Great local store and the BEST place to purchase freshly cut and packaged meat. They often have things in stock that other places don’t. They have a pretty wide variety on the shelves too!Being a small town store, they’ve also been willing to put an order in for things you can’t find anywhere else, though it does depend on whether the distributors have it. One of my best friends was happy that they ordered scrapple on one of their trucks.The new selection in their pick 5 is cool; very economical right now too!

Love IGA easy to get in and out. Good selections for everyday meals. Deli has a good variety of lunchmeats, cheese and fresh hot meals. It's a lot easier to get in and our of.

Alot of thing are still over priced but you can find some good meat deals and sales. the deli is always nice and with the added rotisserie chicken it's a weekly stop for me

I am glad to have this store local to where we live... I also get a kick out of being able to bring my Children & grandchildren to a place that their Great Great Grandfather & Grandmother, Great Grandfather/Grandmother & now their Grandparents & they shop as well... Don't fine that much these days .... Very clean, helpful, great prices on their meat selection...

I've been shopping west portsmouth IGA for many years back when it was called Foodland when Carl owed the store. My parents shopped there before then. They are wonderful people frendly and always willing to help in any way. Prices are great. Raising three children as a single parent theres times i needed diapers or fever medicine and didn't have enough money and carl would take out of his pocket to pay for it. When got it i would give it back. There no way i could say how greatful i am for IGA and its employees. Mrs. Summers and Mr. Mosley always greets you with a smile. Thank youMrs. Gammon
