Good place for family camping. We stayed in cabin first time, liked it so much we came back as permanent campers last two years.Even with all the covid restrictions, they have lots for the kids. Our new favorite place!

The staff were very welcoming. The spot was terrific. The staff checked after we got settled if everything was okay. In addition, there was a food truck and it was delicious.

We stayed three nights, four days, beautiful grounds, and a wonderful pool. The staff were wonderful, very helpful, and pleasant. They went above and beyond to help us out. I hope we can make it again. Thank you all for your kindness and patience with us.

We checked in, gave us wrong cabin. My wife is in boot and crutches and booked cabin with ramp… have it to someone else. Cabin unclean, fridge filthy, nothing wiped down, curtains crumbled up and thrown in loft, beer caps everywhere inside and on porch, water bottles in fire pit. Then in middle of night, I feel something on my chest. Bed bug. We caught it and will be giving to management. Went to take shower, clumps of hair all over floor in bath, benches in shower not wiped down, disgusting. Very sad as we were looking forward to staying here often now that our son attends college at Tiffin …

We thought this place was going to be awesome. We got a seasonal spot. It's a nice park but no leadership and very poor communication. After getting set up we were informed by other campers that we could get a picnic table and fire provided by the campground. I went to the office/store and talked to the owner. He took my name, lot number and said he would have the table and fire provided by end of the week. Totally understandable as it was just the start of camping season and everyone was setting up. We left went back no ring and no table. A fellow camper said there were 2 on a site that was no longer needed. So we loaded it up and took it to my site. It still took 2 more weeks and multiple conversations to get the fire ring. Then memorial day the pool broke. Stuff breaks, I get it but no communication? It's going to be down until the end of June because of the pump? That's ridiculous!! On top of this we find out that the game room is being closed because kids are being disrespectful? If kids are misbehaving and tearing it up, why not find out who the parents are and handle it that way? Not close it for all the kids. That's like closing the freeway because a few people are speeding. LolAnybody wanna buy a camper and seasonal spot?

Walnut Grove has everything for everyone! Fishing enthusiasts to family fun. We loved our stay here! There were fun activities all weekend long for the kiddos and adults. Beautifully well kept sites and grounds. Felt right at home and welcomed by the staff and management:) We are already planning our next stay there!

I would give ZERO if I could! To be honest, I've been in awe of how horrendously they operate their business. I paid $2,500 for a seasonal spot. I paid that much because I was told there would be an olympic sized pool, game room, camp store, fishing, and basketball court. The pool doesnt work, they close the game room for weekends at a time, hired a band then charged to listen to them, and only keep the store open a couple hours a day. We went to get fishing worms at 1:30pm on Memorial Day and the store was closed, so fishing was out too! The owners REFUSE to acknowledge anyone who reaches out with complaints. They are crooks and it's bad enough I've had to contact an attorney to get the $2,500 back!

This campground is under new management. They are constantly improving the camping experience with wonderful changes for their people. We have a permanent site because the new management addresses any concerns promptly. We have a large family, and this place is fun. If course, the swimming pool and playground are my kiddos favorite places to be. We can't wait to try out the new volleyball courts this year!

We originally booked river sites across from the playground. There has been alot of rain lately so were moved last minute to a different location. A much less desirable location that was still not open at 3pm in the afternoon even tho checkout is at 1. So we had to wait. The fire ring and table are on the opposite side camper door and canopy. So we always had to walk around our camper to access them, unable to utilize our camper shade. We walked down to the original river spot we had booked and it was clear and dry. We could've happily camped there instead. We couldn't understand why they moved us.The pool was closed most of our trip, tho another camper convinced them to keep it open a bit longer our first day there. The arcade is way overpriced. It was closed too, but they opened it for us. We should've gotten some sort of discount or coupon. It turned into a somewhat disappointing trip, and didn't have to be that way.A few pros.. the shower house is nice. The pond is well stocked and we enjoyed fishing there. The playgrounds are nice. They need a more organized plan booking sites and less confusion. It really kinda ruined our experience. We would of course come back when the pool would be open more as well. I understand they have to do maintenance, but we were never informed at booking.

We rented a tent spot supposed to have electric and didn't. (Paid extra for electric) where they put us had no shade. Nice pool that always has a lifeguard when its open. Nice store. Good prices. They do have cabins too which are fun to rent because they have their own little pond. Fun atmosphere!

we camped for the first time here on memorial day weekend. we were giving a spot that was supposed to be a permanent spot for the weekend. we liked it so much we booked a reservation for july 4th weekend for the same spot. i called and the gentleman i spoke with said noone was going to be in that spot so we could reserve it again. july 1st came ,we went to check in and they said its a permanent spotand there was a portable deck and golf cart sitting there but no camper so needless to say we were told one thing and was made to take a spot that was far from what we wanted. the woman at the atore told me they like to book people then push them into another spot. when i told her that wasnt right she said they dont do that and i told her "you just said they did do that" she replied " in the beginning they did" so liar and bad business. i doubt we ever come back and from what ive read alot of people feel the same way.

We moved there from Tall Timbers in Port Clinton with 5 other couples. We are so pleased with the whole atmosphere. Such nice people and friendly atmosphere. My husband and j are so happy with our decision to move as are all of our friends. Great family place. Thanks for helping us make memories, Marcus and Tracie Williams.

