One hour to bath and deshed an Akita, completely unrealistic!! My dog came home soaking wet with chunks of hair still falling out. Worst grooming experience ever!!! But I guess I’m lucky my dog is still alive after reading all Shelby’s reviews!!!! Then this fake chic had the audacity to call me on a Sunday and harass me about my review I have 20 years experience in the veterinary field this is by far the most childish behavior from “Professional Staff” I’ve ever dealt with!!!!

They are the best, Katrina and Shelby do wonders for our dogs. Now that we are down to one, we will still keep going to them.

Firstly I'm going to explain a little about my pup, Freya is a very hyper 1 year old German Shepard. We rescued her after being abandoned not once but twice. She had been neglected and possibly abused. This girl has issues!! That being said Toledo Pet Farm was fantastic.. I didn't receive pictures daily as requested however the ones I did get were amazing.. Freya had never been to doggy daycare so I was very concerned about her getting overwhelmed.. but the staff reassured me that she would only be allowed to join in if she passed her temperament test, and that she would be placed in a group that matched her energy level. When I picked her up, I was very late as we had some vehicle issues and the lady at the front desk was wonderful in letting me pick her up after hours for a minimal fee.. as I really missed her and couldn't wait till the next day.. Now I will say I read many reviews before bringing her, some good and some bad. No, this place is NOT Drs office clean, Yes, It definitely smells of animals, and Yes the staff doesn't spend a lot of time with you. However they prioritize your fur babies over trying to humanize the decor, They make the environment pet friendly vs eat off the floor sanitary. And if the staff is spending time with you they aren't spending time with the animals. So would I recommend TPF absolutely, ultimately my baby came home happy, healthy and completely exhausted.

Whether it’s for an emergency daycare/over night stay or a plan-ahead vacation, the Toledo PetFarm is absolutely the best place to leave your furry companion(s) when needed! I have never had a problem, the staff is always extremely friendly, and it’s close to my house. I highly recommend the Toledo PetFarm! I have three Bassett hounds!!

Our Minnie girl came back after a weekend stay happy, healthy, and tired! They even groomed her before we picked her up. Definitely choosing Toledo Pet Farm for Minnie’s next weekend boarding!

No issues with the daycare. No big processes to send your pet but just the smell of the place when you take your pet. If they can do something to fix that it would be wonderful

We've been taking our newly adopted two year old AmStaff, Velma, to the Toledo Pet Farm for daycare, boarding, and grooming. The staff is top-notch and always provide a thorough detailed report of how Velma behaved during her stay. Being a high energy dog, I was concerned with her behavior during daycare, but the staff is attentive and ensured she played respectfully with all the other dogs. The site has both an inside and outside daycare area so the weather is not an issue. Given Velma's desire to run and play, she does get considerably dirty during day care - which is to be expected when she is running around outside with a pack of dogs all day (especially during the summer). As a result, we usually opt to get her bathed before we pick her up from boarding or after taking her to daycare a couple times/week. It is super convenient to have one location for boarding/daycare and grooming! When we first got Velma, she hated baths and the blow dryer. However, the very caring staff at the Pet Farm have patiently worked with Velma so that now she *enjoys* getting groomed. They do a great job ensuring she comes home smelling and looking fantastic (and the prices are fantastic). We've been needy customers, too, with requiring medication to be administered three times a day, certain food, and leaving a collar/leash and have never had an issue. Velma is always super excited to go to the Pet Farm and is always exhausted after being there. Living a busy life with a pup is much easier thanks to the caring and dedicated staff at Toledo Pet Farm. For as long as we are in Toledo, we will continue to trust the Pet Farm to provide Velma a fun and safe home away from home.

Nice place and friendly staff....lots of room to roam around. They have a community area so your dog's and other animals can roam. Also they have a private gated area for you and your dog or other animal....

My dog stayed here for 4 nights, and I overall I was not pleased. This was his first time going to the daycare because my sitter didFall through. Someone recommended me this facility, and I thought I would give it a try, since they had no complaints. I will accept my fault on the part of sending him to stay here for 4 nights though he had not been there before. I will say the staff was pretty nice when we arrived for drop off and pick up, but when I would call to check in on him and about updates on temperament testing, I was rushed off the phone and given short answers, when I myself was not being rude at all. I could see how someone would be annoyed with me calling to check in on him once a day, but at the end of it all he is MY FUR BABY, and I wanted to be sure that he was having an enjoyable time seeing as though it was his first visit.I understand that this is a pet facility, but the cleanliness is just not there. Floors are dirty and the place is just overall a mess. Farm or not, this place was disgusting. They seem to separate the small dogs from the larger ones (which is fine) but to leave the small dogs in a narrow, short, hallway with a fan just seems a little cruel. I, myself, do have a big dog so he was “allegedly” allowed to be in the bigger area.I honestly should have cancelled my entire trip, when I asked to have a tour of the facility, and was denied. That in itself should have been a red flag. They said that they would send me pictures of him, and I never received any. When I went to pick him up (3pm) I noticed that he was not with the other dogs, but that they had to go get him from the kennels??? My question is if he passed his temperament test, why was he in the kennel when I went to pick him up?He has gone to daycare before, and I have never had the issues listed. Reason he didn’t go back to that daycare was because of the distance from my home but I would much rather make the drive than to experience what he did being there. To top it off, the staff did not realize that He was a boy until I picked him up.Long story short: facility is dirty, staff may come off nice in person but want nothing to do with you over the phone, and you honestly never know if your dog is locked up or playing.0/10

