My experiences:I only tell a manager if an employee deserves a pat on the back or an 'attaboy from the boss. I normally don't waste time tattling on the lazy, rude people that work there....until I could no longer ignore the 3rd time a bag-boy reacted withsighs, "tsks," and eye rolls when I was weak from chemo & had to ask for help loading the groceries into my car! Unfortunately, the manager on duty when I called was rude and didn't seem to think it was a big deal, even though "carry-out " is still one of the baggers duties (which it definitely IS, per the corporate office). I could almost hear her eyes rolling over the phone when I suggested that baggers should automatically offer to help customers who are elderly, pregnant, or have noticeable/obvious disabilities or health issues.How dare I expect someone to do their job when they're at work!?!? 🙄 (Btw, I never asked for help when the store was busy!).2. They're constantly out of stuff.Every time I shop there, at least 2-3 things on my list are out of stock, OR no longer carried (Where did the cheaper Kroger brands of Boost/Ensure go? And the onion bagels?And no more cream filled orange Twizzlers???? WHY??? What did I do to deserve THAT cruel and unusual punishment????3. The Kroger App sucks!I know from the 2 times I was able to open it (without going through 10 minutes of screaming & swearing while trying to log in, but can't because it says myuser name and password were already registered by "someone else," then, once again, I have to call the helpline and prove that the "someone else " it's registered to is ME!!!!) that the app it is not at all user-friendly.*I realize the app issues are not Swanton Kroger's fault, but I'm blaming it on them, anyway.And4. The deli ladies look at me like I'm an idiot when I ask for GEN-oa salami (as in GENoa, Italy) instead of Gen-OH-a (as in Gen-OH-a, Ohio). My family came to the U.S. from Italy, and I pronounce it correctly.In closing,Apparently, it's okay to be substandard when you're the only game in town

I thought the mold might just be on one of the shelves, but no. They cover nearly ever one of them. I can't believe the would allow customers to purchase food that has been sitting in mold for god knows how long.Update (3 months after initial review): the mold remains on the shelves and reeks of mildew. Will be contacting local and regional government agencies to be sure someone acts on this unsanitary situation.

Always liked this Kroger it is Home Town not a super-kroger. The superstores are overwhelming so this Kroger it the one I like to shop at. The employees are helpful and friendly.

They don't have the olive bar anymore,, it's a nice small store in Swanton Ohio prices are a little higher than most places but it's very clean and organized

The new management is really bringing our Swanton Kroger down. I don’t think she has any experience as a manager and it shows. Very unfriendly and arrogant. Kroger needs to find a new manager ASAP!!!

Every time I have great service and clean store! Today was even better Josh the bagger and Sara the cashier were very helpful! Josh asked me if he could help unload my cart than went and got another one to put the items he bagged in! Having had 2 carts he took 1 to my car for me and asked if I needed help unloading!!! Above and beyond what they both needed to do! Smiling and cheerful cashier and the bagger had a smile and helpful attitude!! 😊 Came in a little Moody left feeling good! Great job!

Love my local Swanton OH Krogers until now. Rearranging the merchandise is always an adjustment but the narrow aisles with are impossible. Many of the aisles are one way traffic only. The remainder allow two carts with no way to get through especially if a click list cart is present. Unfortunately I will be driving farther to another store to avoid this frustration

The store selection was good but the bathrooms left me feeling dirty and disgusted. Pics took at 5:13pm and according to the written schedule only 13mins since a visual inspection time. If they can't keep up with the bathrooms it makes you wonder how clean the rest of the store actually is.

Tony was a rude cashier. I had my 70+ year old sister shooping. Everything she said, he was short with her. He needs to learn to be more courteous with customers, especially elderly. She didn't deserve to be treated that way.

It is a good kroger...clean and well stocked as possible with all the shortages out there now a days. It's a small town Kroger vs some big cities ones.

Used click list for the first time due to time restraints. Everything went smoothly. Very pleased. I only gave it 4 stars because after 3 times using the service, there is a $4.95 charge. Other stores do not charge this fee. I I would also like to see Kroger reinstate their senior discount..

I did curbside groceries yesterday and had the friendliest young man named, Austin bring my groceries out. Since living in Swanton, 3.5 years, I shop this Kroger often and have always had the best service, especially at checkout. Employees here seem happy and that really stands out! Its the only grocery store in town and it's a really good one!

So I had a problem with One of my husband's coworkers because she asked him about his personal s*x life and I asked to not ask him about personal stuff like that. And now the store is saying I'm not aloud on the premise because apparently if I have a problem with One of their coworkers then I have a problem with the whole corporation. But I never threatened this Girl or said anything like a threat of any sorts and now I'm not aloud on the premise ? I think this store is very unprofessional and I personally would gladly take my business elsewhere. With all the rude people in this store. They don't have respect for handicap people their rude and give dirty looks to people they don't like even though they don't know them. This store is honestly very bad and I personally will be taking this to corporate and if necessary other places as well. Because I believe this is prejudice and very unprofessional. If I could give this rude and Unprofessional store a zero star I would.

