There’s a lot of different feed and gardening, pet food, lawn decor and fertilizer. Store is clean. There a few bad things. A little higher priced and the older cashier is unhappy. I know she is a staple. She has been grumpy for a couple years.Almost feel uncomfortable coming up to the register .

Was driving and following this van and he was swerving all over and not doing the speed limit. Then slammed on his breaks to make a left turn with no turn signal. So we honked at him and he proceeded to flip us off and then followed me and my family to a gas station then started to scream at us trying to cause a scene. I called and reported him to the so called supervisor and he told me he didn't care and hung up on me. What kind of business allows their employees to act like this. Absolutely uncalled for. And I'll make sure to blast this company all over the place especially how the supervisor handled the situation.

This is a Great place to go for just about anything you need. The staff is amazing. I used to go there when I worked down the road for everything, but being 30+ Miles away from my home I every now and then just say heck with it I'm going to Pettigrews Hardware. I look forward to going to the store often! Love everything about it but mostly the people! Always willing to help answer questions, find what you need in the store, help with solutions and they are always friendly to me and my family! They are also great supporters of ourlocal schools, community and 4-H kids. Their store is exceptionally clean and very well organized. I consider them all my friends!! This is a "Bass Pro Shop" and according to the cashier "they don't allow" the use of Bass Pro Shop gift cards. Other items seemed higher priced than even the big box stores, inventory seemed decent and business was generally very clean and organized. Not over- impressed but in a pinch will add this store to a possible option for items needed.

They have a good variety of things from plumbing to painting; really anything you would need for home repairs. Except lumber/wood. They do not carry any kind of lumber. Yard decor. Owner/Manager (?) Is very nice and he is extremely knowledgeable. Goes out of his way to help.They have a large selection of feed and a drive thru area where thy load it for you. (I only buy cracked corn for the rooster)

I have always had courteous ,fast service at the drive-thru. Nathan and Bob do a great job...The whole crew, Lonnie. Linda and the rest of the family and crew are always helpful as well.....It is a great asset to the area, and a great plce to shop.

Most important thing is they carried what I needed. Looking for Bluebird food. Mealworms . They have plenty in stocks along with all bird houses,feeders,food. Anything for the birds. Over weekend made 4 stops elsewhere. Was told out or not coming on truck yet! Called the store to check. Very nice lady answered all questions. Good people. 4Stars to them.

Great store, with good prices, we switched our dog food to Loyall Life and our dogs have loved it since, Plus they offer a great promotion when you buy 10 bags of the Loyall Life dog food you get one free and that really helps out with having two dogs. Very nice family run business, always nice to see the children in the store and they are always well behaved! Our dogs love visiting and the people love seeing them! Great place, great prices!

If you’re looking for a hardware store with millions of dollars of inventory and employees who don’t know what they’re talking about or, know where anything is this store isn’t for you. However, if you want one of those “hometown” hardware stores where the staff treats you like family and has a friendly, knowledgeable staff this place is worth the drive! The Pettigrew’s have been a staple in the Southern Portage county for decades. They continue to invest in their community today with their store and themselves through many of the local youth organizations. I no longer live in the area, but frequently make the drive because you can’t get a lot of the specialty hardware and livestock supplies they carry anywhere else.

Friendly and helpful people there each time I have gone, which is well over 20-30 times now in the last few years. The drive through service is amazing especially for grabbing some pellet fuel or salt.

I called in to confirm that they had an item, after being on hold for a few min, the older lady I was talking to told me they had it hung up on me, so went to pickup item and when I was checking out her register was not working properly and she got rude with me about it, pretty sure she is the one I talked to on the phone as well. She was even rude to the people in front of me.

Today I bought Nutrena Senior Safe Choice horse feed. Unfortunately , when I got home, I found that it was not the Senior feed, but the Original. I need to exchange it, and was surprised at the error because it was clearly marked on the receipt, and we'd be been buying the Senior product for years.
