This camp is so well maintained! This is family owned and operated and they do a great job!! 2 playgrounds 2 large jump pads, paddle boats, pedal cars and mini golf!! Great restaurant and the camp store has it all! Even som adult pops! Very quite location! Nice big sites!! Very level hardly had to level at our site. We had a patio site and it came with a grill and great furniture! The dog park is nice and away from the campers. The staff was very nice and helpful! The camp is close to my mom so we will definitely make this camp a ever year stop!

It was our first time camping here & it was a great experience! Upon arrival, they have a worker guide you to your site by following them on a golf cart which made for a no-hassle experience when looking for your spot. When we got to our site, we decided we wanted to switch sites for a bigger yard for our dog & luckily they had one available & were very accommodating! I thought the prices inside of their store were very reasonable as well! I was expecting the prices to be jacked up but they weren’t! There are a lot of free activities to do which was a lot of fun! The shower house was clean & I noticed they cleaned it very regularly throughout the day! The little ice cream shop/mini restaurant was adorable & reasonably priced as well! They would also deliver firewood straight to your site when ordered so you didn’t have to carry it there! They also regularly picked up the trash left by your camper so we didn’t have to dump it ourselves! The staff was very kind & knowledgeable. It was a great way to spend a mini family vacation! We will definitely be returning!

This was our first visit first thing we noticed was how well taken care of this campground is! The flowers and ferns hanging from the buildings are beautiful! They had so much planned for the kids and we love that the bikes, boats, and jumping pillows are included! We do however wish the events lasted longer we got to one 10 mins late and they were already cleaning up. The morning office ladies could be nicer and keep their unnecessary comments to themselves. The young staff in the cafe are amazing and so sweet! The bathrooms were also clean. They are doing upgrades and building a new bathroom also another pool and splash pad we can't wait to see next summer!Food & drinks: Cafe is decently priced and the food is good!

The Shelby-Mansfield KOA was my first place of work. I worked there during my high school summers which happened to be the first couple years of Wagon Wheel Campground’s transition to a KOA franchise. I learned SO much between all the tasks we were responsible for and the standard of service, cleanliness, and overall experience we were taught to strive for. Owners Garry & Vicki Cole and manager Amy were the driving force behind it all. You won’t find owners anywhere that put in more hours, more hard work, and most of all the CARE into their campground and experience of its guests than Garry & Vicki!Being able to experience this campground from the camper’s perspective after a *few* more years of growth, all I can say is WOW. Our five kids stayed busy, excited, and active the ENTIRE weekend, and the best part of it was: we didn’t have to do the entertaining! The countless amenities, planned activities, store, food options, etc. were just awesome. Details like Vicki’s red geraniums everywhere and the sparkling-clean bathrooms haven’t changed, but the growth across every other aspect is just incredible to see. The kids can’t wait to go back, and neither can I! It’s the best family trip we’ve had so far and it’s in Crawford County’s own backyard!I don’t care how CLOSE or how FAR you live, do your family a favor and book some time here! It’s an award-winning campground for a reason, and a very easy hour drive from Columbus!Nearby activities: We didn't have to leave the campground once with all the included amenities and activities they offered!Safety: Secluded, country campground. There was always someone nearby with a yellow STAFF shirt, and we always felt safe!Walkability: We took nightly walks around the campground with our dogs, and even took them to the dog park with agility equipment. The kids could walk to everything as well. It's not one of those campgrounds that require a golf cart to get everywhere.Food & drinks: Full menu at their "Kafe" which saved us from having to prepare a couple of meals. The store also had every camping food you could need (or forgot to pack) which was awesome.

We love this place. Located in the middle of a huge bean field. But don’t let that fool you. The many cabins are placed all over the place. Most in wooded areas and so adorable. Two ponds one for paddle boats and one for fishing. We were in the newer section with many pull thru sites. The trees there are small but growing nicely. We stayed at a patio site. An absolutely beautiful place. Well kept up and very cleanNoteworthy details: The main store has so much stuff in it. Just about anything you’d need

The sites are nice, clean and spaced well. One of the things my kids were most excited about was the swimming pool and we were quickly disappointed.. with multiple parents going into the gift shop to buy nets to clean out the overwhelming amount of bugs and debris.. my son got out of the pool and had three flies stuck to his face. We had family from out of state that went with us and I was rather embarrassed. The front desk staff was friendly and when we brought it to their attention and said that they would quickly address it but it took over an hour for someone to finally come out to clean the traps that were full of bees flies and more. Even when someone finally came out to clean all they did was clean out the traps they did not make an attempt to clean anything else. The vives at this campground we’re not positive either I didn’t feel like people were near as friendly like other campgrounds we’ve been to where everybody seems to say hi and shoot you a smile ..Compared to other campgrounds we’ve been to this place was priced high for what it was.. do not recommend. We will not be back.

