To be clear, this is a KOA, not a hotel. When I rate the rooms here, I refer to the sites. I have NOT stayed in their cabins. This KOA is under new ownership this year and so far it seems great. We camped here a few times last year as weekend visitors. The sites are nice, well-maintained, and reasonably private for a KOA.This year, we have returned as “permanent” campers at a dedicated site. Having camped at dozens of other places over the last several years, we did not choose this KOA as a permanent location without considerable research and discussion. The staff is immediately helpful upon arrival and keeps up a high standard of service over the entire stay. They are friendly and knowledgeable. The camp store is nicely stocked and maintained as are the amenities such as the heated pool, the swimming pond, and fishing pond. The camp site we have is nice and level enough that I was easily able to level my RV in all directions pretty quickly. We have a nice fire pit and plenty of space for my family and dogs. We are close to the nice showers and bathrooms. Though we will not likely use them often, it is nice that they are clean and available. The water, power, and sewer hookups are in good shape and I have no concerns about them.As for location, this campground seems to be pretty quiet and amongst a very wooded area. There is a small amount of gravel road leading up to the campground regardless of the direction you come in, but the road seems to be very well-maintained and has caused us no concerns so far. We like that it is isolated, but other needs are close enough if we want them. Within a few minutes, you can get to a hardware store, many food options, and other needs likely to arise when camping…especially wineries/distilleries. Lots of wineries and such are very close.Overall, this is a great KOA to visit or stay a season. I hope you and your guests are able to enjoy this area and this campground is a great place to start!

Nice place to camp. Our campsite didn't have a water spigot, though it said it did. The map was allso wrong about the positions of a few campsites. Nothing too terrible.Noteworthy details: On May 1st, the swimming pool was drained.

This was a really nice KOA. We stayed overnight during our cross country move. We had a dog run site which was a nice perk. Wish the dog run was a little more maintained. The grass in it was rather long so there were mosquitoes and my dog ended up not wanting to use it for too long. There’s also a lot of mud in places. However, My kids loved the playground and we appreciated the free self serve dog wash. The whole place was very clean and quiet and we loved the lake in the center.

So much potential, but terrible experience. We didn’t have water since 8:00PM last night. We decided to pack up and leave in the morning when the water still wasn’t on. We had no choice since we were traveling with 3 young children. I would advise not to book on a busy weekend because apparently this happens frequently. I called after hours service to report this last night and they discharged someone to fix the issue. (Clearly, they didn’t) If this is a common issue they have they shouldn’t book a full campground. So bummed our Holiday weekend was completely ruined.Message from KOA:Good morning campers! We have been receiving multiple complaints about water pressure this morning and would like to address the issue. Our campground runs on a well system. Unfortunately, our wells have run out of water this morning. This is something beyond our control, but we are monitoring the situation closely. We will provide updates as our wells begin to regenerate and water pressure returns. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and ask that everyone be mindful of their water consumption at this time.Thank you

This was our first time visiting this KOA location. We came to celebrate our kid’s birthday. The campgrounds were very clean and there was so much for the kids to do. I am personally beyond impressed with how nice the staff is! Sara went above and beyond to help us with a change in our registration last minute even though her shift was already over for the day. But everyone that works in the registration/ store was so nice and helpful. Such a great group of people. They made our stay even better with the hospitality that was shown. We can’t wait to come back .

My family and I stayed 2 nights in a glamping tent. It was fully equipped with linens/towels, very clean and organized, and the outdoor space was awesome! We had plenty of room outside and there was a lot of seating with the perfect view. There were so many great activities planned for the kids and the staff was top notch. Our daughter also loved the face painting. We were right on the fishing pond and it was so convenient and easy. The kids loved the playground, especially the gaga ball pit. We cannot wait to find time to book again. We highly recommend camping here.

Rough roads getting in, especially with a large rig. No pavement for a while getting to the KOA. It maybe a good KOA for families with kids and those who stay long. Not great for overnight stay. The site we were assigned was quite far from the entrance and the roads were not great. Pot holes and dirt roads were not ideal to travel down after a long day of driving.Check in process was fine. We got there minutes before closing so the hosts seemed rushed and pinched to get us going. The info they took down was a bit inaccurate but the host didn’t care much to update it accurately. She did, I think, begrudgingly. My biggest issue and this maybe particular to my case, so if you find you need to do laundry. Be prepared with cash for quarters.Because there was no ATM, there was no change machine at the laundry facility. and the camp hosts were closing at 5p which seems early for those traveling from far, I couldn’t get quarters for laundry which was one of the main reasons we booked this campground.I was frustrated with paying $55, but could have stayed down the road right off the exit, no potholes and unpaved roads. At Love’s Travel Center for less since the laundry wasn’t an option any longer. The camp host said they’d reopen at 9a the next day but we were leaving early. Plus even if we could stay, check out was 11a. Rushing to get quarters, walking would take 10 minutes to the front, 10 minutes back to my site, walk 5 minutes to laundry, I’m already 25 minutes into laundry time! And, then trying to get all the laundry done dump tanks pack up the rig and be ready to head out by 11a is pushing it.I would not recommend this KOA for an overnight stay for a couple, with no kids. Just not worth the $55.If you are able to stay a while or have children. It’s a beautifully maintained KOA with space and water-fun for the family. Dog friendly 🐾