I'm a small woman with a bad back. I took 3 bags and they put everything in one bag but left out ice cream when there was 2 more bags and it is summer. I had to grab up my other 2 bags and buns that weren't put in bag my self. When I got to my car I couldn't even pick the bag up. I'm strongly thinking about shopping somewhere else

I always shop Kroger I get the best quality and prices. I am a short person who can't reach the items on the top shelves and there is always some one who will help me if needed. I feel safe shopping there anytime day or night. I always get enough points to get a discount at the gas pumps. Great people too.

I always loved our small town kroger. I went shopping yesterday and had to endure propaganda playing overhead the entire time I was inside!! Who do you as a corporation think you are to pound customers with BS regarding vaccines? Just switched to Meijer moving forward. I wasnt aware my medical decisions were any concern of Kroger!!

I use to live in Toledo and had to go to the Kroger on Jackman and Lasky which was ghetto, a mess and had terrible customer service. always rude employees, could never get the grocery pick up right, I’d have to wait forever and they would be missing things so I stopped going. I just moved to Delta so I figured I would give this Kroger a try and wow what a difference! In the pick up they are super quick, nice, professional and I havnt had any issues! Thank you for being on the ball and making grocery pick up quick, easy and convenient like it is supposed to be!

Nice produce section, lots of good deals on specials. I was happy to find organic and free range chicken. Nice beer and wine selection. And also the employees are union which I appreciate.

This is my last trip to Swanton Kroger. I normally shop between Swanton and Defiance Kroger and am here around 630am but I came later so more items would be stocked. When heading to the check out there were no registers open at 8am?! As I did my shopping there was one register open, so I was confused. I asked the male worker if any registers could be opened since my cart was full. He said no, so I used the self check out. Many other customers were very frustrated and were also forced to use self check outs. Once all the scanners were filled with customers two women finally came over and told the male worker to call someone up. I've never seen such terrible customer service in my life. I'm also 39 weeks pregnant and had my two children with me while I'm have contractions (my due date is in 4 days). Whoever these three workers were, thank you for showing how much you care about customers (woman #1 long brunette curly hair, woman #2 older woman short blonde hair, male #1 older with pink shirt, tattoos, and thin eyebrows). I will now be shopping strictly at Defiance since there is always one register open and baggers to help pregnant women with their groceries.

Kroger has never been one of my favorite places to go shopping. I've felt the prices are a little higher than other stores, but recently they have made a come back in my mind.First of all, I must say, Kroger brand food, especially their ice cream, is top notch. Clearly, for those who know me, know I am ice creams natural predator.Secondly, a few years back, Kroger in Swanton has remodeled. They did a great job. What I like the most is their new craft beer section. It has great variety and close the pharmacy so you can browse while you wait.The final and shining star has to go to their new fresh sushi stand. The lady who makes the sushi is so nice and will make what you want fresh if it isn't available. And trust me, unagi for breakfast is brilliant.

This Kroger has gone downhill in the last six months. The products that always used to be stocked are now vacant shelves and refrigerators. I've had multiple conversations with multiple managers and employees to no avail. I feel like many of the employees there are genuinely concerned, however, it is clear that management is NOT concerned in the slightest. I actually overheard a manager say, "This is the only store in Swanton, they have to shop here." Correction. I work near Spring Meadows and have plenty of other options and intend to explore them now.

Constant problems. Won't have their own brand of lemon lime soda in stock, discontinued our favorite 7 grain bread and flavor of Greek Gods yogurt. Twice my husband bought 'manager special' items that ended up being actually expired. The first time I let it go and the second time it was cashew milk I had never tried--bought only because it was manager special only to find it was more than a week past expiration the day he brought it home. I was pregnant then and was too scared to drink it. When I called and complained to manager--I think Brian was his name but that was several months ago--he acted aloof when I said they should check other products! Never offered me refund or replacement. Didn't really apologize even when I mentioned a pregnant woman nearly drank expired product from their store. The deli is a joke. They are rude and act inconvenienced by having to cut anything. The last straw was my husband nearly lost it after coming home last night from no less than 4th time deli gave him wrong order. So now I have a pack of deli turkey (ordered ham) and prepackaged turkey from the cold aisle instead of one of each. Plus the ham was ON SALE and turkey was not. They often mess up items, give us things we didn't order, lazily try to talk him into 'precut' crap they did earlier so they don't have to do it then when he says no and asks for thin but not falling apart--and then you can't get a single slice or without a mess... It seems like there has been more--a good one like 4th of July when they were selling hot dog buns in packages SAID hamburger buns, he took a photo!
