Its alright. I shop there frequently. All the workers there are nice. They have some exotic animals, like tarantulas, snakes, reptiles. I got one tarantula there, when i bought it they weren't taking the best care of them. They had a terrestrial tarantula in a tall tank, where it can easily fall and rupture its abdomen. They were also overfeeding it. And she only had 7 legs. They still have their tarantulas in enclosures too large, but they're not overfeeding them as much. Its a little expensive there. If I don't need the stuff immeadeatly, Ill buy it online, but its cool to go in, see the animals.

I went in to look for a specific med for my dogs(my baby boys). The lady who was in the store that assumed I would be looking for the most expensive product. She clearly stated to me that if I were not willing to pay the price then I obviously didn't love my pets as much as I said I did and she was allowed to say that simply because the store is going out of business. Apparently she is also allowed to speak her personal business on her personal phone and ignore the customers. If this is reminiscent of the kind of customer service when you were not going out of business I am honestly not surprised by the fact that you are. FYI It was my first time ever going in there, however, I have called multiple times and was not impressed with the service over the phone either.

No longer like this store, I worked there for over 5 years and loved how it was then. Now all it offers is dog food and toys. They took away most of the fish and all salt water. They don't carry but very little reptiles anymore the whole store is basically all products not even a pet store no more. The employees aren't even educated in the products or animals and soon as you walk into the door they are constantly up your ass trying to push sales just so frustrating. They basically have nothing to offer less you want to spend 3x the amount it is worth.

Decent fish selection, except that half were listed as not currently available for sale, and the other half were covered in ick. Also noticed a fair amount of droppings in the hamster cages. Maybe avoid if you're looking for live animals? They don't seem to know how to take care of them.

Highly recommend. The groomer was fast and took care of our dog. It took her an hour to shave, shampoo, and cut his nails when it usually takes me like 2.5-3 hours. Wish I could upload pictures to show the before and after grooming. Bringing our husky in on Saturday.

Purchased a hamster from there about a year & a half ago & stop in occasionally for bedding, chew toys & food. Staff is always friendly & helpful. Will be purchasing our new hamster from there as well since our current one is nearing the end of its life expectancy 🙁

super convenient and the staff are always nice to talk to. animals are well-taken care of, the birds are calm and not aggresive, and they have a nice variety of toys. its a little hard to find toys that dont squeak though, (my dog freaks out at squeaky sounds) and they never seem to have cuttle bones for birds lol

First off, I've been here once, and I'm not a huge patron of pet shops. That being said, it wasn't a bad experience.My reason for the 4 stars is that I found that items there are more expensive than I can find on Amazon, and when it comes to options for Hermit Crabs, they are slightly limited.That is correct, the reason I visit this location was to purchase accessories for a hermit crab that Santa hauled down the chimney for my kids. His name is Hermie-Claus. (I wish Santa had asked us first).BTW, you can buy hermit crabs, birds, lizards, fish, rodents, ferrets and felines, and more!Anyway, the place seemed clean, the animals were content, and the workers were pleasant and very helpful. Although, I must say the one sales associate I met was not very well versed in the needs of hermit crab habitats (Thankfully, these details are no mystery to the geniuses over at Google. Perhaps they themselves are hermits?).Speaking of clean, it also looks like they have a fancy pet-spa for Spot to get spiffed up, declawed, and de-stinked (for a few hours at least.)All in all, it was a fine experience, and I would recommend this shop.

For a small store they have a great selection of better quality pet food and a good variety of accessories. The staff are always friendly and welcome my service animals with a smile, cute comment and a treat for them.

Been going here for roughly 1 and a half years....great service and staff is super. Prices are high but our dog loves going there. As long as they treat our dog great, we'll a continue to shop there.

Pet valu is an amazing place where the staff is quite educated on animals and their needs.. They also go out of their way to help feed animals at local rescues.. And do not sell puppy mill dogs!! Love them!!

Everytime I go to buy fish from there half not for sale and the other half is covered in ik. Bought fish from here and all have died started buying from different company and have had no problems at all wouldn't recommend buying fish from here go to lima or Springfield to buy fish

Love this store. But when you call with a question and person in fish dept is busy, they will take your name and number but never call back. Otherwise the place is great.

Pricy...and sometimes have what we need. We still like going in there and looking around though. We have about a 80% success rate on their fish. Most items we can find online cheaper.

Rude managers and associates. Poor customer service to a potential "big spender" coming from someone who raises animals, they could of gained a new frequent client and lost that chance by having poor attitudes

Worst experience ever!!! Went twice to this place to look at a guinnipig and the lady heard us talking about buying it multiple times and the second time went to purchase it and got everything picked out and later then told us it wasnt available with an attitude and told us there was a sign on it but not a sign in sight she was so rude about it
