These folks are so nice and serve tasty, creamy soft serve. We stopped by to keep a promise to our kids while on vacation. It was cash only and all we had were credit cards. Not only that, it was after just after the Dairy Bar closed (I know, we’re awful). The owner (I assume) was working. She hadn’t noticed the time because she’s was hosting staff appreciation night and had been making pizzas for her staff, so sweet. She said our kids were going to have ice cream with or without cash and just tell her which flavours they like. Too kind! We stopped the next morning to pay for the ice cream and the sweet person received it with a smile and thanked us like their hospitality was a common occurrence. Love this place!

Love this place. The food and ice cream are great. I love the fried pickles and mushrooms. They also have a putt putt area. Staff is always friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Someone in a wheelchair can easily access this place.

Very disappointed brought my family from New York because I told them it was an amazing place to try and the woman close the window before taking our order which was fine but a lime started to collect behind us so a young man came and took our order. After we sat down about 10 minutes later my husband went and ordered a bacon cheeseburger and mozzarella sticks. His order and everyone else AFTER us was already done and have of the people had already left finally about 30 to 40 minutes later we get our barely warm food. I was so disappointed and my family thought it had to do something with our color because we were the only ones treated like that. I wanted to show them a nice friendly place but guess I chose the wrong place.

Family Owned, Fast Food, Pizza, Ice Cream and Putt Putt Golf. Open from February to November, this family owned business offers a covered, outdoor, dining area big enough for 4 large picnic tables. There are giant trees in the surrounding yard providing shade for an additional 12 picnic tables.Much of their staff are high school and college students, but all do a great job of keeping the food flowing. They offer footlong hotdogs, a good variety of sandwiches and sides that include French fries, fried mushrooms, and a side salad. Wednesday there is usually a discount on pizza, so wait times may be longer then.There is a good variety of ice cream goodies including milk shakes, cones (with swirled flavor choices), banana boats, and sundaes. You can also purchase quarts or pints of ice cream.The Fun Putt Putt course offers a challenging game with a variety of slopes, curves, and a water obstacle. The course is lighted and is open for new starts until an hour before closing.

A great place to grab a bite as well as a cool treat and play some mini golf if ya have time. Many picnic tables around the lawn make it a dog friendly place to stop with Fido .

I highly recommend this dairy bar, the food is always great with a big selection of ice cream flavors. Sometimes it can get crowded but it's worth the wait. Plenty of picnic tables and They also have a mini golf course that is fun for kids of any age.

Riverboat Captain pushing barges through here, I had the opportunity to eat here while waiting for a crew change. FANTASTIC burger, GREAT onion rings SUPER atmosphere. Takes me back to my youth! CAN'T wait to try their Root Beer Float???!!!

My family and I love this place! They have great service, and friendly employees. Their miniature golf course is very nice, and well maintained. I definitely recommend visiting the Buckeye Dairy Bar!

The Onion Rings were a little well done, but the pulled Pork BBQ with Slaw was excellent. Have not eaten here in a long time, don't know why the food is always good and the service is excellent.

Footers are good, nothing to write home about, milk shakes are good, neat little environment. They have a very large menu for a small shop very impressive. Give it a try I think you’ll enjoy, I know I did.

As a former resident of this town to find out the ownership treats their employees like garbage and i had to find out on TIKTOK...i will definitely not be visiting this place ever again. Will be sharing the video with everyone I know that the owners can be absolutely terrible people.

A West Side institution. You'll be surprised how many of your friends, old classmates, and neighbors you'll meet here. The food is consistently above average. There is plenty of room to sit or take it to go. While you're here, try some mini-golf.

I'm newer to the area, but I already love this place. We went the other night after doing some archery at Shawnee Park. The dairy bar is great. Friendly staff and food/shakes that were much better than they had any right to be, and better than I was expecting. I got the mozzarella sticks, cheeseburger deluxe, and a butter pecan shake. (kisses lips with fingers) Just delish! I highly recommend it. It can get insane busy out of nowhere, so I still need to get the patterns down and see when the best time to go is.

I'm from New York was in porthmouth ohio visiting my kids and grandkids we are also puertorican and I saw and experienced how different we were treated our order wasn't that complicated just ice cream and milk shake but for some reason everyone that order after ur got there order before us including a family of 6 that had ordered food and drinks and ice cream I'm not use to this kind of treatment never had experienced it in all my life in New York but it was sad how ppl still get mistreated just for who they are

Me and my family just came across this place a couple weeks ago by Google search, for local things in our area. This place is a gem, let me tell you. Their food is awesome!! And the staff that work there are friendly and nice. The miniature Golf was fun for the whole family.

Most of the time when we think of Dairy Bars who have images of soft-serve ice cream, coneys, and burgers, but if you stop into Buckeye Dairy Bar the wise (and thrifty) foodie should try one of their pulled pork BBQ sandwiches with slaw. At $1.69 the BBQ is far less expensive than the burgers, which in my opinion taste like liquid smoke applied to cardboard. Also if you have a hankering for a milk shake this dairy bar makes them "made to order" so you can mix and match flavors...try marshmallow/hot fudge or pineapple/raspberry.

Pretty quick service regardless of whether you walk-up and order or call-in. Service members are really nice and helpful. Food is always terrific as usual. Personally my family and I eat there roughly 2-3 times when it opens just cause of how convient it is for us. Overall, great place to get some food and even play some mini-golf if you're interested in that.

Best dairy bar with best prices anywhere! We got 2 bbq sandwiches,fried mushrooms,mozz.cheeze sticks,a water and a lg. shake for $22!Compare to a dairy bar in Seaman Ohio that recently changed owners..we got 2 fish sandwiches,a footling Coney,fries,onion rings , cheese sticks and a small shake and it cost $35!!!! ( And was tasteless)Buckeye is our favorite dairy bar and I've been to a lot of them over the yrs! Hope it never closes! Only thing that is missing is mushroom gravy for the steak hoagies( stromboli.) I don't like hoagies with pizza sauce..u can make a really good mushroom swiss burger with mushroom sauce too!

Visiting the area while camping and so glad we stopped in after a long hike. Ordered the crispy chicken salad (ranch was delicious), cheeseburger deluxe with fries and slaw, bacon sandwich, two sundaes and a small vanilla for the dogs. Everything was very good including the prices. Also very impressed at how clean and inviting the whole set up was. Will definitely return when back in the area!
