This is The Place to go if you need glass cut. Speedy & accurate while you wait. Much less expensive than any big box store. Knowledgeable friendly staff who are genuinely passionate about our community & their customer service. What a breath of fresh air! And YES! Ondrus also has just about every other part & dohicky you'll need to repair or maintain your old home... Or they'll know where and whom to get it from! What a great community asset!

Great selection of hardware. They have the bolts and nuts you need. Plus many other fasteners that big box never have. Can repair window glass and screening. Great price too.Give them the business to keep them in business so we don’t need to rely on lowes,menards or Home Depot that don’t stock much in parts ,cuz they want you to buy new. Let’s not loose our neighborhood hardware guy, keep them open. Last one on east side of river.

Great, friendly service. Not as big as depot stores like Home Depot or Lowes, so a smaller selection of products. But the smaller store means that the staff really knows their store so you can tell them what you're looking for and they'll know exactly where to look, without wasting any of your time.

Started going to Ondrus as early as I can remember as a kid with my dad. Great place with an amazing atmosphere and great people. Ill drive the extra difference just to go for the memories, not including the fact they have nearly everything and can do anything. One of the last hardware stores with that hometown feel. Customer service like this doesn't exist anymore and ill continue to go there as long as they are available and will continue taking my sons there. Hopefully they continue what they do for many generations to come.

Been going here since I was a youngster. Usually with my grandmother for her vast rental property needs. Tonight I went in for my own plumbing needs and genuinely could not have been treated with a more knowledgeable and friendly staff. So helpful, because I am no plumber! lol This evening, not only did they supply me with everything I needed, but ensured I was confident I knew what I was doing before I ventured out the door. Even after all these years the kind, knowledgeable, friendly energy I remember as a kid is still alive in this hidden gem of a hardware store. The kind of place that makes you think "wow I'm happy I went there." It's places like this that keep the heart in Toledo, and I'm so grateful to the Ondrus staff for making my life so much easier tonight.

Great hometown business. Take all my window repairs there, and they have a wide variety of home repair materials. Window repair guys, and front pay desk are short with me and rarely friendly, but it is what it is....Always support local!

Got my severely water-damaged insulated window repaned/sealed here and it turned out perfect. The only other repaning place I know of quoted me at $250 and 3 weeks of lead time. I brought mine to Ondrus and they did it for $90 in one day. Friendly staff too. I wish more of these local independent hardware stores were still around.

they sold me a big piece of glass for my picture frame but i was kind of embarrassed on how cheap it was, they surely are not charging enough and getting robbed. i just hope they get enouph business to make up for it, so nice to do business with a place that is not money grubbing like the frame shops where i would’ve paid around $80 for the glass. thank you ondrus 👍👌

Needed a rectangle mirror for a small children's vanity they put it in immediately for 7.99. was asked several times while I was waiting if I had been helped. friendly check out. Even though it's in Toledo It's a Small Town atmosphere, great place.

Was told this place carried everything needed for handyman plumbing, I explained and showed them what part i needed, 5 min later I had the part, the service was good, I would go there again. The part fit perfectly, and now no more drip.

Got nuts and bolts for my car part stores didn't have them and the dealer wanted 50 just for the bolts I got nuts and bolts for 12 dollars I've only been to the store a handful of time but I always find what I need at a great price

Because I'm not drove all the way across town to find out the key I just got made did not sit so I had to drive that to get them to do it right I don't know yet because I have not came out the place with the key at to see if it work but I hope it don't work because that's gas I have to put back in my car but other than that problem right there I think y'all are good hardware store

Don't let the appearance or age of the store fool you. This is your grandfathers hardware store with expert answers. The place and service is a gem. My plumber friend Mike Petre told me about the place. I couldn't find the plumbing parts I needed at any other store in town and the big box employees couldn't find anything in their catalogs. Mr. Ondrus figured out what kind of stems I needed for my sink valves and had them shipped in. He even threw in the handles when we found out the new stems wouldn't fit the old hardware. This is my go to place now that Fleegers has to closed.
