I went to Salem home depot yesterday with along list of things I need. My main goal was to get wood and have it cut to makeover my bifold doors. Donald ended up cutting the wood for me and he was AMAZING!! Kind, courteous and interactive. Donald needs a raise !! I’m needing more wood cut and I wish I knew his schedule so I could make sure I had the pleasure of his help again. Please recognize this valuable employee !!

Everyone happily assisted me to find everything. I was impressed by the free kids building session. I wasnt aware they offered such a thing. Pretty neat to see all the kids building birdhouses with their parents/ grandparents/etc. They said it's the first sat of every month from 9 to noon. Ages 5-12 I believe.Also, I ordered a tool box off their website and had it shipped to the store. No hassle picking it up and the shipping was pretty fast. Great selection of products both in store and online as well.

The employees here are always the best! They have always went above and beyond any time I've needed help with something. I can honestly say this is the one and only place I've been to countess times and have never once seen a single employee in a nasty mood, or haviing a bad day, or being rude, or not being friendly or helpful to the customers, or even just look unfriendly. These days, that is not something that you see anymore. Thank you so much for all your help and hard work and kindness.!!! Keep up the empressive and extraordinary work!!!

I love coming here especially with my father. He rides the electric scooter as he is disabled. Ei bring my dog for training purposes, we are both very well accepted treated friendelete. The staff at home depot is very knowledgeable and will help you with planning designing. They'll even cut wood and pipes for you to years specific measurements. The prices that I found on the wood burning stove pipes are way cheaper than tractor supply. I'm now going to be able to afford to install my woodburner for my house.

The 2 stars are for the employees at the customer service desk, primarily Jane who took lots of time to try & help with my lost order. I won’t go into the frustrating details of my experience other than DO NOT ORDER ONLINE from Home Depot & have an associate open large box/expensive items to check for damage.

I love Home Depot. The prices are reasonable and I've never been unable to find what I went there for. I've seen reviews that complain about poor service, but I found the exact opposite to be the case.

Watch out for the sly cashiers. Failed to put one item in my bag so they can put it back on the shelf? Sure seems that way. Wonder if they get a commission for that?

Had to grab a pallet of Quickcrete for work...it was paid for and the forklift operator had it loaded on my truck in 10 minutes, so awesome service on a Tue. I'd expect it to take a little longer on a weekend.

I had the most amazing experience here yesterday. Went in to get somethings and decided to get a new dishwasher cause ours was broke. I met three workers kaitlynn, Chris and Nathan. They were absolutely amazing. I asked about the dishwasher and even though they did work in that department they jumped into action. They were polite and very helpful and the whole experience was amazing. They made my day. Ended up not needed the dishwasher and had to return it. Yet another great experience.

Home Depot store is good but ordering stuff online they give you the run-around and you never receive your item. Then they try to pass it off at FedEx is fault. All they had to do was ship another one. But they did not. So I canceled it and went somewhere

I ordered a washer and dryer with install. I told the home depot employee that I have a long drive with no turn around so I would be willing to meet the installers at the road with a trailer. Was told that would be no issue. When the driver called 30 min in advance I told them the same. Seemed fine. After they unloaded them on my trailer, the installer informed he canceled the install. He was not allowed to touch them after they were on my trailer. No one told me this. I was left on the side of the road, by myself, in winter with a washer and dryer. It took me a few days to hire someone to install them, and the washer was defective. Since it was past 48 hours home depot could do nothing for me. It was 100% Their fault that it was past 48 hours. Now I'm stuck with a defective washer and no help from home depot. If someone would have told me they can't do the install then I could have planned for it, but now I'm out of luck, and stuck trying to deal with the manufacturer by myself. This was a horrible experience, and has changed my opinion of home depot forever.

Just spent $500 on wood and stuff. Wood needed was stocked well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Store wasn’t crowded and very thankful for no overhead music or announcements!

