been a five-star rating it was not for that deli help. The food was excellent the service sucked and the deli! The rest of the store was wonderful! I definitely will recommend this to others and I will be a patron in the future

Got to be the worst grocery store in Toledo PERIOD! Prices are wrong 20% of time. Please start watching. Oh yea you have to fight with them over a posted price lol smh anyways I went in today and only had 8 items. Of course line 1 wasn't open witch used to be 12 items or less. Now I'm just a white guy. Never really felt uncomfortable there. But today the head manager actually told me to leave. Over asking for a price check. They don't want to be caught robbing people of there money. Going to call 3 ABC and ask to secret shop. Or will hire someone. That place has no right to not check. Then to kick me out for asking and yes I was being a bit passionate but I believe anyone would have. In fact I kept my cool as I have been in retail management my whole life. Bottom line find somewhere else to shop.. Oh ya that head manager needs today If. Has know idea how to run a store. Unfortunately. Oh ya as Larry Taylor who left a review said. The guards are such a menace to society smh I seen the short black guy actually argue with a 60 year old man and wanted to take him out to fight lol wow. What place to shop out of all places Tharp deliver. I guess the stores cut out for certain. People.

The inside of the store is a little outdated but the selection of food and other items is adequate. The parking lot and grocery pick-up or loading area is the worst I have ever been to all over the country. There is posts and gates you have to go through to carry your items by hand to your vehicle without a cart is like going through a security check point. It's a race with your vehicle to maneuver to the loading area to get close enough so you can load your grocery. If you take a real close look at your photo you would see what I'm talking about. Only in a black neighborhood. If the owner feel they need that prison type of security then they need to hire someone to make that condition better(security). They used to and still had the posts and gates and bars. No other store or business have those obstacles in that area or the city. It's a slap in the face but we are use to it but its not right. I don't shop there but I do bring people there to shop. That's their choice not mine.

It's about always the same. Same sales, same food choices. Same layout and they've always charged more for their meat. The deals are always on the family sized. I'm an older, single woman, I don't want to have the same thing, repeatedly, just to save a few pennies. Like 3lbs of Hamburg is 12 meals or portions for me.But you can go by the deli & get a chicken dinner for $3. It's a full meal, but that line is often full. They cut off the deli @ 6.The merchandise is "Our Family", I totally feel that if it's the SAME at another store, they should have the same price. I know 4 stores within 10 minutes of each other, that all are "Our family" and the $ varies a location.At SAL, you don't save on meat.On M St., it smells bloody from meat and I rarely buy meat there, the smell turns me off.At EF's, on meat, I get the best prices. And they make up smaller packages. Plus, they will package for your needs, if it's not too

This place is in the what some people would consider the hood. They serve good hot food and you are bound to find different spices and hard to find items here. As you know some things here are on the high side but the sales are what keep you coming back for more. Either way good place to shop at.

I don't appreciate how you jacked your prices up on Thanksgiving..not cool. Besides that, I will say that when I want to cook a soul food meal. Your my go too... Idk .you jack them prices up again like you did on Thanksgiving I may have to find somewhere else to shop.

It's a decent grocery store. I like coming here, the workers are always nice to me. The problem for me are the prices. it's pretty expensive compared to places like Kroger or Walmart and it doesn't have the same selection. Although I'd rather pay more to support a locally owned business than spend money at some giant profit machine. Alas, it's in a not so great neighborhood. I only shop here because I don't currently have a vehicle and it's the closest option. On the plus side, the fresh fruit and vegetables I buy from Seaway are almost always better than the ones I get from the bigger stores. And they do have a cool little sale area in the refrigerated dairy section where I have found some really good deals on things that you wouldn't be able to get at bigger chains because they typically donate or throw items away when they're close to their sell by date. Overall, I really do enjoy shopping at Seaway but unfortunately the prices would point me in another direction if I had the option.
