First, a little heads up. Its best to look at their stock online and get an idea of what you want to look at. They're showcase space is very limited because it's a small shop and they keep a lot in the back. Given my numismatic tastes, I'll be sure to call before I make the drive from Columbus again.They're good, friendly people. Prices are competitive. Daniel even suggested a site setting opportunity just a little south of his place. That wall was cool too see, and I couldn't resist a quick drive over the bridge.I'll be back again. Thanks guys.

Took my parents coin collection there and received pennies of what it was worth and also after getting home realized a bag of coins and tubes of coins wasn't gave back very disappointed and nothing I can do because I was given no receipt I know the currency alone extended what the payout was not to mention the bills but that's ok cause karma is a firm aspect towards people like you that know someone knows nothing and you take advantage of that...gods speed

Just got the Morgan Dollar and no cents nickel I ordered. My uncle and his father before him had a coin shop in Philadelphia. They taught me about coins. I am very happy with my coins from Dan and will be buying more from him soon. Possibly today. Fair price, and his videos are very informative. Thank you Dan….. adding a second review the only way I know how. Just received my 3rd delivery from Dan. I believe I paid $5 for delivery. Please believe me when I tell you he spent much more than that on packaging alone. Your coins definitely won’t be damaged in transit.

The $100 grab bag I got was exceptional. For $100 I got 6 SLQs, 5 Washington quarters, a scarce Barber quarter, a scarce Coronet cent, a Peace dollar, a Morgan dollar, a Liberty V nickel, an assortment of dimes (Barber, Mercury, Roosevelt, Canadian), several Indian head cents, a roll of wheat cents, and a couple of other items that I'm forgetting. From what I've seen from video reviews, the average grab bag seems to either hit the mark or exceed it by a little bit (or in some cases barely miss it), but I'd be willing to bet that some more of the grab bags are an absolute steal for the price. Definitely exceeded my expectations and will probably buy another one at some point in the future. Hopefully I'll be lucky again! :) I thoroughly enjoy the YouTube channel - thanks for doing the hard work to make the hobby more enjoyable.

I could not find any local dealers that I felt comfortable dealing with to sell my father’s coin collection. While researching coins and to educate myself, I found Daniel’s YouTube channel. I learned so much about coins, dealers, the complexity of grading, pricing, etc. from both the customer’s perspective as well as the dealer’s perspective. I could not get any idea from any local dealers on how they determine value for even the most simple transaction. Daniel has a video where he goes through a collection and shows how he does the appraisal. After itemizing my collection and doing a rough estimate based on what I learned from his video, I felt I had a reasonable idea of its value. I sent the collection off to him and got a quick response with an offer which I thought was fair and a check a few days later. This saved me so much time and stress I would have had going to unfamiliar dealers trying to get a fair deal. Highly recommend Daniel (and his YouTube channel)!

I’ve become unhappy with the company I buy collectibles from (their inventory has gotten rough). I’ve seen this shop on YouTube and watched several videos the gentleman on the video seem professional trustworthy and being a small business this is the type of place I like to give my business. I decided to call a guy answered the phone and I very politely said I had a couple questions and if he had a second the first thing out of his mouth was “I don’t answer questions about coins unless your buying, it through me back and I responded with I saw your videos and thought you might be the shop to call and I am buying he then responded with the word ok. I then explained I was no longer buying and I hung up. I the went to his website and closed out my cart and canceled my purchase of $800, I just wanted to know if you had access to certain currency notes.. I don’t know if it was the guy in the video or an employee but they really made me feel that me calling them was an annoyance and the didn’t want to talk to me. Very disappointing! I was excited to do business with this shop.

Took me longer than I’d like to open the package due to how well it was taped. Prices are reasonable and there isn’t anything missing from the order—aside from a list of what all is in a mystery lot. I don’t mind paying a little extra to not have to worry about getting what was advertised. Can’t comment about the physical shop since I’m an online customer.

I ordered 2 items which would not check out? So I asked for help. He seen my items in my basket check out so there should have been no issues, right? Wrong! He could not find my cart? Why? It was right there. The 1989-S Prestige Set plus the Accented Hair 1964 Proof Set. Thats it. Order those and all would be OK. I have no reason why he could not find out what I wanted to order as I stated they were in my cart already. I just couldn't check them out. I cannot navigate this convoluted Web Site save my first born? I hope I get the two items I had in cart. I really do!!! Thank You. Regards, TRNote: There were 3 accented hair proof sets. I have now bought three $100 grab bags from Portsmouth coins. And I just wanted to say that I am very happy with all three. Always a great value in my opinion and very surprised at the different things you get. Anyone can go to their local coin shop and cherry pick what they want for $100. But if you want a mystery and a value. The $100 coin bags in my opinion are a very good deal and fun. Great company.