Unfortunately, Toledo Pet Farm is not what it used to be. My family has been utilizing Pet Farm for years so we felt safe leaving our dog here. Upon pick up the place reeked like feces and this was the only beginning.First red flag - we were asked at pick up if we brought his food at drop off - yes, we did. Why was that even a question? Was he fed?Second red flag - he was supposedly taken to doggy daycare but upon pick up he ran laps and laps around our yard. At any other doggy daycare he comes back completely tuckered out.Third red flag - we brought a blanket and a bone at drop off. At pick up we received solely the bone. We assume he went to the bathroom on the blanket. We have left him crates for hours and he refuses to go in his own space. So we assume he was not taken out enough to the point he had to go in his own area. They HIGHLY recommend a bath and it’s probably because your dog is covered in their own fluids.Small gripe - we paid extra for the top dog suite since we typically leave a TV on when we leave for him and the TVs at pick up were not playing anything. Seems like a rip off. Our dog was in the shelter for an extended period and gets nervous at dogs barking and barking. We thought we were doing the best thing for him paying extra add on.TLDR - it was $130 for 2 nights and easily the worst thing I’ve put my dog through. I’ll never not feel guilty about leaving the poor guy here. Find anywhere else.

The people that work there are so kind and really cares about you and your pet. I have never been to a facility that cared so much. It was so difficult putting my dog into a kennel but they made me feel at ease that she would be in their care. And she loved the employees! She will definitely be back!!!

Overall disappointed.I brought my 8month old dog here for about a week. Each day I brought him he was scared to go in. Which I know that’s because it’s new to him. But I asked multiple employees each time how he did and if he played or if he was scared the whole time and they never knew. I heard “I didn’t know he was new” “I didn’t really see him but I think he did fine” and to top it off when I brought him in for his temperament test they left him with all the small dogs (mine is 50lbs) for 2 hours and when I picked him up the lady said “I didn’t know we had a new dog today” so they didn’t even watch to see him temperament. I brought in my vet records the first day and they entered them into the computer then the second day told me they never received them. So they lost them. I also asked for a tour of the facility and they told me I had to see a manager for that. You feel like a number here. We will not be returning and we will be taking our pets elsewhere.

It can be rather hard finding people that actually enjoy what they do. However TPF staff had done an awesome job with my dogs while I was on vacation. TPF is such a wonderful place with staff that actually enjoy what they do. I will not hesitate to bring them back there one my next vacation. I’ll definitely recommend them to any and everyone with dogs!

I am here from NC to go to school until next May and needed a place for my dog Leo to go so he wouldn't be alone all day. The staff here are SUPER. They treat Leo like their own. I bring him almost every day so he can play and see his friends and he loves it. Comes home tired and is ready to go the next day. The grooming here is GREAT. She does an excellent job, as good as my groomer at home and Leo is a handful in terms of all of his fur and the fact that he's big. Thank you Pet Farm for loving my boy!

Well what can I say besides beware. Read the whole review to learn how our dog died. We have been taking our dog here for years and normally had a good experience. However, over the past year or so I feel the overall attention to detail has lacked. We left our dog for one night on 11/12 with instructions to give her a pill before bedtime. When we picked her up the pill container was returned with the pill still in it. Over thanksgiving week we dropped our dog off at Toledo Pet Farm and since they did not have space we were told Shelbie would take her home with her. Shelbie said she would take her into work with her, but come to find out that was a different place called Canine Cruisers. This is where our dog was poisoned to death after drinking out of a bucket of floor cleaning solution that was left unattended in with her. Shelbie did take responsibility for killing our dog, but unfortunately that will not bring her back. I can only hope that Toledo Pet Farm severs all business ties with this person. On paper they are not responsible for our dogs death, but they did/do employ her, thus my review here.

I have been taking my Siberian Husky here since September. At first, I was really impressed with his experience at day care. He came home tired and the staff were very friendly. Then things started to change. Toledo pet farm posts pictures on their Facebook page of the dogs in daycare. I started noticing that on several occasions he was not in any of the pictures. I didn't really pay attention to it. I also had him boarded and I was shocked to find out that he was in a cage from 4pm until 6am. That is torture for a dog especially a Husky. Due to a temporary housing change, he has been boarding for about 2 weeks. On all the occasions I have gone to visit him (at different times of day) he has been in his cage. The staff seem to have mixed reviews of his behavior. Some say he is hyper and doesn't get along with other dogs. Others say he does great. In any case, I would have appreciated a member of the staff contacting me to say that maybe this isn't the best place for him instead of taking my money and leading me to believe that my dog is being active with the others.

I have been bringing my dog Ramona to this facility for almost 2 years where I leave her for daycare and Pet grooming. The staff is always smiling and helpful and highly knowledgeable as far as dog behavior. I find their prices affordable and love how Ramona cannot get into the place fast enough. I love seeing her pictures on Facebook and enjoy the individualized care she receives. Katrina is also an awesome groomer and keep her shiny and clean! I highly recommend them to everybody who loves their dog.
