They have a good selection of lights, but this store won't do price matching with their competitors. Definitely go to Lowe's if something is cheaper there because this store won't match the price.Lowe's is also more generous with price matching. If a competitor has the same item for less money, they'll match the price.

Fred, back in the hardware department could not have been more help in helping us design and pick out all the material needed for our closet system. If you’re ever in need of something he goes above and beyond. Nick was also of great assistance and helping us load everything into my way to small vehicle. I tried to order a fan online that was not available in any of the stores near me and had a 2 month lead time on the website. After several attempts Jordan from the Sydney delivery location stepped up and went above and beyond to help me and make sure that I got my fan. This was definitely the best customer service that I have had in a very long time!

I bought a section had it delivered and it arrived damaged they have been very little help on the situation and have insisted I must figure out how to return a item on my own for a refund and I only had it delivered because I don't have a way to transport it. I will never ever shop there again and I wouldn't recommend having the deliver

You can tell you are getting older when you enjoy going to the hardware store. This place is awesome on prices. Our favorite part of the store is the watkins seasonings they have and the deals they always have in the freezer in the back.

Poor customer service. I ordered 2 kayaks on line. I arrived to pick up the department manager came out and threw the kayaks on the back of the truck. This was a very windy day and I struggled for 20 minutes to strap it down. It would have taken a couple of minutes for him to help me strap it down. As I was looking at the kayaks I noticed they were not the right ones. I went back inside and they said yep they are wrong and we don’t have yours. They offered a refund which I felt was unacceptable. I had driven 30 minutes to pick them up and wrestle with tying them down for 20 minutes. I located the correct kayaks at 2 other store and asked them to ship them to me. They said they couldn’t do that. The manager did say if I paid for the shipping ($400) he would give me a $400 in store credit. I declined, I felt they should pay for the shipping, it wasn’t my fault they pulled the wrong item. I also have no desire to spend another dime in their store after the way I was treated. Do yourself a favor and go next door to Lowe’s! I was greeted with a friendly hello and helpful people in each department I visited.

Awful experience. On 1/25 I purchased an upright freezer for $600 plus $90 delivery fee. Chose delivery date for 1/27. The email said they would contact me within 24 hours. They didn’t email, so on 1/27 (day of delivery) I called them and asked when to expect them to arrive. They said they couldn’t do it today and it would be tomorrow. My wife was already home from work and waiting on them. They said they could do it tomorrow (1/28). So on 1/28 they call my wife and they told her they won’t be able to bring it into the house. She told them she had no way to get it inside. We need a dolly to get it into the basement. So I called them and asked to talk to a manager. They said the best they could do is leave it in a garage. We don’t have a garage. So I said you will leave it on the sidewalk or in the grass and the guy said yes. I asked him what the $90 delivery fee was for, as we only live 1.5 miles from the store. Won’t even bring it inside and expect me to pay $90 to drop it on the sidewalk. So I told them I’d like to cancel my order and called Lowe’s to order one. Lowe’s will deliver for free and place it where you want it inside the house, not the sidewalk. Looks like I will be shopping at Lowe’s even more than menards now.

Very clean well organized store. Every employee greeted us as we walked by. Assistant Manger in pickup and delivery retrieved a cabinet for us quickly and was very friendly.

The staff was helpful. Like any large store the friendliness and helpfulness varies from staff member to staff member but overall it was a very pleasant shopping experience. I was impressed that they hire the handicapped for customer service. The selection of products is good and the prices are competitive. They offer frequent specials such as their 11% off everything in the store special that runs frequently. What I dislike as an older shopper is having to go out, get in my vehicle, drive through a security gate, find someone else to help find merchandise, load up and drive back through a security checkpoint. Not as convenient as some lumber operations.

Harlan went above & beyond this week (week of Memorial Day 2022). He helped try to get me resolution for a hard wired kitchen light (above the sink), when it didn't appear to work, there were no more at Sidney's location, due to being a clearance. I already had the light casing mounted! He really put time & thought into how to get this resolved quickly. What he doesn't know, I've worked retail several places & his attitude is awesome! He actually made it "his" problem to get it figured out. It ended up the light finally worked. I called him to let him know! Excellent customer service! Menard's: You need to keep this young man! Thank you Harlan!

