Tom and Leslie are great people. They are knowledgeable, friendly and riders themselves. I have serviced and customized 6different bikes for me and my fiancé through their shop. One of which was a custom 43cm track bike build that required Tom to do extensive research on correct parts but turned out beautiful. They always have quick turn around and fair prices/labor costs. I highly recommend them to anyone who asks me what shop to go to whether they are looking for a new bike or need theirs worked on.

My only experience has been with a phone call, but it didn’t give me much confidence in the shop. I asked about the availability of an air compressor to help seat tubeless tires. The response was that they don’t touch tubeless tires and recommended that I put tubes back in them. I’ve been setting up and running tubeless tires for four years now without a single issue, other than occasional difficulty seating the bead on initial setup. Tough to take the shop seriously with this recommendation.

I would definitely recommend this shop. Was going to go a different shop, kent cycles, but the service on the phone was horrible, dude was mean and said that the part would cost me 50 bucks. So I decided to come here instead, great workers, were quite nice and knowledgeable about the sprocket I needed to buy. Offered to order a new one or give me the used, but still really nice, sprocket I needed. Great service, recommended to everyone that owns a bike.

I took an old Trek in for a tune up. Tom called and suggested updating a functional but damaged and straitened out derailleur. We talked through the cost and his recommendations. I ended up doing the upgrade and the bike runs great. They were courteous, prompt (1 week to do the service), and they made suggestions without being pushy. I highly recommend Martys and it will now be my go to.

I purchased a bike last year, and with the purchase I was told I could bring the bike back for a free inspection within 1 year. I called to see if I needed to make an appointment for this service, and they literally hung up on me as I was asking!!! I was so shocked, I couldn’t believe it because they had been so incredibly nice when I bought my bike. I called back and someone different answered but he was also pretty rude. I will never give them my businesss again, nor will I refer them to friends and family. What a shame! The owner was so very nice and so was his wife, but unfortunately things have changed. That type of customer service is unacceptable for any business. What’s even more incredulous is that upon reading other reviews, I see this is a recurring theme with them. No thanks, you just lost not only me as a customer, but my entire family and my network of friends that I had all referred to your shop.

I took my son in for a new bike after another bike shop had given away his bike that we had left a deposit on. Needless to say he was discouraged that we would find another bike like the previous one, but the Giant bike we found at Marty’s exceeded all expectations! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the bike. She was able to answer questions for me in regards to braking, gears and which type of bike would be better to fit my sons needs. She was honest and didn’t try to push us in to a bike we didn’t need. She did all of the adjustments to fit him and spoke to my son and made it his decision, which made him feel more grownup and respected. We have bought bikes at another bike shop for years and will never return there, Marty’s has become our families new bike shop! Thank you so much for turning an awful experience in to an amazing one for me and my son!

I asked to test ride a bike before I bought it, to get a feel for the gears and with full intention to buy it, and was told "no" because of it being "wet" outside even though it was only overcast out. I wish I had a better experience.

Dissappointed.I traded a really nice Gary Fisher bike that I had for many years and The Man there was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. I purchased a entry level Giant fitness bike which seemed very nice.I kept having problems with the chain falling off so I took the bike in and a woman there seemed put out that I was having issues perhaps maybe insinuating that as a woman I may not be very capable of how to shift gears.Meanwhile chain keeps falling off.I stopped in today and they barely said Hello Very poor customer service.Its too bad because they have a nice store and great product but sadly they were not nice to me at all..I've been in retail my whole life and that is not the way to treat people.

I asked to test ride a bike and I was told I was only allowed to go on the front side walk. As I was testing the gears I noticed they were very noisy and did not sound right. My husband was with me and he used to work in a bike shop, he know how to fix bikes. He told me something was not on quite right but it was not a big deal because he could adjust it.The guy working there told me that they didn’t have time to teach me how to ride the bike correctly, looked at me and told that he thinks this is not the right bike for me took the bike out of my hands and walked inside. I was sort of shocked and confused as to what was happening. Lol I guess we offended him? I was literally going to buy the bike, but I’m glad I didn’t. Too bad the customer service is was so bad because I’d like to support small business rather then ordering online. Honestly I am still confused about his reaction.

Wife and I haven't purchased a bike in ~20 years. The staff brought us up to speed (no pun intended) to today's speed bike standards and suggested the best ride for our buck to each of us for our different needs. We wanted to do different kinds of trails, but ultimate wanted to ride together daily. They had no problem leading us in the right direction in terms of our budget, experience level, and trail types. We also got suggestions for a pump and a bike carrier for our car and even installed it for us.Great prices, knowledgeable staff, and insanely large showroom (Stow, OH). Good stuff. We'll be back for sure.

Leslie and her husband (owners) quickly helped me find suitable options for a new mountain bike. I'm 6'8" and 350+lbs and it's very difficult to find things that fit well. They answered all of my questions and presented me with a few options, which exceeded my expectations by far. I'm a happy customer and won't hesitate to come back for service on my new Giant.

The guy wouldn't let me buy a part to take my boy riding on an infant attachment. He tried to help even though he claimed it was illegal and then told me he couldn't sell it to me because I asked the bike expert a question (I thought his job was to sell stuff). Kinda weird because I thought retailers couldn't deny sales to anyone for any reason due to discrimination laws. I just know that if I had a shop that remained open when all other non-essentials were closed, I'd try to be a little more customer friendly. Good luck, I'll go to Eddys next time instead of trying to help the smaller guy.

Martys has a great selection! I had been looking for a specific model giant for a few weeks and martys is the only place that had it! The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. They weren't pushy in the least bit. I won't hesitate to buy from martys again and i will recommend them to all my friends

Owner took the time to show us the Giant series bikes an was not pushy or pressuring a sale of anything. He actually told us we might be able to rebuild the bike my wife has instead of buying a new one. Going first thing in the morning to purchase a new Giant from him. Might not be the cheapest but support your local merchants instead of buying from the internet and not having a clue who to speak with when you have a problem.

Local bikers in the area are blessed to have two major bike shops, Eddy's and Marty's. Eddy's is a great place to go if you want staff to ignore you while you browse through outrageously expensive bikes and accessories. Marty's does something a bit more unusual, they have kind, helpful, and informative staff that helps guide your purchase based on your budget, biking habits, and preferences. Marty's also has a dog on staff. Eddy's also has animals on staff because its staff is 100% jackasses.

Cant say enough good things about this shop. Had a problem with our bike and had went to another shop around the corner and they just told us we needed to replace a part for 200.00 and so we went to Marty's and they took the time to look at it, took it apart and felt they could fix it and it was only 29.00. Will recommend this shop to everyone!!!! Thank you so much for saving us so much money!!!

My husband went into this bike shop today looking for information on some bikes and the sales person who was there basically blew him off after he realized my husband wasn't interested in spending big bucks for a bike. We will never recommend this place to anyone.
