Service desk is always closed due to shortage of available cashier's. None of the employees care that you need something at the service desk, when you mention it to them they just shrug their shoulders and keep on walking. This issue happens quite often at the Sunbury Kroger's location so apparently customer service and customer satisfaction is a thing of the past. After experiencing this reoccurring problem I will no longer be shopping at Kroger.I would not even give them one star but you have to or you cannot post a review.

Had signs on the beer cooler for 10 dollars off 75 dollars or more of beer. I informed the person at the checkout that their discount was not working and went back and showed them that they had a sign on the beer cooler that said 10 dollars off 75 or more. I was telling the cashier that they had a sign on the beer cooler and should honor it and was called a drunk. This store messed up and blamed me.... An older white lady with blonde hair got in my face about it and I asked her multiple times to back off and that they were in the wrong for false advertising. She just kept calling me drunk and saying they could not honor the price they advertised on their beer because the alcohol companies set the price. Worst Kroger I have ever been too. No one who is a customer should be attacked by a manager because they messed up. 0/10 never going here again. No customer should be attacked for seeing a deal advertised and wanting to cash in on it.Edit: went back and talked to a manager today and they apologized. I bumped the rating up to 3 due to his responses.

3:30 PM Tuesday, I went to pick up a few things. I don’t shop there much and may not go back unless it’s for beer!! #1 the grocery carts all stick together, my 4th try I freed one up. Told an employee and she said the manager knows, but did nothing. #2 three employees didn’t know where any of the flavored chap stick was - aisle 36, thanks to another shopper. #3 two employees didn’t know where liquid plumber was when asked - again thanks fellow shopper - aisle 47. Really very poor customer service from top to bottom.

I purchased a 200.00 gift card for lowes, when i went to use it at lowes they said there was no money on. Lowes said i had to go back to krogers. Krogers said i had to go back to lowes. Young man at customer service would not help me. Will not shop at krogers again!!!

This store has a nasty odor coming from their chicken cooler. Whether it be one in the back or one in the front, all the chicken in the chicken cooler has a nasty smell that even gets on your hands. I spoke with a gentleman in the butcher area about it and he admitted that he was aware and that they had chicken juice run down onto a heating element or something and they had not had time to clean it. This was the last week of September 23. I got my chicken today, first week of October, with online pickup and the chicken still had the funk on it.On the floor workers are kind courteous and helpful.Management at this store and/or corporate seem inept. Countless times I've been here and they have one regular line open with a cashier and lines at all the self checkouts while one whole bank of self checkouts are closed. Why do they even close them? Make up your mind. Either switch most of the checkouts to self checkouts with belts and have 1 or 2 traditional checkouts or man the traditional checkouts with cashiers. Shoppers are either capable of self checkout or they are not. Having self checkout lanes closed makes zero sense. We've had self checkout for long enough in general retailers. Figure it out!

Everytime I shop here it's a nightmare. Seems like half the stuff I want isn't in stock. The checkout lines are horrible due to no lanes being open. Only like 1 or 2 checkouts open so I always have to do self checkout. People that work the meat counter are never there so I have to wait 15 minutes on somebody to help me. Don't even get me started with the home delivery. I would prefer driving another 10 minutes to Maxtown Westerville for the kroger or Meijer there.

Store needs longer hours. Prices for many products are high. Kroger has many tricks to get money from you. For example, a lower sale price then a few days later a higher sale price - hoping you don’t remember the lower sale price. Don’t go before closing time as they sometimes harass you with constant announcements and asking you to go check out. Staff are normally friendly and store is managed fairly well. I need to request products that this location doesn’t sell. Store can be crazy busy at times but that’s not Kroger fault.

There are some people that we come across in life that can spread joy by just simple acts of kindness and this lady did that for me. A simple trip to Kroger was turned into a positive shopping experience for my family all because the kindness this lady demonstrated towards us:) It’s refreshing to know there are still such friendly people out there especially in today’s time.

Stellar service. I’m so used to the service at the deserved negative star rating of Kroger at Polaris, that having an employee come and try to bag around me while I was bagging my own groceries blows my mind. Well worth the drive. Clean building, proper service, only issue is meat looks old. I don’t expect Kroger to ever have good looking meat. Please y’all keep doing what you are doing. Maybe your management could go mentor management at the Polaris store.

Been to this location 3 times in the last 2 weeks each time the customer service says it’s closed and won’t reopen till an unknown time. Each time it said it was open on the website and nobody could give me any idea when it would reopen

It’s the ONLY grocery store in the area so that’s the only reason I gave two stars. They either don’t have common, named brand items stocked, or they run out! Most shelves are as equally empty as they are stocked. What makes it more frustrating is they’re relatively close to the local Kroger warehouse. If I have any extra time, I go ahead and drive to the Kroger in Westerville. This Kroger sucks.