Stayed in one of their glamping tents for my birthday weekend. The tent was very nice and had pretty much everything we needed and the Keurig was an awesome touch (I usually have to bring my own) the other KOA's should follow suite!! The bed was very comfy and the location of the tent was great, it looked out over the pond. The staff was awesome and very friendly. Overall it was a great stay. I'd stay here more often if they weren't always booked up (I had to book a month in advance).

GREAT place to bring the kids!!! Fun activities, lots to do.Easy access to downtown Cleveland.Shout out to Chrissy and the crew - BEST KOA staff ever. In our travels across the states we have not met a better group of people. They made the the 4th of July a fantastic celebration. The only improvement I would suggest is improved signage off the highway. Thanks for a memorable stay.

I have to say this is a beautiful campground but the staff who organizes events has no common sense. When checking in we had a balance and they could not just ring my credit card on file or let us get settled into our campsite I had to go back to my truck and ring in our balance. That started the frustration. On our reservation they charged us an extra $30 for a locked campsite when we did not have a locked campsite. So I had to get that refunded. Then gave us the wrong directions to our campsite. Then for events, my daughter wanted to do tie dye. The flyer stated tie dye at the pavilion. Went to the pavilion and was told by staff to go to the camp store to buy the shirts to do tie dye. Did that came back to the pavilion and staff just stood there and avoided to help anyone doing tie dye. Then there was a potluck at 5pm headed to the pavilion as I saw people going and sat there and waited. Staff moved the pot luck to 8pm over text and not one staff member came up to tell anyone at the pavilion I was told by another guest that it was moved. Granted it had rained but it stopped raining a half hour before the potluck was supposed to start. To make people wait to 8pm to eat is ridiculous. My stay here is not over and I'm not holding my breath for anything to come through on the koa's part. If you come here do your own thing and don't rely on the staff. Nice place to stay but staff is a joke. Also no water see below message from the office after several complaints.Good morning campers! We have been receiving multiple complaints about water pressure this morning and would like to address the issue. We are long time campers, passing through on a road trip across the U. S. Reserved two nights to get in a break from driving. Majority of reviews were very good, however, we were given a site that is nearly impossible to balance our 26 foot trailer. Took us two hours to get it balanced! Also, the nest site over has a water leak. Ours was muddy suggesting it the faucet leaks here also. Come one, KOA, rake the sites to get rid of ruts in the gravel and make sure your faucets aren’t leaking! Willing to pay much more for better camping sites!

We went here for Memorial Day. The camp staff is all WONDERFUL. The downfall was the pool was not warm or heated like we were told. When you have kiddos a pool is a big deal to them.I do also think they should get water put down on their gravel/dirt roads throughout the campground. The dust from all the golf carts was AWFUL. Other than this the campground was excellent and we would come back!

We stayed here July 4th weekend and were not told at booking that there was going to be a fireworks show on the 1st. Then, on the day of the show, the campground texted its patrons, saying the outdoor festivities were canceled and the "rainy day schedule" was the only thing going on. Then I got a text that the fireworks show WAS going to take place, but it wouldn't start until 10pm with two warning shots going at 9:45. The fireworks show started at 9:15, right as we were getting back to the camper with our dogs. My one dog got scared and took off through the campground. I was terrified trying to chase him right next to where the fireworks were being set off. I caught him, but he was shaking and trying to get away from the sound. The fireworks were being set off so close to our camper that we could hear the guys talking who were setting them off. One exploded on the ground, and we could hear them say, "Are you good? Should we keep going?" My camper and my vehicle were covered with mortar and used fireworks were pelting the windows and the roof. There were no emergency services present for this.Neither my dogs nor I signed up for a fireworks show. Had I known that I would have to worry so much about my safety and my dogs' safety, I would never have stayed here this weekend. They told us it was canceled, and then they told us it would start 45 minutes after it did. A crowded campground is no place for a fireworks display. I will not be staying here again.

We had a great stay, stocked pond, separate pond (clean) with inflatable obstacle course, play grounds, diy dog bath house... we tried to get it all in on our overnight stay. The sewer hookups were high off the ground, higher than my pipe- they could trim them down a little, but I'll make it work to stay there again.

