The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The girls go out of their way do to help with anything you need. You can find anything you want almost at Dollar General, I go there for anything from my feminine products to my dog food you can even buy groceries. It's under New Management and he has really done great with the store it's much cleaner and stocked up.

Male worker followed a man outside the store trying to fight with him today very unprofessional the worker made us uncomfortable I understand the half to watch for shoplifters but this young man didn't need to be all up in our personal space

The pictures lie ...drink coolers are bare.. definitely not the selection of product shown. Not the cleanest of stores either. Better off going to Walmart unfortunately.

I am giving the store the lowest rating possible due to what I saw from the very rude female clerks at checkout. It is very offensive to whisper about your customers and mock them for what they are buying.Most of the more pricey items in the store have their stickers removed or scratched off to put people in a awkward position to buy them, same for sales and is hopefully not on purpose. The store is located in a rough area of Portsmouth but is kept fairly clean and organized, although you will run into some interesting locals both inside and outside the store.

The employees of this Portsmouth, Ohio store are the nicest in any of this type of story I've ever been in. Even in this challenging part of town, the store was well stocked, clean, and bright. The store manager must be very skilled.

A nice selection of items, however it's too cramped and everything seems so out of place. Also, the employees aren't the friendliest people on the planet. But at least the prices are good

This site is disorganized and cluttered, therefore locating items difficult. In the peak summer hrs, the air conditioning is insufficient, prompting hurry in,hurry out..leisurly shopping is out of the question. The staff is friendly and cheerful, as a whole unfamiliar with stock and locarion of items, unable to assist shopper.

Friendly manager and staff, always willing and ready to help with whatever question you may have. The store however is an older store one of the oldest that still in its original location so there's some history there but there's hardly no parking and it's very crowded at times.

I went here I used my coupons I work at the dollar general in lucasville but I live on the westside. This dollar General is only 8 to 10 mins away from me so its right down moreless.. They are a very nice store just don't have alot of clothing but they do have slot of home interior design stuff for homes and alot of other stuff I like all the employees and Jana is an awesome store manager and a good friend. Thank u for letting me leave a comment I do recommend this store u will get good service by all the employees and if u ever need help they are always there to led a helping ✋ and the Dollar General in lucasville has awesome employees also they all help each other and help out they're customer's and the customers are always satisfied cause we try to make things right and help the customer with what he or she needs help with always there if u walk into adollar general u will always get friendly service.. 😊😊

I had a bag from a different store and they said that I had to leave it up front with them so I gave her the bag and when I go to check out I ask for my bag and they could not find it they think they give it to someone else and that basically I was just out of luck they didn't make a report on it or nothing they said they knew who they give it to and she comes in all the time and they would get it back that has been over 2 weeks ago still nothing

Tell me how the name brand items are now cheaper then most Dollar store brand items?? Makes no sense. I use to shop here on almost a daily, always weekly basis but I've watched as the prices continue to rise. Needless to say I will not be shopping there anymore. I can find these items cheaper at family Dollar & Walmart.

You can get coupons online, great selection for many miscellaneous items, very good place to cheaply shop for children. Never had a bad experience here, the workers are friendly.

I bought house supplies and forgot an item at the store. The following day I returned with my receipt and explained my situation and the workers allowed me to grab the item from the shelf with no problem
