Dr. Allen is the best vet in Athens county. He truly cares about your pets and charges fair prices for his work. I’ve always felt like my pets are safe with him. He also helped diagnose and solve another problem that my previous vet had failed to resolve. It can be a little hard to get an appointment as he is often booked solid, but he’s worth the wait.

Dr. Greg Allen and his staff have always done wonderful work my cats & dogs. I have gone to Greg for at least the last 15yrs. Dr. Allen & his staff are very knowledgeable & compassionate. We've been through a lot bladder stones, kidney stones & diabetes. When you feel your pet has come to the end & you go to Greg to have your pet euthanized, he's so very kind & compassionate with you & your pet. He understands that our pets are our childrenand, he knows it breaks our hearts as well as his heart.I would recommend Dr. Greg Allen to anyone that owns a small animal.1st pic is my Angel Baby 💞 2nd is my Daisy Mae

My only complaint is that they really need call waiting. I can call ten times in one day and get a busy tone everytime. Otherwise great affordable vet! Works with my dog even though she is a handful.Edit: Call waiting is no longer such an issue now that COVID restrictions are relaxed!

We've got two Olde English Bulldogs and two cats we take to Dr. Allen. He consistently notices small things during exams that we notice but are small enough that we don't remember to ask about like itchy bellies or scratches under the fur. It shows that he's really paying attention and giving our pets a thorough lookover. The staff are incredibly friendly too. They know our animals by name and are very sweet. We feel lucky to have Dr. Allen and his team.

This clinic is inexpensive, personable, and cares about your pet. A general checkup is around 40 dollars, and to me that screams a place that cares more about the animals than the money. They do affordable neuter and spaying, which is responsible. And offer a wide range of medicines and treatments. (: my dog loves this vet!

We've been taking our pets here for almost 20 years. The staff is very capable and caring, and Dr. Allen has a good bedside manner with the animals. He isn't too directive with his comments, so listen carefully. For example, if he says your dogs teeth are getting a lot of tartar buildup, you might need to ask when you should come in for a cleaning. That sort of thing. He is very nice, calm, and reassuring. Very pleased with the service and the rates. Highly recommend him and his clinic.

I have never had a bad experience at Allen Pet Clinic. First, they always work with my busy schedule to ensure that my cat gets into the vet as quickly as possible. There have been a few times that they have offered appointments for the next day!Next, Dr. Allen is so kind and personable. He takes time to ask questions, listen to your needs and concerns as a pet owner, and answer questions in a knowledgeable and helpful way. I've never had a better veterinarian.The prices are reasonable. I've never felt like Allen Pet Clinic unnecessarily raises prices or tries to scam customers. Honestly, even if they were a little more expensive, I would be willing to pay. I feel like I am valued as a customer and my cat is valued as a patient at this establishment.

I have a cat around 17 years old.She's not just a pet, she's an ESA, and family to me.Dr. Allen looked at her and helped her immediately. I thought she was dying over the weekend, and she had confusion and weakness. Today, is May 7,2022 and overnight no problem and playful kitty this morning.I'm forever grateful for Allen Pet Clinic. They really care as much as I do about my Mama Mia Baby.

The staff and Dr Allen are always kind and helpful. They are also knowledgeable and work so they do not do more tests on a pet that isn't needed. There is very little turnover, which makes me think Dr Allen treats his staff well. I've been going there for nearly 10 yrs now and am never disappointed with the level of care received.

Dr Allen is great guy. He cares a lot about my pets. His nurses are very nice. I took my cat to see him 2 months ago and she was so stressed out. He was very gentle with her.

Nice people, but exams can be a bit rushed. Prices are more reasonable than my previous vet. A 2021 canine exam is $42. If your pet needs urgent or emergency care, you're better off going elsewhere.

Dr. Allen and his techs have demonstrated tremendous compassion and caring for my dogs. Recently we had to euthanize our 15-year-old Sheltie. Dr. Allen cared for her standing by the backseat door of my truck so I did not have to move her. The tech climbed in the other side of the truck and petted our pup the entire time. A touching way to deal with the difficult task.

My dogs have always received good care here. It's no frills but they get the necessary care and you don't get taken with a bunch of services or charges you don't need. I moved away and the vet up here was going to charge 1200$ for what Dr. Allen charged 200$! So, I drive 2 hours to take my dogs to Dr. Allen.

I got my first kitty about two months ago. As a foreigner he was great companion. I did not have him neutered nor vaccinated until this morning because I was too nervous to take him to a vet and was not sure how it works. I am so glad I took him to Allen Pet Clinic. The bill was so much lower than what I was expecting that I called stupidly after picking him up to check if he was neutered or if the clinic forgot to charge me on that. Turned out my English was so bad that I was not able to read the bill correctly. Staffs there were very helpful and answered my questions patiently. Thank you so much!

I brought my baby cat which had been adopted 2 days ago with eye problem to Allen based on the comment that it would charge reasonable price, I thought that was true, it was not expensive as I thought. Doctor and stuffs were very friendly, one stuff at the front desk was patient, she explain her words to me for my bad English, and I didn't wait so long for the doctor. Their treats were efficiency, which helped me a lot cause I asked a friend to drive me to this clinic that I did't want her wait so long. It was a good place to bring your pets if they get problem, they will be happy to help!!

AWESOME Vet. My dogs have always gone here. The Vet Tech's are caring just as Dr. Allen is. His office is always clean and busy. Butt it never seemed to matter when I called, they always managed to get my dogs in. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else.

If I could give more stars I most definitely would. DR. Allen and his crew have always been more than caring and straight forward when I take my Pit Bull Apollo in there. Pricing for visits and operations are the best in this part of the state IMO. Have taken my Pit Bull Apollo there for going on 11 years and will continue to take future pets there. Thank you DR. Allen for all that you and your crew have done for me and Apollo.

Friendly staff, very little wait time. We had an appointment at 6 and were out the door by 6:30. What I really liked is that I didn't feel pressured to use services or testing that they offered to me. They presented information factually and I was not "dog mom shamed" as I have been at other area vets. Highly recommend.

I have taken my dog to see Dr. Allen for 3 years and he has been great! By far the best vet ever! Prices are very reasonable and the staff really cares for the animals!