Great experience camping with the rv at this KOA. Already booked another long weekend. Great staff, clean facility, great layout, and awesome events for the family. We absolutely loved the swimming pond with the inflatables. We are bringing the rv and renting a cabin next time to increase the experience. Also, this place is incredibly pet friendly. Highly, highly recommended you check this one out!

All of the M sites are not level or even close. We used all our leveling equipment and could not get level. Sitting at the picnic table (which had an uncomfortable warped seat) and setting up chairs on unlevel ground makes the entire trip uncomfortable. Also, there on a weekday and the patk is fairly empty with empty sites all around, and they continuously used the site next door for over nighters. Very disappointed all around.

This KOA was fantastic! It far exceeded our expectations! The deluxe cabin that we stayed in had everything we needed. It was very clean, and the shower had amazing water pressure which made showering a delight! I wish the receptacles were a little higher for our newly walking toddler, but... We loved everything about the stay!!! The pool said heated but it was on the cool side. The bounce slide and trampoline in the pond were enjoyed! --grateful they had life jackets available. Could benefit from a few larger sizes. The bounce pillow was amazing!!! The playgrounds we're nice! We enjoy hiking, but the 7 year old is accustomed to following signage, so we got lost several times without he signage. Lol. But we would not hesitate to come back and stay here again. Our cabin was nicer and cleaner than a hotel room by far!

One of, if not THE best KOA experiences we have had. My wife and I love the camping cabins and the deluxe cabins are the way to go.This campground boasts with activities and fun stuff to do. The fishing pond(s) are well stocked if you know how to catch em! (nightcrawlers =])Many sites, but all with comfortable space between them, they offer tenting sites with covered deck areas that offer a second story to sit on.Swimming pond looked clean and the trampoline well kept.Very quiet and respectful campers, albeit on a Monday. We are coming back here and will tell everyone how fantastic this park is.

Don’t stay here. They ran out of water and you couldn’t take a shower nor go to the bathroom. The bath hoses were closed. They closed the pool on Monday the Labor Day at 90 degrees and we were without a pool. No refund offered no discount for next stay nothing for the inconvenience go some place else. You will have a better timeNoteworthy details: Very expensive to stay for the holiday but the amenities sucked

We really liked our week here. The grounds were maintained nicely and the amenities were great. We really enjoyed the dog wash station, floating slide/trampoline in the swim pond and the stocked fishing pond. My 6yo son landed a 8# catfish on his first cast! Natural casing hot dogs, like Smith'sworked best for bait. What sucked was our site. A-6,7 and 8 are extremely steep and that area was very tight to park lg campers.

We have been permanent campers here for 6 years. Although (staffing) management changes occur almost yearly due to the corporate nature of the business and its seasonal demands - not a job fit for just anyone. Have seen 3 GM’s in 3 years- all with different perspectives and experience.Lack of continuity and communication continue to be a challenge (along with yearly price increases). It’s local for us- clean- and friendly.

*DO NOT STAY IN THE "T" SECTION!" We are not ones to complain, but we couldn't let this one go. We stopped here overnight. We were left to find our own spot and not escorted like most KOAs do. No signage to our T06 site. A maintenance employee noticed we needed help. Ended up having to backup our camper to get to the appropriate road. Employee helped us find our site. The site was SO uneven and full of deep puddles and mud. Took us 30 minutes to find a fairly level spot. To make matters worse, we had a huge storm go through and dump a deluge of water on us. We had the Amazon River flowing through our site. We were surrounded by water. My husband had to try and unhook everything in deep puddles/mud. When we brought this up to the person in the office, she didn't seem too concerned about it. Needless to say, we will never stay here again. There were many other sites open that were level and not full of water and mud and they put us there. Ridiculous!

This place is so awesome. Family get away- Check! Couple get away-Check! For a group of friends-Check! The staff was so nice, and by the way when I go camping I like a nice clean bathroom. The cleaning staff did an amazing job keeping the bathrooms clean! Shower and toilet in the bathrooms!!!!! Ive don't commercial cleaning and these ladies knocked it out of the park! Plus there's a sink on the side of the bathrooms so you can clean your dishes! There's a gift store/ store near the front of the camp and two pools to swim in. A covered pavilion for parties. There's a lot of RV sites and a few tent sites. We had a nice secluded tent site. A definite must go!

Beautiful park, about an hour outside of Cleveland. Lots of amenities and well maintained. HOWEVER their electrical system leaves much to be desired. When we were here during the week and the campground was pretty dead, there were no issues. Starting Friday though after people started piling in, the power kept going out. On Saturday while we were an hour away, the power was out for over 5 hours before they got it back on and we had to rush home for our dogs in the hot RV. Now, a couple hours later the power has again gone out, and apparently they are on a pump as well because the water is out too.And by the way, no emergency after hours number is in sight. It’s too bad- this place is beautiful but we would not recommend and won’t be back.