This was a very nice camping resort. Very clean, nice cabins, very friendly & helpful staff. When I arrived a staff member in a golf cart showed me where our cabin was instead of giving directions. Many things like putting putt & paddle boats are included. Very kind & family oriented but they also have adult activities like Wine BINGO on Saturday night. I would & already have recommended this place to friends.Food & drinks: They have good breakfast sandwiches at the cafe & a fantastic blackberry merlot slushie at the check in office for sale.

This was a return trip with Grand kids. Stayed last year and they said they wanted to come back. Lots for them to do, multiple types of playground equipment at play areas, pedal cars, putt putt golf. They especially liked the fishing and ice cream. Definetly on the agenda for next years trip to stay again. Folks working here are great, Friendly and helpful.

We hoped for a great weekend of camping rain or shine. We live in Ohio and we know we can never depend on a forecast. We figured if it rained we could at least hang out in our screen tent and play board games with our kiddos. That wasn't possible since our site flooded. We had water that covered our feet flowing in and water in our tent. Our site wasn't the only one as others were seeking relocation. They relocated us, but didn't ask us how long our stay was or check to see if anyone was going to be checking in on the site they moved us too. By the time we got settled into our new site, we missed some of the scheduled events that were going on that day, which was very disappointing. Then when we went back up to the front desk to tell them we were settled and to update everything they said we may have to move again because someone had locked in that site for the next day! I told them absolutely not as we were scheduled for 2 more days. They finally worked something out to where we could stay. Didn't offer any kind of accommodation for the inconvenience of their site flooding or for the time we spent moving everything. This place is expensive just to tent camp, then on top of that they Nickel and Dime ya for some the activities that honestly shouldn't cost anything. I will say the adult/older staff were helpful and kind. The younger staff not so much. Candy Bar Bingo the young guy was rude and he also made inappropriate jokes with kids playing. It made the experience not fun at all. The girls in the Wagon Wheel Kafe treat it like it's their social hour instead of getting orders out, which delayed our entire day as we sat there waiting almost an hour to only receive a messed up order . When my husband told them they just laughed about it and said ok, then walked away. They didn't tell him if they were fixing it or just bringing the part that was missing..... When she finally did bring my new breakfast sandwich it was sitting in water from the egg. They aren't trained and there wasn't an adult in site to help them. Since we had one last nice day we decided to try to fit in as much as possible. We were hoping to do the motorized boats that are advertised on their site and when we asked they said "oh, yeah we don't have those anymore". When you go to a place like this and pay the amount of money we did and then they don't have what they advertised it so disappointing. They also don't enforce their quiet time 11pm -8am. I honestly think hearing people carrying on loudly till midnight is to be expected at a campground, but to have a group of people cackling and partying till 230am was a little ridiculous for 2 nights. It was a disappointing expensive trip. It is NOT worth the cost.Food & drinks: Food was expensive freezer food made by highschool kids with no supervision.

The resort nickel and dimes not even allowing access while waiting for your room to be ready. The staff treat customers as if they are doing us a favor by providing equipment we paid for. If the zip line/pool says open at 8 it’s only a suggestion to them as they will get to it when they can. Wet paint on play grounds isn’t even marked so when we told them about our kids covered in paint they acted as if it was our fault their clothes were dirtied. Staff was repeatedly rude. If you bring more than one car they require you pay for additional parking but also make that car park at front of the facilities, not your room. The park is a great disappointment for the cost.

A little weird that their campsite was in the middle of nowhere but it was fine because they had lots to do. I feel like people were only there because of the weekend activities. There’s nothing to do besides those weekend activities it’s in the middle of nowhere. Also the Wi-Fi didn’t work the entire time we stayed there. They didn’t explain the scavenger hunt to us at all there wasn’t any explanation on what to do or that we had to take pictures of all the places and they wanted us to find a seagull? At 8:30 pm?? I don’t think anyone could find a seagull at all. The bingo was kinda lame I feel like it was just pay to win just for a candy bar. They had a really nice pool though. A little hot for a hot tub but whatever. The brownie I had was kinda stale that they were selling. The golf course was really cool though. I didn’t like the choclate slip n slide I feel like it would have been better just to use soap it’s kinda gross to slip in slide on choclate and get all sticky and gross. The shaving cream wiffle ball felt kinda useless what’s the point of the shaving cream if you can’t get covered??