I just tried to return 5 under cabinet lights. It was for a business and I didn't have the receipt so I gave my id and waited. The person at the return register was on the phone. I waited a couple of min and a person came up to ask me if I needed help. I said yes and was told to move to the other register. As I picked up the lights I said "the wire is not mine" (I did not say this loudly could be easy to miss) in reference to the spool of wire on the counter where I had set my lights. That person then informed me it would probably deny it because it was electrical. I said I drove all this way (for my work the task I was givin was to return the lights) we need to try it. It denied then they set the wire done with my stuff and said sorry. I explained again that the wire wasn't mine. The wire is why It didn't go through. Tried to return just the lights. Nope my id was burned and I won't be able to make returns without receipt. They made an attempt to reverse it. Nope. I asked for a manager. They talked on the phone... Nope nothing we can do. Mistakes happen. What happens after is why 1 start. The person I was dealing with was obviously overworked and overwhelmed. There were 3 people behind the counter and a manager that refused to come resolve an issue. A phone call was not enough. You should have showed up to help fix this problem. Not leave it to 3 obviously over worked employees. That all being said not I can't do a part of my job. 10 people buying things for jobs somtimes recipes get lost or could be 60 miles from the item being returned. With my id burned I can't do my job and I couldn't even get a manager to come down and tell me to my face or rectify it and I don't believe for one second there wasn't something that could be done to fix it. Manager has unreasonable expectations for the employees and isn't doing there job. Simple as that.

We shop here often but sorry to say they did not carry our HVAC filter or coil cleaner. The one item asked a couple workers, did not know where the item was. We bought our items needed across the street at Walmart.

This is my go-to home improvement store due to it's proximity to my house. I'd probably usually rather support something that's less national chain but there really isn't anything anymore.I like this Home Depot well enough. The store associates are friendly and sometimes excessively knowledgeable. Until 2020 we used to really enjoy taking our kids there for the monthly free workshops.

Went in because we ordered a Sawzall and got a hammer drill delivered instead. Was overall not looking forward to the return/exchange. However, Kevin at the customer service desk made the experience bearable. This man went out of his way for nearly an hour and suffered through a call to corporate for us. He's the only person we dealt with at this store aside from a very pleasant greeter and honestly they both made the experience. Yall need more employees like Kevin, and you ought to give him a raise!

I realize that almost all places are short staffed, but it doesn't seem like it at this store! However, a lot of those people are young people that don't really know what they're doing or the answer to any questions, which is very poor training. I understand that someone might not know the answer to every question, but the least you can do is check with someone who does. Don't just give the customer the vaguest answer of, "I don't know" or just plain, "no". We went looking to purchase outdoor deck/dining furniture. We asked some young gentlemen if the chairs to a dining set were sold separate. They had no idea, couldn't be bothered to find out and just said, no. Then they went back to goofing off. We went to the Home Depot in Boardman and purchased the exact item that we were told we couldn't buy at the Salem store. You might not be able to train new hires on knowing everything, but they should be trained on being responsible and professional to the customers.

good inventory in store. but many times i have witnessed the lot attendants standing around talking while someone is loading their vehicle with no assistance. one time my husband and i were entering the store and a gentleman had dropped his merchandise off a cart and the attendants were standing talking and it was my husband and I who helped him pick up all the siding from the ground and load it. NOT the attendants.

Horrible customer service. I needed to buy a refrigerator over (1000 dollars ). On the site it directed me to call the store. The lady was horrible. Named Angela. I gave her the delivery address she talked over me and I told her she didn't get the house number from me. Then she got sparky asking " well what is 1880 two rd then" I told her a road number. She then began to argue that is not considered Steubenville. She is in Salem I lived in the area forever the zip code is Steubenville. Then she tells me well it won't go thru. I try to explain to her she needs to have my husband's name as the billing address. She argues that she can't sell it so I tell her go get a manager. To which she them argues a manager can't do anything. I stop her and explain I have managed Retail for many years and the manager has access to things within the system shedoesn't. Comes back and was rude yet again after she was the one that messed up bc I was right all she had to do was Change the name. So then she insost the card isn't gonna work again finally she wouldn't let me speak to anyone so I got off the phone went to lowes website and bought it there w the card she couldn't use bc she was a CSR that had no clue how to do her job.

I ordered a door from Bailey. I went to pick up the door and it was not what I was lead to believe I purchased. The store manage (Margaret) said "this happens all the time. You can take it or pay the 15% re-stocking fee and order the right one." I priced up the the one I was told we ordered and it was 2000.00 more. Unfortunately Margaret does NOT know how to train people properly and Bailey does NOT know his job. This experience has taken place because of poor corporate policies! They do NOT care about their customers.

Usually order for delivery but have gone to this location. No disappointment in anything here from staff down to products. Just purchased a porch swing and some of the screws were stripped. Fixed it by buying new screws and bolts. But this was a manufacturing defect not Home Depot's fault. Will be letting them know but like I said, that's the 1st problem we've ever had.