Thank you Kroger! For the first time EVER you have an employee who is directing customers to open lanes through announcement! This helps us to prepare to move towards the next open self checkout lane faster. I’m not sure if this is part of your plan but I appreciate it!! And shout out to the employee who is taking the initiative to announce the opening lanes (they have a boot on their leg (get well soon!))!! Keep up the great work!!

I love Krogers, it is affordable, they have nice selection of items, I carry my own bags everywhere, and I self checkout and go, I love Kroger's stores ❤️❤️❤️all stores is becoming self checkout and must get used to

I hate this store like poison. Never any actual cashiers. No one helps if the horrible self check out machines don’t work. Ever since the renovation this store has become useless to shop at. In addition to the constant huge lines for checkout it is guaranteed that they will be out of a least one staple item you are looking for. Even though it is the closest to me I will be driving by it to go to one of the Westerville store like Meijer since I’ll have to go there anyway to get the stuff Sunbury Kroger is out of. Worthless store, best to avoid.Update as of Feb 2023 - This is hands down the worst grocery store in the area. Unfortunately it is also the closest to my house. They are always out of at least one thing you need, usually the most important one to a recipe. They recently no longer take my prescription coverage so I had to go back to CVS, another favorite store of mine. We bought some cold cuts from the deli but when we got home noticed that the labels on our chicken and ham were saying roast beef and we had been charged over $14 a pound. When my wife called whomever she spoke to was slightly apologetic but no offer of a refund was forthcoming. My very favorite part of this kroger is how they are constantly changing the closing time of the store without warning. I drove down tonight to get something and at 10:05 PM was tugging on a locked door. All of a sudden they are closing at 10 instead of 11. Thanks for wasting my time Kroger.

I'll start by saying that I was so hopeful that with the renovation, the store would be like the one on Maxtown... But space didn't allow for it unfortunately. The store is always clean. With power surges locally, they are also very on top of making sure that nothing leaves the store that could have been compromised during an outage (I've seen other store act more slowly). While I have been inconvenienced with wait due to limited staffing, the staff there is busting their behinds and doing it maintaining a pleasant disposition. Many of the other customers are horrendous though and have lost their civility. Is this my favorite Kroger- no, but I feel they are doing a great job with what they're working with (especially with who they deal with). I think as we continue to get away from the pandemic, the store will continue to get better. Sometimes items in looking for will be out of stock, but I often find a decent alternative. I've always been able to shop for my family and leave feeling I was able to accomplish what I came for in the first place. Ive had one issue with the pickup, but after calling in and speaking to a manager, it was resolved very quickly... And the manager was super friendly to me going above and beyond. I wish I could take away half a star because I wish that they had a bit more variety, but again, they don't have the space, so can't fault what can't be controlled... So really I'm giving them 4.5 stars. Keep up the great job.

This Kroger location is nice and clean and I always shop here, but the guy in the fish department may be a bit questionable. As I'm looking through the fresh fish selection not once am I asked if I need help or wanted any fish from the counter instead he tells me there is sushi in the front, and mind you that I am a Asian American male…. I mean to me that seems pretty questionable.

This is one of the nicer Kroger's I've seen in a long time, much better than the ones in Columbus. Its larger, fully stocked, Starbucks inside, large produce and floral section. I recommend this Kroger's!

Pharmacy speaker has been broken for months. Fine. But today the window was outright closed AND the door closest to the pharmacy was also locked for some reason. So kroger made my sick self walk all the way to the main entrance and back around to the pharmacy.Then when I tried to call a manager and explain that I nearly blacked out on my extra long trek to the pharmacy nobody answered. I tried the option for manager, complaint and the operator. Nothing. Nobody answered.

Have you ever tried to drive back to a store because they marked item special deal but came out with original price? And there was no one wanted to help you with return.This morning, in the sunbury Kroger store, after I was waiting long time at the front desk, I tried to get help from three employees: first one was rude and told me they didn’t have enough people; second one told me he didn’t know who can help; I lost my patience when I talked to the third employee, then he helped me find their manager.Somehow the manager tried to ignore me because she was busy checking out. I think she let me wait on purpose.Yes, there was a sign said “money service closed”probably because they were short of people. But that doesn’t mean the whole customer service closed too.I understand “they were busy and short of employees “. There were 10 employees helping check out but no one taking care of customer service. They should know that I was there because their item sold in wrong price. Should I get my money back and an apology from them? Because they wasted my time.