Very nice shopping trip. We were looking at a 51" infrared space heater. They still had it in stock, an older gentleman helped us get a cart and loaded it. Quick check out. A young employee pushed it to the car and loaded it. All was great as usual.

I luv this store. Their guest service is impeccable. I love the music except in so many departments you can't hear it because of the HVAC system; so of course I want it louder. They say if it's too loud then you're too old.

Store 3216 April10,2021 2:47pm register #3 employee Kathy.Very snippy from the beginning of our purchase. First comment was to not remove the plants from the cart very agitated and obvious to myself and my husband then Kathy goes on to say don’t put the plants on the belt because they would tip and then that wouldn’t do anyone any good very sternly and proceeded to yank the bill from my husband’s hand. At this point I let her know she was very rude and she says she was trying to be funny. I said there was nothing funny about her behavior from the minute we arrived and her reply was insisting she was trying to be funny. I ended up asking her to just please complete her job and finish our transaction. She literally said excuse me making me repeat just do your job. No one was as at the counter by the rebates because my husband wanted to report it before leaving the store. Tom from the building department was an absolute pleasure to work with and has the exact personality for assisting the public. Sadly my one star had the chance to be much higher until the crossing paths with the wrong person running a register on the way out.

Always clean, always helpful employees to be found, great seasonal areas and pretty easy to find what you want. Definitely my preferred place to shop for home and garden. The only downfall is their appliances section. You lose a whole star for that guys...sorry but your selection and help is super underwhelming there.

Cashier Kathy must like arguing with customers. Won't be back. Returned my items. Yelled and screamed at me AND her boss, because I put cat food on the conveyer belt.. ?????????? Told me she could not lift the 20 lb bag, Told her thats ok, id lift it for her, she got angry, started slamming my cart over and over while yelling and flipping out because I put it on the belt... (Same issues as below on another customer review).. conveyor belts must trigger this person.Note to menards,, she's now your liability after you being made aware of her issues online by me and others and me filing a complaint... They reviewed the video on her.. saw what happened, hopefully they deal with her before she flips and attacks someone. I think the customer service desks persons name was Elizabeth and she was very kind and apologized. Manager at the time didn't seem too concerned, but think his district manager reviewed the tape also.

Have only been in this store a handful of times in the last two years.Our bedroom heater broke, so we needed to replace same day because its the middle of winter and we have a family to keep warm. Found the electric fireplace we wanted, waited an hour to find out they only had a floor model. We were willing to purchase floor model with some kind of an open box discount as we have purchased floor models in the past pellet stove ($1300) and it be broken when getting home. Had to end up driving ALL the way to Tipp City, where a kind soul who only had a floor model as well was willing to give us an open box discount. We purchased said fireplace and are pleased with TIPP CITY menards customer service.Its like a fast food chain, guy acted like it was gonna come out of his paycheck to give us a discount. We wont be back. And thank you Sidney menards as to why we ALWAYS shop lowes or home depot.

Thanks so much Menards, bought and paid for a refrigerator, went to pick it up to find out that it was supposedly sold out. Had plenty in stock when we paid for it and then told the last one was sold right before our transaction went through. Not buying it told them to reimburse me. Told us we could pick one up in Tipp City. Not a happy person right now,if you didn't have should have been told right then and there.

We have been doing a lot of business and spent a lot of money working on a house new kitchen and bath. The kitchen cabinets don't come with very good directions your better off watching utube videos. We were missing 2 cabinet doors and when we went to get them were treated very badly by Randall who also was the one who sold us cabinets and never told us that we had to put them together all he want to do that day was hurry and get rid of us. He told my husband that he had to watch the video before he could give him the doors like he was asking for something we didn't pay for. So almost a day later he calls and is really nice and says come get your doors so now another trip back to pick them,up because they screwed up really.

Excellent stock selection. Only a few items with a much better prices.The on hand stock is what makes the difference. I know no one can stock everything.Menards comes close on home improvement items plus they have some extra attractions.
