We always enjoy eating here. Great pizza with a thin crispy crust. They do have wings and other things but we always end up getting pizza, next time we'll try something else maybe but it's hard to not go for the pizza!They are always friendly and it's always been clean. We definitely recommend Purple Monkey 👍

Ordered the Buffalo Chicken pizza with extra cheese, chicken and sauce. When we got it home, realized that it was partially cooked and the unmelted cheese looked like pieces of corn. They asked us to drive back 30 mins round trip so they could make us a new pizza. We asked if they could compensate us on our next order and we were told "no". Also, they said that because we ordered extra topping we should have told them to cook it "well done" - but really shouldn't they know it needs to cook longer?...the least they could do is melt the cheese. I have photos of this $29 pizza. We have spent less $$ for much better pizza. Never again! I would post the photos on here, if I could. They are, however, posted to Google maps under the photo section of Purple Monkey, towards the bottom.Like my husband said " we won't be ordering anything from them "well done", we'll go someplace where it's "done well".

Great Place to stop if you happen to be in South Charleston, especially for cyclists navigating the Ohio to Erie Trail. As a Columbus resident, this place is 35 miles from my home cycling on the Prairie Grass Trail. It is nice to be able to stop and get a Pizza or a Calzone for reenergizing yourself after putting the miles in pedaling. The only caveat is they are only open six hours each day 3 o' clock in the afternoon until 9 o' clock at night. If you arrive in South Charleston at Noon, or at 10 at night on a long return bike ride, No pizza.

For a few years we stopped loving the food, but they have really done a good job in the past few months with improvements. The pizzas and sandwiches are delicious again and the ingredients being used are of good quality! I do miss their selection of Hershey's ice cream and milkshakes though.

I've had pizza here twice so far. The crust is very unique and flavorful. You could say it pops your taste buds to life. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend this spot.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian pizza, Stromboli and saladsParking: There are a few parking spots outside on the corner and across the street.Kid-friendliness: It's a small place. This is one of the best local pizza spots. The restaurant is in an old house, situated a block from Route 41 and a block from the bike path. We especially like the original thin crust with salt. They also offer a thicker hand tossed pizza. They are generous with toppings and prices are quite reasonable...in fact cheap in comparison to big city prices. They also have subs and salads. Online ordering makes pick up easy. They offer a water bottle fill station and hand dipped Hershey's ice cream as well. One of our favorites!

This is our favorite pizza place! It is so cute and old fashioned. Their classic pepperoni is the best. The people who work their are always so nice. Love the area too!

Boneless pizza was really good, not sure sure what was up with all the hanging monkeys though. I think my brothers pizza bowl was just microwaved hotdogs and cheese but he seemed to enjoy it! I also had a Mountain Dew and let me tell you, that’s the best one I’ve ever had. Thanks purple monkey!

We drove about 35 minutes to go to The Purple Monkey. If it was in our neighborhood, I'd definitely go again. I probably won't drive that far for it again.Kid-friendliness: A couple game machines are there to entertain kiddos.

We order from here regularly and are never disappointed in our service. The staff is always incredibly friendly, food is fresh, and the quality is always perfect! As regulars, we have tried nearly everything on the menu (except the subs) and can honestly say everything is excellent!Perfect stop in the summer - they have Hershey’s ice cream. ❤️

Been everywhere trying pizzas. Even own my own pizza shop in Southeast Kansas and Purple Monkey is the best pizza I have ever had. The salty crust is amazing.

Stopped here for lunch while riding on the Ohio to Erie trail. So glad we did! Our group all ordered sandwiches and they were delicious. Warm bread was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. I had the chicken bacon ranch and it was very good. The staff was really friendly, and even gave us suggestions for where to go to get coffee since they didn't have it. Highly recommend. Would definitely stop here again if I'm in the area.

We really enjoy going to Purple Monkey. They have reasonable prices and many items to choose from, even ice cream. The employees are nice and you don't have to wait long for your food. Their pizza is GREAT! I would go every day if I had the money!!

Great, locally owned pizza place. I actually prefer their pizza over some of the major chains like Little Caesars or LaRosas. They lightly salt the bottom of their crust which, wouldn't seem like a big deal, but it takes the pizza to a whole other level.

Fantastic little pizza place with some delicious thin crust pizza. I like their taco pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza especially. They've also got some good subs as well. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

The pizza here is amazing especially the cheese! They also do excellent soft serve. If you're a biker going along the trail this is a great stop. They also have a claw machine, jukebox and a pinball machine.

This is a good hometown pizza place. The food is good, affordable and the staff is very friendly. It can get pretty packed due to the size and limited seating but overall is worth the wait.

Not only do they NOT require face masks for their employees but also their customers!! My biggest problem was the girl making my pizza didn't even have gloves on. I work in the food industry and I know for a fact that when handling food gloves are REQUIRED!

Order was very skimpy on condiments, when I requested more, one of the cooks got nasty, they charged 2.60 more for gravy & peppers that was already supposed to be on the sandwich. It was my 1st AND LAST time at this establishment!
