Very pleasant staff. They have added a lot of steps in their day coming to greet everybody in the parking lot. They took great care of my 13 week old puppy while I was away for 3 days.

The 1 star is for the employees who actually take care of the dogs. Horrible customer service. I dropped my dogs off Oct 27th picked up Nov 3rd. Prices went up Nov 1st. I told the lady Renaee that it would be nice to let customers know the prices are going up, especially when it is changing as my dogs are staying there. Renaee replied “Kroger does not let you know when prices go up” as a repeating customer coming back to a small business that was very unprofessional and quite upsetting as I trust you with my dogs. I called back to speak to a manger because I realized I was only supposed to be charged 2 nights of the 7 nights the new prices. Nope they charged me the new prices before it was even changed. The manager Heather was erratic from the very beginning said “that is above my pay grade” no help at all. She did say she would give my number to the owners for them to call me. I have still not received a call from the owner.

We love king Kennels!!! They always do a great job! Our pets always enjoy seeing the ladies that work there. We get our dog and cat groomed there. It's always clean and everyone is always so friendly.

They were great! This was our puppy's first time meeting other dogs. We were nervous about leaving her for 2 days. But, when we picked her up she was still her happy self and seemed to love the staff. They even sent a couple pics of our girl to help put us at ease. Would definitely recommend.

Left our 2 dogs for 7 days for the first time. Staff was friendly. Our dogs were comfortable with the staff right away. Would recommend and will use again.

We had them watch our min pin for over a week while we were on vacation. It was a lot cheaper than i thought it would be because is a small breed. The staff was professional and friendly.Tldr- they were cheap and we got the dog back alive and well. :-)

I am sorry I have to give a bad review, but feel that it is necessary.We came to Springfield to visit and had to stay where dogs weren't allowed.After reading the positive reviews and the close proximity, we boarded our yorkie at King Kennels.When we picked her up 3 days later and got to the car, we realized she was filthy and smelled. Her dog bed was also filthy and soaking wet. Obviously they use shredded newspaper as bedding and just hose out the pens to clean them.Since we were traveling, we had to find the nearest Walmart and buy a new dry dog bed, doggie wipes to give her a quick bath and regular shampoo to bathe her that evening.Needless to say, we we're very dissatisfied and don't want this to happen to another animal.