Despite some Of the reviews of being nickeled and dimed to death, we still booked our weekend at site HO3. This was a typical KOA very clean, very nice and expensive. I, however didn't feel like i was nickeled and dimed here. They did not charge us any fees for our 2 pets. We have stayed at other campgrounds that we had to pay fees for our pets. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced the staff was very friendly and attentive. We Loved playing Mini golf, which again was free. Our site was huge and spacious. We would definitely stay here again..

It's a wonderful campground. If you want an all-inclusive vacation, this is the place to go. It has a lake for fishing, peddle boats, swimming, putt putt golf, a restaurant, a gift shop, a jumping pad, and more. Also, there are special activities planned for every weekend. Everything is included with the price of your stay, there are no extra charges to play putt putt, swim, or the activities. The cabins are very nice, and the whole area is in a beautiful location. Definitely worth the price.Playground: Several playgrounds are dispersed throughout the campground.Restrooms: The restrooms I was near were just across the drive. There were steps up to the facilities however, and I didn't look around for others to be sure they were handicapped accessible.Dog-friendliness: There are cabins that are dog-friendly and there are dog play areas. They are welcome here.Picnic area: There is a gas BBQ grill at each spot and a fire ring. Our cabin had a porch swing, a ramp and steps to use, a table and 4 chairs outside and a sitting room with a couch and bench to use as a table if you would like to eat inside. The benches can be easily taken outside to eat by the fire or to add people to your porch table area.

Worst manager and owner we have ever dealt with. This place is not worth the over priced spot. There are flys everywhere the moment you go outside they swarm you. Can’t enjoy camping if you can’t be outside. They were covered over the picnic tables. Horrible place with horrible staff! Will NEVER recommend this place. They don’t cut trees for trailer to get to spots with out scratching it all up. Trim your trees, your an place RVs come you should know better! Wow. Traveling for 7 months and this is our first and last KOA experience!

We had the most incredible time for the Hallo-weekend. It was the last weekend they were open and our last trip with the camper until next spring and I'm sure glad we went! The grounds are ENOURMOUS and IMMACULATE! Hands down it's the best maintained site we have stayed at in regards to the grounds. Work out room was really clean and well maintained, laundry and bathhouse were good too (although no one can beat the bathhouses at the KOA in Logan). There was TOO much to do, we couldn't do it all! 3 playgrounds, a fishing pond, a rec pond, golf carts to rent, pedal bikes (our son was obsessed) and events for trick or treat for the grown ups and the kiddos. Can't wait to go back in the summer when it's not quite as chilly and can swim. Thank you KOA, especially Miss Amy, she is fabulous and was part of why our stay was so great.

All in all, there are better KOA's for the price, especially with this being a "resort". I'll start with the pros and then list the cons. We stayed in our camper in a premium site for reference.Pros:- Very clean and well kept (grounds, roads, and bathroom/shower rooms).- Mature trees in the older sections (close to the office) help with shade.- Fishing Pond was clean and good amount of fish to be caught.- Healthy list of activities planned (also a con below).- Store was clean and very well stocked.- Pizza and Ice Cream were pretty good!- Put Put was very very nice and a good challenge. You can tell there was thought put into this!- Check out is 2pm, so it's not such a rush to pack up the last morning which is nice.Cons:- Felt nickel and dimed to death!!!-- Found after we arrived it was an additional $8 per kid per day.-- Extra car, yup another $4 per day.-- Bring your own wood, yup charged for that (we didn't bring our own, but a couple with us did)-- Pets, added charge.-- Bring your own golf cart, yup getting charged per day.-- You get the point by now I'm sure...- Activities were a plenty, but some were paid activities and it wasn't posted. Imagine the surprise of going to do one and realizing you are going to pay even more money. Some of the activities were not very well thought out. Laser tag is all I'm saying here.- Pool has not grown with the "resort". With how many people can stay here, it's wall to wall people in a tiny pool.- Hot tub maybe fits 3, possibly 4 adults max.- Wrist bands...I loath wrist bands. If you're trying to avoid people mooching by bringing a guest and staying longer then there are way better ways to do this. To start, how about just have guests wear them and change the color by day. My 18 month old had to wear one for Pete's Sake!- Renting a golf cart is for 8 hours max, also previously not disclosed. I can kind of understand returning at the end of the night, though kind of annoying, but 8 hours!?! If you picked it up at 8am it had to be back by 4pm, then 9am and 5pm, etc. The latest you can pick up is Noon. It's priced like everywhere else around if not more. Oh, you also need a different wrist band if you rent a golf cart. Make that one for each wrist. SMH...Nice resort, but overpriced and left feeling like I was taken advantage of. I by no means have problems paying for something if it's worth it, and this to me just isn't worth it when there are KOA's like Mt. Gilead, and same for Mt. Gilead Yogi Bear around where you leave feeling like everyone had fun for a decent amount of money. We stayed Friday Night through Sunday night with 4 kids (one under 2) and came out of the trip spending $778 for the Memorial Day weekend.

