Actually 0 stars. Dirty, crowded, rude with an extremely unprofessional staff. An employee was so rude to an elderly woman, my son and myself during our visit that I left the store to shop elsewhere. It is so messy that it reminds me of a 3 year olds bedroom who is just learning how to clean his own room by himself. Things crammed and thrown just "wherever." There are Items all over the floor that have fallen off of the shelves. You have to kick things out of your way on the floor to be able to walk and move things to try to push a cart. Usually you just don't use a cart because there is no way you can push it through the mess. Originally posted in 2018.

What can i say, it's Dollar General. :) the staff over all are friendly, if you are (i've found that to be true most places, if you give it a chance). it's taken a while to get used to the reorganization they did earlier this year, and i don't like the new checkout setup as well, but it works. sometimes i wish checkout went faster, especially in the evenings, but considering what i'm sure these folks are paid, i'd probably find it hard to muster the give-a-s**t to move faster, too. selection is good, though, for basic stuff (and art/craft supplies are surprisingly varied for a store this size). over all, they generally have what i need.

There are so many out of stock items! You can see in the pics. I use coupons and find it hard to use many due to low inventory. " Buy two get $1.00 off doesn't work if there is only one left. The aisles are very narrow at the front of the store which makes pushing a cart crazy.

I'm sorry.. but this has to be the worst Dollar general store ever, especially when everything got rearranged "updated". The shelves are always a disaster, the isles are always cluttered to where you can't get your shopping cart through. The line is ALWAYS VERY SLOW. The cashier seems to ALWAYS have difficulty with the register. I really like Dollar general's selection of merchandise . But I will not be going back in there again.

I can always depend on this place to have the staple household items that I need at a good price. It is nice to see them starting to carry more clothing items for plus sized women at a competitive price.

Was awesome! Got there rt at closing and she still let me n do grab the toilet paper my house so desperately needed! And if ya live in Shelby.... this is the last store to get it at that hour! Thanx Again!

I love Dollar general; but like most places with this 5G cell phone problem few people can get coupons thru cell phones anymore. Had them put back four cartons of frozen items that with coupons would have been 2 for $5. They even said their WiFi wouldn't download the app.

This dollar general is a great place the only thing is the older tall blonde hair lady is very very rude she dont have a nice thing to say to o hardly anyone i and many others have notice how she picks and choices if u dont look like a rich or cleaned up person she is being so rude too u i kow this bc i went in my nite clothes and she didnt even say hello or anything and as i was walkin out i heard here talkin nasty about me

The store was not very friendly. I came in and made very large purchases for a nonprofit and they acted like I was putting them out. There were a few nice employees but I dreaded going in there making big purchases because I knew they really didn’t appreciate my business.

Love the workers. Somewhat cluttered and hard to move around boxes in the middle of isle ways. But over all fantastic customer service and cleanliness.

Umm this place is a mess. The only thing good was the young employee was very nice and friendly. It seems to need better management. It was so unorganized, cluttered and a mess.

DG has 6 packs of Coca-Cola products every day 3/$9. I own a BBQ restaurant, so I buy them to resell. Always have what I need.

Did have as much merchandise in the isle,blocking areas and items I wanted to see. Most of the time when I I go in there they have merchandise to be stocked out in the isles most of the store

I enjoy going in to Dollar General due to its local and a block away from my house, but the down fall is the cashier's are slow when it comes to customers and the service 😞
