Rite Aid here in Rittman is an excellent place to fill prescriptions and purchase basic health and hygiene needs. The store is clean and orderly and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I recommend them without reservation.

The store is always clean, I will give them that. However every other aspect is an absolute train wreck. They are usually understaffed or the pharmacy part is closed for various reasons. The staff they do have is typically rude. I actually switched all my prescriptions over to the Orrville store due to all the issues this one has.

I have prescriptions I cannot miss doses of in order to stay out of the ER. Since I don't currently have transportation, I tried to get them delivered. For each one, every month, I have to confirm by text message I want it delivered since I can't set that as a preference for always. I get 10 scripts, on average, per month. They can't confirm I will get my filled scripts delivered on time so I won't miss doses next week. Driver doesn't wear masks as a default, when common sense would say these are the customers who need such as a disability accommodation. Rite Aid can't be bothered to do what is best or safest for customer retention, then refuses to help the customer transfer to a pharmacy who will respect the customer's needs.

I had been with another pharmacy for well over twenty years, but when my insurance changed, I had to make a change. Most of my prescriptions are mail order, but I do need to get occasional scripts from Rittman RiteAid. They have been accommodating, prompt, appreciative that I pay in advance for refills, and friendly. It’s clear they are working hard to do all they can as the only pharmacy in the community. Are they perfect? Perhaps not, but no pharmacy is perfect. We need to extend grace to the employees, plan in advance as best we can, and work with our doctor’s offices to smooth things out, if need be. Illness is frustrating and draining, I know all too well. I find my expectations have a lot to do with outcomes.Being positive and optimistic sure helps, even on days when there is pain and feelings of being overwhelmed.

The star isn't even for the pharmacy, its absolutely ridiculous, stop saying you are taking care of customers so you can't answer the phones. You have 4-5 people running around back there. I called my refills in on a Monday morning and went to pick them up Thursday and they still weren't filled. Normally I try to be understanding and calm about back ups as I work in customer service, but lets be honest you are just down right ridiculous. Thanks to the rest of the store for trying to balance out the nice with the rude.

The store is very clean. The employees at the front check out are courteous.Now the pharmacy. I had a prescription called in Monday. I waited until Tuesday evening to pick it up. I tried calling several times and no one would answer. Pharmacy hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. I got there at 7:15 and it was closed inside. I was told the drive through was open. I was in line until 8 only to be told they didn't have the prescribed medicine. A quick glance at the computer screen and the employee knew this. I wasted 45 minutes plus 25 minutes total driving time. Today I got my prescription, but when I asked for a working phone number the lady waiting on me said, "Ma'am we're doing our best. We wait on people here and don't have time to answer the phone." Poor customer service and I'm finding a new pharmacy even if I have to drive further. It would have been nice if they had called and said the drug was out of stock or called my prescribing doctor so she could have called in in somewhere else. There was 4 people working in the pharmacy alone. No excuse for her rudeness.I wish I could give 0 stars.

They hardly ever have your prescription ready. I will call in a prescription on Monday I’ll show up Wednesday and it still isn’t ready. Today I picked up a medicine and they charged over twice what they normally charge me and all the woman said who worked there is she didn’t know why. So I paid a $113 for my medicine. I’m done with them I switched my prescriptions to giant eagle. Turns out the same medicine with good Rx is only 4.00 there.

Trying to transfer a prescription for a patient on vacation. Placed on hold for over 25 minutes, then got disconnected! Called back again and was on hold for 15 minutes before anyone picked up!People in this town should really consider what they consider appropriate pharmacy care and vote with your feet!

I had a prescription, that they would not fully fill. These ladies are rude as can be about the situation as well. It took them a whole day to tell me they would only give me a 7day script, bc she wasn't comfortable giving me my entire script. This has NEVER happened at any other rite aid, or at any other pharmacy. This is not acceptable!

everyone, take a deep breath...the rite aid in Rittman, Ohio is amazing and awesome!!!!please hear me out. I am fully aware of waiting a very long time in the drive through to get any prescriptions and the pharmacy not answering phone calls. as a community, maybe we have to look at the bigger picture and be willing to see that they are not being idle with their time and actually are working extremely hard to help the city of Rittman. they are severely overloaded with testing and vaccinations like never before. and being the only pharmacy in town, their workload has probably tripled in the past couple of years. why not be kind and appreciate their efforts? i see the hard work they do with an effort above most any other. if we don't step back and see the good that they are doing they may very well get burnt out and possibly we won't have any pharmacy in our community. please, please, please give the rite aid store in Rittman, Ohio and especially the pharmacy some grace and a break. they are doing the very best they can with what they are working with. great job rite aid!!!!!what we look for in life is what we will find. if we choose to look for the bad, we will find it, however if we look for good, we will see that. how much better are we to look for the good people do and more importantly in people themselves? the rite aid in Rittman is so, so appreciated and very highly valued!!! thanks to every effort of the crew at rite aid!

I called and checked on the status of my prescription and was told it would be ready in half an hour. 1hour and 50 minutes later I pulled up to the drive through and was told by ‘Kelly’ it would be a moment. After waiting over 15 minutes, I received a text from rite aid that my Rx was ready and I still waited! A few minutes later I received a phone call from rite aid that my Rx was ready - and I was still waiting!! Meanwhile another customer was screaming at us from the car waiting in line behind us. When my husband complained, Kelly told him not to get loud. Really!! The location of a pharmacy is no longer convenient when this kind of experience occurs. So much for shopping local - going to CVS!

I've been trying to get my prescription refills sent to a new pharmacy but they never answer the phone so it is impossible..I won't be going back to this pharmacy for myself..They have not been filling medicine when I need it..I've been a dedicated customer for over 10 years and I can't get my files transferred..Terrible what this pharmacy has become

I'm out of state and trying to transfer medical to a out of state pharmacy. Been on the phone for 4 hours. They keep.putting you on hold and never answering the call. Call back and the put you on hold again. If your really busy, just tell the person that.your swamped and unable to take the call. Rude

Take to long to fill prescriptions, I think 2 hrs is insane! And don’t call to let us know when they are ready. Charge for extra flavor in anti-biotics for kids...All around not my favorite pharmacy. I miss Ritzmans

Avoid this place at all costs. 45 minutes waiting in the drive thru because inside is closed. They NEVER answer the phone. Absolutely ridiculous. A waste of their customers time. If your understaffed shorten you hours don't refuse to answer your phones and waste people's time