Had a wonderful time with my family and furry friend, we enjoyed the swimming, fishing and campfires and relaxing under the beautiful night sky. All together a great time, prices were fair and the staff was nice. We loved how well kept the whole place was. We definitely plan on coming camping again, and would recommend family and friends. Was an amazing experience that my children and family will remember forever. This was in 2019, summer.

The best KOA we have ever stayed at. Everyone was friendly and super helpful I especially love that anything you need can be delivered to your site. This campground has so much to do from traditional swimming and fishing to paddle boats crafts and gem mining they are sure to have something for everyone. I highly recommend we loved it so much we are going back next week.

Our family loves this campground! The RV sites are spacious, level and well maintained. Forgot something? They have a well stocked camp store and even a small restaurant if you don't feel like cooking. Great activities for the kids and the staff is so friendly and helpful! We will definitely make this campground a yearly tradition!

This campsite is one of our favorites around our area. The pool area is real nice (our grandkids love it). There is a very large sand box area with lots of Tonka trucks for multiple kids to play with. They have the geology sand and mining kits for the kids. They have a huge bouncy pad for the kids to jump around on. They have a pond with small motorized squirt gun boats to play around on/ with. They have the small individual style carts they hook up and pull the kids around on at different times. They have soft serve and hard dip ice creams( think they may have like 8 or 10 different flavors to choose from), as well as milkshakes. They have a fishing pond. And many more things that I have yet to get pictures of.

We just returned from 2 days in the Yurt! I would highly recommend! Campground is very clean. Staff is very friendly and very accommodating! They are always working to ensure that the grounds are clean and their guest are enjoying themselves. Plenty of activities to keep the family busy! Bathroom are kept very clean and within a short walking distance from the Yurt! Will definitely return!

First of all, we tent camped, so that influences my review. If you go in a cabin or RV, you'll have a different experience.I have camped since I was a kid, both tent and RV. I've mostly camped at state parks, but went to a few KOA's as a kid. We went here because it says it's a "resort" version and we have little kids. The resort portion is nothing more than a repetitive schedule of activities that while we're entertaining for our kids, I don't see how anyone over the age of 6 would not become bored within a few days. Especially since there are no other sources of entertainment within 15 minute drive. Also, there are no walking trails, so and really not much green space to explore. In fact, after the first day, I told my father in law that next time were going to a local state park instead... my kids had just as much fun there and it was half the cost.As for the site... the sites barely fit tents that are 12x12 (looking at some of them, I don't think they would fit that) and one at the end of the row flooded during an overnight rain storm. Not very nice fire such a high price. Also, no enforcement of quiet hours. The weeknights were great because nobody was there. Weekends were terrible. The site next to us was playing hard rock music and there baby was screaming past 11 pm. We have a baby too, so I understand baby's screaming and won't complain, but they kept the kid up while they sat around the fire. Thank God my kids were tired enough to not wake up and the electricity at the site allowed us to try to drown the sound or with a fan. In the age of new campers due to covid, enticement of quiet hits needs to be done. In all, I highly doubt we'll be back.

Very clean and family friendly campground. Accommodating friendly staff made our stay a pleasant one. Having the patio with the grill, table and chairs, glider rocker and fire pit was worth the extra money.

One of the nicer campgrounds in Ohio, large spacious lots, good shade trees and you name it they have it in the amenity department. The camp store has more items than most Dollar General’s. Just don’t forget your wallet as everything will cost you here. As far as activities this place is in my kids top 3 for them and things to do - always something nice for them to do.