New owners are horrible! We reserved two spots online a month prior to coming in. Before we arrived I called and asked what time would be best to check in. Ravi Desai said that our spots were not available, and that someone else came in and took them. I asked if there was any way he could at least squeeze us in on one site to share. He looked at the bookings and said there was a spot that would be able to fit my pop up and my parents 26' pull behind. I was a little frustrated, but kept my cool and was thankful to at least get a spot from Thursday until Sunday. Upon arrival, he told me that there were no spots available. I told him that I had just talked to him on the phone and he said he could squeeze us in onto a spot until Sunday. Ravi then said, "someone just came in and took your spot, they said they reserved it a year ago and they needed a spot to stay for the weekend." He went on to say that he "forgot" about our conversation and gave it to the others who came in before us. I told him he needed to make things right and find us a spot from Thursday to Sunday. He kept saying he was booked up and that there was nothing available. Finally we got into his vehicle and drove around to see if any spots were empty. We found one that was seasonal that my parents and I could share. He did say that he would have to send us to a different site on Saturday when the seasonal owners came in to camp. I was completely fine with that and said that as long as we could stay until Sunday, we would be cool with anything. Friday night came and Howard called me and said "thank you for your stay at Walnut Grove, checkout will be tomorrow (Saturday) at 1pm. I told him that he agreed that we would be able to stay until Sunday. I also reminded him that he said he would move us to a different location on Saturday. He said that someone came in and got the spot he was moving us to on Saturday. In the end, my family and I found another campgrounds to finish the weekend out in. DO NOT camp at Walnut grove, the new owner is a lier and a cheater. We did end up getting all our money back except $50 that he kept. I don't even care about the $50, its not worth fighting over. Worst owner ever, I doubt walnut grove will succeed if it continues with this management.

We have a baseball tournament is the area in June, and half our team decided to stay at this campground; if there were ANY other campgrounds in the area, we would definitely NOT be staying here (and still might not if we have a choice).First, the new owners cancelled all our reservations when they took over, and forced us to rebook (which they didn’t even clearly communicate until we called to inquire why they’d been cancelled), and we were unable to get spots together as we had before. And now, they’ve moved one of our sites EVEN AFTER we paid a “lock my site” fee. Did we pay that fee for it not to be honored then?? Not ONLY that, the new site is more expensive so they’ve charged us a difference we did not agree to, AND it is not a full hookup, which is what we had originally booked. As new owners, they have displayed EXTREMELY POOR communication and business practices from the jump!EDITED TO ADD: Our various attempts to cancel our reservations via both phone and email have gone ignored.ONE MORE EDIT: Finally got ahold of someone to cancel our reservation, and they charged us $10 per site to cancel, even though their cancellation policy clearly states if you cancel over a week out you should be granted 100% refund.

This place is so well kept and very fun to be at! I've done nothing but rave about this campground. I love coming here to relax and clear my head! The store is neat...the owners are sweet, and it's a nice little retreat.

We had a really nice time camping here. It's a pretty busy place, definitely loud at night, but the sites by the river seem like they'd be really quiet; it's almost like 2 separate campgrounds, between what's at the river and the main area. One thing that is extra awesome is their camp store actually has useful items! So often a camp store is full of overpriced, cheap toys and expensive toiletries, but everything they had was reasonably priced. There's an entire wall of ACTUAL CAMPING SUPPLIES. I see a lot of complaints about their bathrooms on here, but they seemed fine to us. You're camping, not staying at a 5 star hotel, you're gonna be fine.

If you want to go off the grid completely, no phone no internet this is the place for you!As for me, it wasn't my thing.Party place, lots not set up appropriately, and don't even bother paying the extra to make sure your lots are available, because when we got there there was a permanent camper in our prepaid lot( owner isn't to aware of available spots)Party place, not my scene but could be yours!!!Owner is friendly, but from what I can see, his money is made from permanent campers, not weekend ones. Also, do NOT try to make reservations on line availability is NOT as it appears.

Large campground with only one small shower house, which is not well maintained. Also, unlike most campgrounds, the shower house was so far away that we had to drive to it vs walking. The only bathroom in the area we camped was a porta potty, which was actually cleaner than the regular bathroom. We have camped a lot and this is definitely not the norm. Upgrades are needed at this campground before we would consider returning.

One of the employees (a woman approximately mid 20's) kept suddenly appearing wherever we were on the property and everytime it seemed like she was trying to be as close to my husband as humanly possible. At first I felt kinda bad for this girl cuz she was clearly starved for attention. My husband was uncomfortable but didn't want to hurt her feelings so we tried to be polite but short. Then on our next night she wouldn't budge from our campsite for hours and she was much more aggressive with her flirting to the point of discussing her sex life right in front of our children (3,5 and6). That's when I finally told her to leave. Her response was "fine I can just as easily take care of my own kitty". We immediately reported it to another staff member who chalked it up to her being "slow" (his words not mine). At this point the whole family was creeped out and thoroughly offended. We immediately packed up our stuff and left in the middle of the night.

These owners are clueless regarding camping. Called several times regarding our booked site and when we arrived we could not fit. The site we were moved to was so uneven. Took the 160.00 hit, due to the owners acting like they were hassled.... not.ruining my rig for your shifty camp ground.
